i have been prescribed tovok for knee joint pain for 3 months i would like to know how this will cure me

My Two ligaments got torn playing Tennis-Right Knee.XRay revealed also onset of Artheritis.Ortho Surgeon prescribed TOVOK One Tab Daily for Three Months to arrest further Artheritis.I want to know short term/Long Term after effects.ContainsGlucosamine Sulphate,Potassium Chloride,Methyl Sulphonyl methane & Diacerein.l

According to cancerreasearchUK.org, Side effects of Tovok (Afatinib) in trials have included:

- Diarrhea: the majority of people in afatinib trials experienced diarrhea; and for just under 1 in 5 people (20%) it was severe.
- Feeling sick or vomiting
- Skin changes - 8 out of 10 people (80%) had a rash, red, dry, itchy skin or acne. This was severe in 1 out of 10 people (10%) and they had to reduce the dose or stop treatment for a while.
- A sore mouth in 6 out of 10 people (60%)
- Nail changes in about 4 out of 10 people (40%)
- Poor appetite in 3 out of 10 people (30%)
- Nose bleeds in about 2 out of 10 people (20%)
