I took 40mg of prednisone for 5days without tampering after being on ER due to a feeling of pass out I had. Its been my third month now since stopping I'm still feeling dizzy, shortness of breath, chest pains, sweating at night, fatigued etc. How long will it last.

Hello, Cat! How are you?

Usually, tapering is only required if high doses are taken for over 21 days, even when taken longer, the withdrawal symptoms are only known to last about 3 to 4 weeks, according to the NIH. They are listed by the FDA as possibly including body aches, anxiety, loss of appetite, diarrhea, depression and dizziness.

Thus, since it's been a few months, your symptoms may not be due to stopping this medication. Have you consulted your doctor? You may be dealing with some other health issue that requires medical attention.
