What are the side effects of phentermine?

I've recently bought some from an online source. In the past they were light blue/white with blue specks. The one i've received today was oval, light blue and has lan 1317 on them? Anybody know if this is a different manufacturer?

I have recently started taking phen. again. I am also experiencing sores on my tongue and a swollen tongue, expecially hurts when I eat fruits or brush my teeth. I have looked at other boards, and sorry to see that this happens to lots of other people, even the toothpaste part. Seems like most people with these symptoms are experiencing a very dry mouth, not enough water.

it is phentermine 37.5mg. googled it.

I have taken phentermine twice before and had really goood results, but then i had my thyroid removed and gained the weight back regardless of diet and excerise so i am on it again since my thyroid levels are stable and am feeling great. my sister lost 55 lbs on it recently as well.

Sandy, it is normal to experience what you are. They call it cotton mouth. It does go away. Be patient. :)

l agree my husband has been taking phentermine he is a changed man he flies into rages not acting normal our 14 year old marrige is suffering he is like obsessd with workin out I dont know what.to do ):

Hello, I have been taking Phentermine for the past 2 months and have lost a astonishing amount of weight. Does taking this drug hurt my chances of the joining the Marines? It was prescribed to me but i dont know my doctore said no but does anyone have first hand knowledge or reliable knowledge about the subject?

I got used to it so, dr put me on phendimetrazine there times a day and it is better. No jitters. Lost more.

One of the "Serious" side effects is swollen tongue/allergic reaction. You should stop taking it immediately! It's not for everyone.

"COMMON side effects when using Phentermine:

Bad taste in mouth; changes in sex drive; constipation; diarrhea; difficulty sleeping; dizziness; dry mouth; exaggerated sense of well being; headache; impotence; nervousness; overstimulation; restlessness; sleeplessness; upset stomach.

Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur when using Phentermine:

Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); bizarre behavior; chest pain; fainting; fast heartbeat; pounding in the chest; shortness of breath; swelling of the legs and feet; tremor."

I have been taking phentermine for just about 2 weeks and have lost nothing. My dr. Told me to take 1 pill and work up to 2 pills a day. I'm 5'9" 220 lbs. I think I'm drinking enough water. I'm watching my food intake as well as my carb in take. What am I doing wrong? Could my period being do have something to do with it?

do you have to go on it every year? Did you crave food after your 3months were over? I hope not.

its common to have food cravings once you are off that's why it is very important to establish a good diet and exercise program while your cravings are controlled

you may have a thyroid problem you should consult your doctor about being checked for a thyroid problem or a vitamin deficiency

I lost 50lbs on Adderall 20mg twice a day none of those side affects and it is not synthetic like phen , no dry mouth , no tongue issues , can be slightly moody at times but nothing I can't control once I was aware of it , stop the phen , it is synthetic garbage . You will have to convince your doctor you are adult attention deficit disorder . Not hard to do Wikipedia sites all you need right from DSM-4

I am not able to take Phenterimne, I had a reaction called Serotonin Syndrome. I reacted with my Cymbalta. I had lost about 10 pounds in 6 weeks. Does anyone know of anything I can take that won't react with my antidepressants? I have gained all of the weight back and am frustrated.

I am on day 11 of phentermin and I feel so gosh darn tired all the time. I am having headaches although I do stay adequately hydrated. I have lost my thirst though, I don't like the taste of water like I used to so I force myself to drink it. It's weird. I am also nauseated nearly all the time. I don't have an interest in food because nothing seems to appeal to me but I have huge cravings for sweets which I normally didn't eat prior to starting phentermin. I always have the feeling that I'm not quite satisfied with what I ate and feel like I want to eat something else but don't know what. I don't drink more than a few sips of my beverage with meals because I feel so full I end up vomiting. I dont know how much I've lost either since I have no energy to do anything let alone exercise. I sleep 7+ hours at night then find myself needing a nap by noon. I end up sleeping 12+hours on my days off. whats wrong with me? Will things get better?

My tongue burns and I only sleep about 6 hours a night some mornings I'm up at 4 am. It really curbs my appetite but I also only want sweets when I do get hungry.

This just happened to me!!! I had to look online to find if this was a side effect of phentermine, but it is not listed.. but I did find a few people that are complaining of the same thing on forums. I only feel the pain with food, not liquids.

I do know that it will show up as methamphetamine on lab work but as long as you have proof that it was prescribed by a physician then you should be fine.
