Private Doctor To Prescribe Methadone Instead Of Clinics In Fort Worth Tx (Page 4)
UpdatedI took Hydrocodone for pain for several years and became very dependent. I have been going to a Methadone Clinic now for 2 years and it saved my life. I have led a productive life since. I take care of my parents and they both are bedbound. It is getting so hard for me to go to the clinic daily. Does anyone know of a private doctor in Fort Worth Texas that subscribes Methadone? Thank you for your help
Im looking for a physician who will prescribe methadone for pain not because of an addiction.

DR NOOR GAJRAJ IS A PAIN MANAGEMENT & SUBOXONE/SUBUTEX DR. HE IS CHEAP SND THE BEST!! THERE U GO MY PEEPS FROM DFW!!!!
Hi I just moved to the area and I've been on methadone for about a year-and-a-half and I work construction I have to start work real early and going to the clinic every morning to get my dose is being a pain in the butt so I was wondering if you knew of any good doctors in the Dallas-Fort Worth area that prescribe methadone I do have insurance any additional information would be helpful thank you
LOOK!!! I'M TRYING TO HELP EVERYBODY OUT THERE TRULY IN PAIN.... HERE YOU GO: Dr Holleman in Tyler, Tx. He prescribes methadone, suboxone/subutex and fentanyl patches..also he's cool with marijuana on a u/a. $350 first visit. $155 after..... Dr. Weedman in Texarkana, AR. Just across border is $200 first visit. $100 after. He will prescribe oxycodone, hydrocodone, morphine and dilaudid. Not cool with anything coming up on u/a. And downside is you have to get your rx filled in AR bc that's where his license to practice is.... Dr. Barroga in Dallas. He offers the full range of medication treatment options except methadone. $400 first visit. $300 after. You will be taken care of here. A lot is offered. Like $20 toradol and b12 shots. But he is strict as far as u/a's. They are not random. They are EVERY time. And you cant fail for marijuana or anything.
I am a methadone patient and I'm tired of paying $300 a month at the clinic, CDHS. The bad part it feels more like probation than a clinic and I do my program right. I just need a doctor that prescribes it. I have mri's for proof of herniated disc. I'm in the Grand Prairie/Arlington area. You would be saving a life by just helping me find a doctor. {edited for privacy}
Re: NEWSUN (# 15)
You can get take homes from the clinics if you stay clean.
I am from the Midland Texas area and I have been going to a methadone clinic for eight years now. I was sent there by the hospital for treatment of my pain, however, I have come to realize after tolerating for so many years all of the rule changes as the manager pleased, not only is there no doctor but take homes are near impossible IF you do the right thing... The manager has full control over everything and bcuz some aren't liked there you get your take homes when she feels like it. I have been on benzos since before I stated the clinic and now I'm being denied supposedly for the benzos all though I've finally gotten the take homes... Make sense?? No I didn't think so, I am desperate to find a doctor that will prescribe methadone pills and slowly detox me as I have asked for years now at the clinic for detoxification and denied please I have been dealing with this crap for too long and the people that sell drugs and pills in and outside the parking lot get more benefits there than anyone, plus I have been denied the right to speak to or get the address or phone number of the Dr that used to be there.. We currently have NO Dr. I just am begging please anywhere in Texas that methadone not the methadose that clinics give out a name of a Dr that will help.
Re: Chris1 (# 17)
I totally agree with you. I used to go to a methadone clinic for 3 yeas. I woke up 1 day and told myself to get off of it....I did, but it was the worst drug to come off of.
It's all about the money to these clinics, and their goal is to keep you on it and increase your methadone as much as they can.
Just sad
Re: Alan Houston Tx (# 60)
Maybe that is true for you but not all. I’ve been a chronic pain patient for many years and prescribed methadone 16 years and it works for my pain better than any other pain medication I have tried. I have tried them all...
Re: Zac CMA (# 30)
Zac is correct. Methadone clinics are for addicts NOT chronic pain patients. And if you are a chronic pain patient, your regular GP can prescribe Methadone. Be aware of a new law in CA at least, U/A's WILL be done every 6 months. Lord help you if you have something not prescribed by your doctor in your urine. Except my pain specialist doesn't care about Marijuana in urine bc I have a Medical Marijuana Card. With that I can grow 10 plants in my garage tent. Really helps my pain and anxiety. I also break out in Shingles 6 X a year....I tried CBD in beeswax and eliminated the pain immediately and dried it up. MIRACLE.
