I have been having what I believe is a great increase in the arthritis in my legs and feet. Could this be from the potassium? ## Hello, Mary! How are you? How many milligrams is 20 meq? ## Hi Julee, According to nih.gov, 1500 mg is equivalent to 20 mEq (when referring to Potassium Chloride ER Tablets). I'm not sure which, if any, other medications are also measured in milliequivalents, so if you could please post back with a specific brand name or generic drug in mind, it may be easier to determine if the above information still applies to you or not. I had a high normal level, my Nephrology she did not tell this.
