Problematic Side Effects On Cymbalta??!!

I was placed on 30mg to start, with progressive increases monthly....at first wk on this dose, noticed itching & hives (mostly on scalp, neck, arm areas) then, had noticed severe shaking of both hands on & off thru out day & night. The worst side effect was by far dizziness & 1 episode of passing out! I literally was walking into a rm., as i closed the door, got dizzy, world blacked out & i woke out of this on the floor!!! I only took the 1- 30mg cap once a day (b 4 bedtime) for total of no longer than 2-3 wks. Med discontinued! Has n e one else had n e of these side effects??? I am somewhat healthy 45 y.o. w no HBP, Diabetes or n e other health prob to report other than, Chronic Reoccurring Pancreatitis ( non alcohol related) Depression, asthma (controlled) L5, S1 disc bulging nerve imp. S, abd. Pain related to Pancreas & Colitis treated w/MSIR 15 mg qid. Previously was on ALOT MORE Morphine mg for pain, but reduced mg strength & doses due to nec.as Fl. Is VERY strict w meds & recently cut alot of pts. Mg's down.... I beat dr to the punch by tapering self. Nothing in my past health justifies these nightmare side effects!!!! Tried to include n e info pertinent, any one else????
P.S. the tapering was last year, not in window of these side effects......

The itching and hives are indicative of a possible allergic reaction, according to FDA reports, which means the Cymbalta might not be the right medication for you. The passing out is also very concerning.

These issues should be discussed with your doctor, as you may need to stay away from this medication in the future.

Some side effects may also be more severe, due to other medications that you are taking.

I see you say that you stopped it... are you feeling, better, yet?

Yes, thank god dr agreed to have me stop this med. I also got calf cramping episodes at night. Within 2-3 days of stopping, all side effects subsided & dr agrees was allergic reaction plus horrid side effects. NO IMPROVEMENT ON IT AT ALL... So, in my case, was for the best to dc med. Other options r available, but at this point, happy to b off Cymbalta!!!
