Prednisone Anxiety Side Effects
UpdatedI have bad anxiety, and labyrinthitis, I was prescribed to Prednisone and Azthromycin. I took 2 10 mg tabs of Prednisone yesterday around 11 am, and I started freaking out last night and ALL DAY today. I called my doc and pharmacist and they told me don't take it again. It's been an all day anxiety attack. Sweating feet and hands, my mind playing tricks on me, constantly feeling as if I'm going to die, impending doom, dizziness (which also could be my lab), brain fog, just feeling like I'm going to shut down and die. Help please

Hello, Joshua! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the bad experience you've had.
The FDA classifies Prednisone as a steroid and it is well known to cause those types of side effects, in some people that take it, along with nausea, dizziness, insomnia, nervousness, acne and weight gain.
If it's that bad, it would be best for you to follow your doctor's advice and not taking any more of it.
Did they suggest an alternative medication?
Unfortunately, the only thing that will help now is time for it to be expelled from your body and for things to go back to normal, which may take a couple of days.
