Prolia Side Effects (Page 142) (Top voted first)
UpdatedI would like to know of any side effects others may have experienced after receiving Prolia infusions. Up to now I have none.
Re: Judy (# 2248)
I am interested in finding HyloGel. It is listed on Amazon, but out of stock. I went to the Canada Drugs website, but could not find it.
Where did you obtain yours? I use Autologous eye drops, but since they require refrigeration I cannot carry them around with me and this makes a problem for travel. The products over the counter do nothing.
Re: Marion (# 2267)
I am so very sorry you got another DVT. I 'think' I read somewhere that we have something to dissolve them like the shot for PE's. You may want to look around and see what you can find. Mine were caused from being on 10-20mg of Pred per day for a solid year and no tapering off. My blood went nutzzzzz. DVT's and double saddled PE's. The shot got rid of the PE's but was VERY expensive. Can they find out what specifically is making your blood thick? Do you think it could be related to Prolia? Also Radiologists can go into the veins and remove old clots if they have not hardened so you don't get the ugly varicose veins on your legs. A very frightful world dealing with those two very deadly things. I am very happy tho that I did not allow my Dr. to put in mesh to stop them from travelling up because that is now a legal suit. Also very lucky when it went thru my heart it just slipped thru and caused no damage at all. I was on Warfarin for a few years to make sure nothing returned. It has problems of it's own in that one cannot eat healthy greens. Xarelto is a better choice but I don't remember Warfarin having any bad side effects except for constant blood monitoring. It's very easy to get too thin blood with it. Hope and pray you can get some help and relief from this. Be well~

Did you stop your prolia? I have had a total of 3 injections and am miserable with hot flashes and bloating.
Re: Marilyn (# 2273)
Yes- I stopped. I will not get another injection. Others seem to react after several or more shots. I did the very first time.
Re: Sal (# 2270)
Hi Sal. Have you ever considered Mat Pilates as an alternative to Yoga? A lot depends on the trainer but I sure was at my peak when I did it. Maybe I can find day classes now. It was developed as a healing method for ballerinas. Be well~
Re: Linda (# 2266)
I am in the same boat. I had to get all my teeth cut out and now have to get dentures. I know all these doctors and the drug companies lie to avoid litigation and I think that is pitiful because someone could potentially die from this poison they call Prolia!
Re: Poodle (# 2260)
Hi Poodle! Thanks. No, no colour, just occasional cloudiness. I'm a bit hazy (no pun intended) about the details. All these various symptoms come and go, sometimes giving a false sense of security.
As usual, my skin issues have bounced back bigly ??, and in the last day or so I have varicose veins at the back of my left calf. The main problem with my eyes at present is itching eyelids. So many unwelcome surprises in a relatively short time.

Hi and thanks for your response. Heaven help us if Prolia thickens blood as well as everything else that it seems to be responsible for. However my problem stems from Protein C deficiency. I have an appt with my haematologist this afternoon and hopefully he will get me on to something better than Xarelto. I will have to deal with the Prolia problem when this is sorted. My Xarelto side effects eg pins & needles with burning in my limbs which are really bad when in the prone position certainly are much worse with a larger dose due to the DVTs. None of my medical people will agree that Xarelto causes these side effects; not the haematologist, neurologist or several GPs
Re: Marion (# 2280)
One last question please: Were you ever on Prednisone for skin problems with Prolia? I know for 100% sure that Pred. can cause DVTs and PEs if it is not tapered off correctly. Your only other alternative to the X would be warfarin and it has no side effects but someone has to come to your home and draw blood at least once a week so you don't get too thick or too thin. You also cannot eat green veggies with it or cabbage. I have the 'pins and needles' in one leg but it's from a pinched nerve in my back. Not always, just sometimes. I agree that it is most annoying! If you needed surgery or invasive dental work, you have to go off of it for I think I remember 6 weeks. Hopefully, the blood specialist will figure out what is going on with you because it certainly is not normal at all. Please let us know what is found and if it is a new side effect of Prolia. Be well~

Hi Sal, I can get them at Shoppers Drug Mart or from my ophamologist. I live in Canada but as I mentioned, I could not get them in Florida so I now make sure I have a good supply when I go away. Expensive....I paid $60 plus tax last week! Not sure if Shoppers ships to the US.
I had two shots of this poison called Prolia and I would like to respond to many who have said that they can't walk due to they Prolia I know what your problem is the infection in and still the information just keeps on coming I couldn't walk for 2 years now because of this I'm now going to a heart center to have my veins checked and I would advise you to do the same I wouldn't have this again for anyting in the I have punished the
for 2 years but know this that this
infection is running through your veins I know this because I've had to take so many rounds so many rounds of antibiotics and the internet connection keeps coming back Time After Time seem like nothing takes care of the infection you need to go to a heart specialist and have him to run some kind of test on your veins this is been the most miserable I have been ever in my life and this Prolia is not any good for anybody I don't care what the doctor says anywhere but most of the doctors here in Kingsport aren't even interested in finding out what the problem is with Prolia or what your condition is since I have taken the antibiotic my legs seem to be moving a little bit better so I'm thinking the antibiotic is helping with the that's all I'm going right for now because if I get any more information I will pass it on to you by the way I haven't heard from the lawyer yet opI will soon hope somebody . a movement also not only the teeth that are on my gums that are fully impacted with infection

How are you feeling now? Are you aware of any class action suit on Prolia? I have breast cancer and went through strong chemo and radiation and recovered well from it all. I felt so good and happy until I had a Prolia injection. Since my Prolia injection, I have felt horrible; menopause symptoms again, lower abd pain, shoulder pain. It's got to be from the prolia as my body had recovered ao nicely after chemo. I will never take Prolia again. How long did it take for you to get it out of your system?
What a poison!
Re: Judy (# 2283)
I received my Hylo Gel drops ( I chose the Forte because of severe dry eyes). I was able to obtain them from Amazon.
So far So very good. Thank you for the info.
Mt Autologous drops are good, but they require refridgeration, so it is difficult to get enough doses. This is a great alternative
Good news:. My DEXA shows Osteopenia,no Osteoporosis !
My Collegen production has doubled.
Of course, I was warned that this will not continue without meds,. I will take my chances
May a dialysis patient use prolia if that person does not urinate.
75 year old patient
Re: Giralda (# 2288)
I am looking for dialysis patients who use prolia. Is this not dangerous. Did someone use this.

I had my first injection 7 months ago & after 4 months started having severe leg pain in both legs more severe on right. I could hardly bear, couldn't sleep, then my hands started having pain, & both hands are so painful. I refused to take 2nd shot & contribute all this from injection. Never had any pain before Prolia. Needs to be taken off market!
Re: Terri (# 81)
I had Prolia shots, have had a number of dizzy spells and have had four really falls, resulting in bad injuries. As with you fortunately I was not driving. Prolia is a horrible drug and should only used for bone cancer patients, as it was originally for.
Re: Gloria (# 2296)
My Mother died after half year when the specialist gave here the Prolia.
Giralda (# 2297)Giralda, I am so sorry about your Mother. My condolences to you. This is so sad, and again I am so sorry.
