Hi Leroy,

Based on information I've read, "no common side effects have been reported with the proper use of Vitamin D. If you experience symptoms of high blood calcium levels (eg, constipation, decreased coordination or muscle tone, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, headache, loss of appetite, metallic taste in your mouth, muscle aches or stiffness, nausea, ringing in the ears, unusual tiredness or weakness, or vomiting)."

"AN ALLERGIC REACTION to this medicine is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist. This is not a complete list of all side effects that may occur."

NOTE: this information is based on Vitamin D in general, that is not specific to Pliva.
