I was diagnosed for hypertension, i was administered pritor plus 40mg. my bp went down but as day goes by, i'm feeling weak...what seems to be the problem..thank you

I am taking termisartan pritor plus and rifampicin. can these cause my bones to weaken, can it cause osteroporosis?
I had my dental xray and the result showed the bones are no longer there in a couple of teeth. also i am experiencing leg tiredness of some sort which i think is weakening of my bones.

There are actually several possibilities for what could be causing your symptoms.

Pritor Plus contains Hydrochlorothiazide, which is a diuretic, it helps treat hypertension by removing fluids from the body, along with Telmisartan, which is an ARB.

That means that the first possibility is that your symptoms could just be due to side effects from taking it, it can cause nausea, drowsiness and dizziness.

The second possibility is just your body adjusting to the lower blood pressure, when you're used to running high, it is normal to feel such effects, when it's brought down.

The third, however, can be problematic and is why you should check with your doctor, it could be due to dehydration from the medication, especially if you aren't taking in enough fluids to replace what they Hydrochlorothiazide is removing.