Re: Verwon (# 1)
She's going to have go daily for a period of time before they'll give her weeklies or monthly. I'm on monthly's but I've been going to methadone clinics for eternity it seems. But it keeps me straight and I've been employed at the same company for the last twenty years. It's not for everyone but it works for me.
Re: Chris1 (# 17)
Methadone is the only thing that worked for me. Ice tried suboxone, abstinence, and others. But it was methadone and GOD that pulled me out of the depths of opiate abuse. Ice been on methadone for ten years and although ill be on methadone for the rest of my life. At least I could live without the he'll of getting money everyday. And for that I am thankful for the mgmt.
Re: Cody (# 63)
Hi any luck finding a dr my husband is going to the clinic every morning at 4am it’s hard with a job
You people do realize that methadone is point-blank the hardest thing to get off of in the whole Drug World any kind of medication you'll ever get on will never ever be not even half as hard to get off methadone in methadone kills you from the inside out you're crazy as hell to ever take methadone and especially if you're on hydrocodone and went from Hydrocodone to methadone are you serious that's a joke in itself.
Re: Doc88 (# 74)
That is 100% not true at all. It does not kill you from the inside..people who say that don't know what they are talking about.
Re: Doc88 (# 74)
why not answer the question instead of giving your ignorant ass unwanted opinion??
Re: Doc88 (# 74)
You need to look up the VA/DoD report on all drugs there is about right or nine pages on methadone. One of the good things about methadone is that it doesn't collect in the kidneys or liver. All other pain meds do
Re: Robyn (# 77)
I've been on Methadone for 12 years for pain my clinic which is very good here in New Jersey. They are good in every way but the medication. They don't give out the red syrup, they were giving out something that attacked my stomach and it was horrible. I had esophagitis and I would almost throw up every time I took it. When given I don't know what to do because I don't want to switch to fentanyl but the new stuff they're giving us is all pure sugarless flavor free, so on so forth, and it's not doing what it should be doing. I'm on 130 mg. Yeah, it ends up knocking me out, but not until after. And it's not helping the pain and I don't want this. I don't know where else to turn and I will not go on that though can somebody tell me the proper ingredients of methadone and why the clinics don't give the same stuff out? Thank you, Donna
Re: Chris1 (# 19)
You should really know your facts before you cut other people down. So snotty too. Like you know something when you clearly dont.; ""They do prescribe methadone for pain. Why wouldn't they. Its a narcotic and it works wonderfully for pain. I should know...I take it. As do many many people. You really made yourself look like a stupid know it all who knows nothing about pain management. Matbe you should quit messageing until you can apologize to that person.
Re: Chris1 (# 17)
LISTEN TO THIS PERSON FOR REAL! DO NOT EVER PUT METHADONE IN YOUR BODY! I've been stuck/tied down to this clinic for 10+ years even though I have followed protocol and have remained clean from all opiates my husband and I have made a small life for ourselves. But still tied down to this clinic bc of the severity of the withdrawal... yes I have walked my dose mgs. down, they have complete control of ur whole life. It's almost like a drug dealer, if u do something they don't approve of, such as consume cannabis, they can and will throw u out and don't care how much u suffer from withdrawal. Yes you can acquire "take-homes" but u must fall under THEIR criteria to do so and its only 2 weeks at a time no matter how long you have been there on the medication. They can even kick you off the clinic if u have medication prescribed to you from another doctor and I'm not even talking about opiates. They don't care if you take those as long as they know about it. I have a life and my family back but due to the fact that the doctors and staff can now run PMPs which breaks/violates ur HIPPA law to find out what doctors u are seeing and what other medication you are having filled at any pharmacy... many people are finding themselves in the same boat as I. They took my take-homes and my husband's as well bc we see a therapist that was very aware we were on the clinic and prescribed us both medication that they didn't approve of. Even though the methadone clinics claim their anonymous, they're not. They thrive off of $ and keeping people tied down to them for life if they feel they're about to lose patients.
