Prexum And Uric Aid Level

I am taking prexum 4mg for hypertension. I have just been diagnosed with gout. I would like to know if prexum increases uric acid levels.

Prexum contains the active ingredient Perindopril, which is an ACE inhibitor and yes, these medications have been known to raise uric acid levels and cause gout in some people that take them.
