Is there a difference in the potency of the generic oval orange 30mg and the generic round pink 30 mg?
Thank you for your post. It was very helpful. I'm scheduled for a Dr appointment this week and I don't want to be deceitful. I suffer from depression and chronic fatigue syndrome. I can sleep for several days straight for no reason (meaning I wasn't awake for nights on end). I'm very nervous to explain this to my Dr. I am in my 30's and the chronic fatigue is having a negative effect on my life. I'm not sure if I have ADD. Do you have any suggestions as far as discussing this with my Dr?
Ok this post is to hopefully help at least one person, so here it goes...
I'm 27 in new york, Been prescribed Adderall for 2 years, i've done TONS of research on this entire topic. and i have a ton of knowledge on this..Everyone's always like "these are better no these" i was one of them, so, generic adderall, each of them (cor-pharm, teva, auroB, mal, & sandoz) each of them have "fillers & binders) that is made into the generic adderall, and those fillers & binders are the main cause of effecting each person differently, everyone reacts differently to the fillers in the adderall, hence the review's are all over the place..simple as that, it's a fact. (for me) i refuse to get anything but the pink ones (cor-pharma) I've done my analysis & stuck with them, they give me most energy, focus, motivation. Accidentally got the footballs (teva) after (my analysis) and i paid big time for it, i took them and was yawning constantly, was tired, i felt with drawling honestly, Complaints to the FDA did nothing like always. So, folks, it's very important to analyze YOURSELF on each generic, looking up, "what's better" it so pointless cuz the fillers are different for everyone...
i get two 30 IR a day & my tolerance now is my problem, completely stopping for a few days, is THEE ONLY way to lower very high tolerance, (FYI) ritually i take 3,000mg of calcium carbonate (antacid) that absorbs acid in my stomach allowing more of the adderall to absorb into my system without the acid stealing it. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER FOLKS ! hope i helped just 1 person, GOD BLESS EVERYONE !
The ralphs on decoro and mcbean has the cor 136's. I got them last week...if you go and get them you'll get lucky and get all fresh ones. I'm thinking the 20 pills i got were partially fresh cuz she had to order them and the rest were from last year and are identical in appearance to the new ones, but omg thankfully i had xanax cuz i had taken my normal prescribed dose but i skip days for the 90mg. Point being is you are lucky you didn't get the 20 pills i have mixed in with the other new 40 (I shoulda never mixed them but f*** it, i have ocd...) hope this helps.
I think binders matter I took Actavis & a Probasc(?) generic and not only did they not work well for me I had horrible stomach problems intense indigestion and heartburn.
I have been prescribed 30 mg aderall for almost three years now and have been on this med for 6 years now. I have taken pink. Orange. And yellow. The yellow doesn't give me any affect what so ever. The orange ones my body metabolized very quickly and the pink ones I feel worked the best. I get my prescription from Shopko Pharmacy and they hold the pink ones for anyone that has been searching.
Fillers matter, huh? I assume binders and inactive ingredients and bioavailability also have much to do with your lack of success with Adderall?
Have you considered that it could be the types of food you eat. It could be your lack of physical activity. It could be not getting enough sleep. It could be that you continue to live a sedentary, uninformed life and expect a pill to do all the work for you.
When I started eating better, working out more, sleeping a full night...the sum of these things led to a lifestyle change. That and finding out through trial and error what dose of each Adderall manufacturer works best for me is how I learned to find success in taking Adderall. Period! End of story!
Those of us that talk of fillers and binders and nonsense like that either can't be bothered to change some basics habits in their lives or you are simply a complete *****. Try focusing more of your time and efforts on maintaining good nutrition, more physical activity and proper sleep. I've done it both ways. I was that guy chasing down this or that agency to file complaints and be heard. Nobody at Teva or any other manufacturer cares about you and your filler complaint.
Wake up all of you who are fighting big Pharma and the FDA. You will go mostly unheard and unreceived in your efforts to uncover the great mystery of which binders are they using this month. Control the things that are within your control.
Thats is wrong!!A consumer should always be provided with ingredients ! Blarney !
Been prescribed two 30mg adderall a day for two years..so...here are short facts from my experience...
PINKS are the best ones, most energy, more focus, more of a kick with some mild negative side effects.
TEVA - ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE, accidentally got once and suffered the whole month, made me tired, and felt like i was withdrawaling.
