Im an 18 year old Male, supposed to be a fun time being 18 and all….but boy has prednisolone stuffed up my last year or so. Maybe i just react worse to this drug than some people, but the way its hit me has to be lived to be believed. The irritable uncomfortable feeling (even when your trying to relax on the couch), the anger and mood swings that are constant, the weight gain and wanting to eat all the time, the insomnia which makes you feel even worse for lack of sleep, the gigantic swelling in the face to make a once normal face a horror show, the fever which is so often there, the acne all over my body, the lack of confidence I now have, the depressing way you now interact with the ones you love, and one of the worst things to go through, the looking back and remembering how go...

WE prescribe those "AT BEDTIME" not because we need to fill up space on our script blanks. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PRACTICE. My Prednisone Rx is not specific about the dosing instructions. It merely states take 3 tablets every day for allergic reaction (6 day supply). Do I take 1 tablet three times per day or do I take all 3 tablets at once. I asked the pharmacist at CVS and she claimed she had no idea how the doctor meant for me to take it and that I would need to contact the ER doctor who prescribed it. I was unable to reach the ER doctor and no one at the hospital has been able to answer the question . . . just like the pharmacist. I take four drugs to keep anxiety and pain under control from a car accident, the drugs tend to sedate me. Ever since, for ten years, I have had trouble concentrating. But I was given prednisone for a burn from radiation, a three-week tapering regime, and I suddenly got back my concentration and felt happier. I wonder, does anyone know if psychiatric doctors give prednisone to help a person's concentration and mood? I'm a generally healthy male of 58. Had heavy bronchitic asthma all my life. Till 30th year I regularly had tapered courses of prednisone. After that it went so well that I, except once in the few years, can life my life well with just spiriva and seretide. But then again I feel I live up to, say, 75 % of my optimum this way. Since a few months I add, on a weekly basis, one day 20 mg, next 10 mg, next 5 mg prednisone and I'm near the 100% that way. Would this use be considered a form of long time use, with the well known dangers of (creeping) side-effects (I don't notice any, actually) or as such a low dose/such a mild regiment that there's no harm to be expected? Ok so I pulled a shoulder muscle that gives me muscle spasms stiffing my neck and shoulders. My doctor prescribed me prednisone 20mg for 7 days and Voltaren gel. I was prescribed 20 mg of prednisone for my allergies. This is my first day with the pill because yesterday I got a steroid shot . But since yesterday I can't sleep and my stomach hurts. I need to take this because I can't take any antihistamine because I'm going to be tested for allergy. But I feel table ! I feel my right hand week and pressure in my chest. I was cleaning my coffee pot with vinegar & water and it spilled out on my counter. My prednisone pills 10 milligrams were in a paper envelope. Most of them got wet and looks like they dissolved a little. But I took them out of the envelope to dry. Some of them fall apart when I pick them up. Is it still safe to take these. They were given to me for a cough from sinus and allergies. ## I have follow up test every six month for cancer n removal of right kidney. Because fifteen years ago I had reaction to iodine. That's very odd, in most cases, alcohol worsens the side effects, so someone would feel more drowsiness, dizziness and nauseous than usual. Basically each drink would affect them as if they'd had 2 and so on. Be very careful not to push it by drinking far too much, because you may still risk alcohol poisoning. Has anyone else experienced this effect? ## thanks for the reply yes i have read about this, people have said the drug does stop them feeling the alcohol effects. but like you said others drink 1 drink and it feels like 3 I'm only on 5mg's of pred now, and i still cannot feel the alcohol effects. its strange!

I have a bottle of westward 473 10mg can I take two pills to make it 20mg without a problem I have asthma and the 10 mg is not really helping a while ago I took 20mg and it really helped ## Hello, Ken!