AUROBINDO - better than teva, nothing close to cor pharma, bunk to me.
SANDOZ - trash / mixed reviews about them, depends on batch & 20s or 30s, not worth the risk.
Whatever u do don't get teva footballs or ull regret that 100%. Don't let pharms tell u there all the same either. Binders and fillers affect each person differently. So try them all but try COR PHARMA FIRST! (IMO). I also take each dose with 2,000mg of calcium carbonate. (Antacid) increases effectiveness, not by a great degree but noticeably. Hope i helped someone.
The pink work better for me. The peach/orange do not work for me....I'm having a tough time staying awake as I type this...
I had taken from Aurobindo back in 2014. I was prescribed with 30mg 2x a day and went up to 3x day bacause I told my psychiatrist that I wasn't feeling the effect. I started off with 10mg twice a day but I don't remember who manufactured it because that was back in 2008. So, with Aurobindo in 2014 and 2015, I started abusing it because I wasn't feeling the medication kicking in, I wasn't concentrating, it was very difficult. Then I was prescribed with 30mg 3x a day. Still wasn't enough. One time that year, I received from Teva (I think it was orange but it was a football shaped tablet) and it worked great! I didn't feel the need to take more than what I'm supposed to be taking. See, in those years, I wasn't aware of manufacturers, I was just told that they are the same thing. Then I started getting Aurobindo again, and I told my CVS pharmacist that I wanted the other one that was shaped like a football, but she gave me an attitude and tried to convince me that they are the same. In 2016 to now, I started go to Ralph's pharmacy and Aloha Pharmacy because they carry Corepharma (the pink tablet that is round labeled COR 136 on the back). Corepharma works really well with me. Unfortunately, just recently I got Aurobindo...again (the light orange tablet that is round labeled U31 on the back). It doesn't work well with me. I don't get concentration, it's like if it has no effect on me, well besides headaches here and there, anxiety, insomnia, and I feel crappy. Luckily, I have a few from last month which are from Corepharma, and those were very effective for me. Always focused, motivated and I felt great. I'm still prescribed with 30mg 3x a day. As of today, I'm searching pharmacies to see which have Corepharma, because with Aurobindo..I'm not myself. I live in California, SoCal to be exact, if anyone knows of a pharmacy that carry Corepharma, please let me know :) oh, if a pharmacist say that it's the same adderall, same tablet, just a different color...that is false. I felt the difference. I learned today that I have tell my psychiatrist to write down "Corepharma only" so I don't get Aurobindo, ever again. I had to do my research on these generics, which I should of done that a long time ago.
Freds also has pink ones It never has failed me yet although for me the orange is prerrered
Kroger now gives round light orange ones, they always gave pink but yesterday I got a refill and they are rounder light orange
Now i have the complete opposite reaction. I live in phila and all pharmacies sell the cheap orange football 974. It makes me sick in the stomach etc.. What i dont get was this pill use to work then the co. who made them was sold to another company; I believe the name is Teva..and they decided to change the fillers.. Why? Because the fillers they use cost less. I think its wrong that these companies r able to play around with the fillers...fillers matter. Not everyone feels the same as you.
absolutely they will for the 2 this person is talking about
I live on the west coast, and almost all the pharmacies here carry the pink, only walgreens and walmart carry the orange but walmart is always out for some reason, anyway I can't take the pink I feel awful on them, I only take 20 mg. But there is something not good in the pink ones, all I can think about are the young kids that have to take this but don't know to tell their mom somethings wrong, they just have to take the med. Mom gives them. It can't be good for kids, what ever the fillers are that they put in the pink ones is bad stuff. Makes me sleep, less energy, headaches, tense, just over all feel bad. I tried to tell the pharmacist they need to look into it for the sake of young kids.
Hi there,
I'm in Metro Detroit. Crazy... Which does the Walgreens always have (orange oval or pink)?
Thank you!
I gotz some.o like the pink better.the the orange oval
I got a round pink pill with M I then a line across the middle of the pill then the number 3 what is it?
Kroger has the pink 20mg. Generic Adderall for anyone who is looking.
Yes, there is a huge difference! I live in TN and had been getting the pink ones and felt great! Then one month I got the orange ones and did not feel a thing. I asked my pharmacy about it and she said that is what the manufacturer sent them. Well that went on for about 6 months. This week I went and picked mine up and low and behold I got the good pink ones again. Doing my happy clap! Haha, back problems can't do the dance!
