Phentermine Anyone Have Strange Side Effects? (Page 14) (Top voted first)

I just started taking this medicine for weight loss. I am having hot flashes and cold chills, terrible headache and a tingly head. I feel awful. Has anybody taken this and had the same reaction? If so did it pass after a few days? Gotta say this...I am not ever hungry! Like to hear from anyone that has taken this med. Thanks :)

i took itawhile back and dr said due to overactive thyroid and my taking levoxyl for that i could not take this phen fen drug it screwed u my heart rae and gave me the shakes

God yes I have hot flashing hungry most of the time but can't eat I had a small headache on day two but know im on day 5 and I haven't experience a headache since day to But I got to say this I take the at 5:45 when I get the kids ready for school and I still can't sleep at night I have to much engery

I've taken it before in the past with no issues and great results. The last time I took it was about 7 years ago. Fast forward, I've been on it for a month now and I only have one side effect IM FREEZING. I cant keep my feet and hands warm to save my life. I hate being cold, but I'm going to stick with it because I need to lose the weight. I hope this side effect lessons with time.

I was on 37.5 mg of phentermine tablets for a month did great. Last time I went to the doc wanted to try the capsule version of it. Well 2 weeks into taking capsule I started strange adverse affects like freezing feet so so tired and nauseous. Why is this can side effects come that late in maybe switching from the tablets to capsules don't agree with me ?

Hi, I've been taking it for about a month now. I still have the chills and it feels like my scalp is crawling but all of the other negative side effects have gone away. I don't even have the dry mouth anymore. It did shoot my BP up for about a week but it has gone back down. Hopefully your side effects will get better.

I just started taking this medication I literally feel like sh**. But it's when your coming down after about an hour. My doctor told me to only use it before going to the gym or to work out. But I've taken it to see how it will effect me and how I feel I don't know if I could work out do feeling like this. I've had nausea and been going #2 alot. Feel like tingles in my brain. I def don't eat on it. It's like food is gross. I'm thinkin of stopping it already.

Im in Australia, the highest dose with a MD is 40mg but an endocrinologist can prescribe higher and will monitor any side effects as well as manage these potentially with vitaminsvor other medications the first time around with my endocrinologist it took 2.5yrs to lose 15kg or 33lbs but in the most recent attempt where my head was actually properly in the game, my decision AND i actually followed a low calorie low carb eating plan I have lost 10.2kg or 22.5lbs in just 9weeks with 40mins of incidental walking excercise daily (in otherwords just normal pace walking to/frim the bus/work/home etc) I am being monitored by an endocrinologist and dietician NOT a general practitioner... there is a big difference in how you will respond to the drug when you are properly monitored AND motivated in the right way or in the right frame of mind... as the saying goes 'if you always do what you've always done, you will always get what you've always got' the pill isnt a miracle worker... its a hand up... if you dont also change your eating habits, exercise habits as well as portion sizes you cant expect to get the high end results you are after

By any chance do you have PCOS? I was like this the first time I took Phentermine. If you do this will pass after the first month. If you stop a month then take it you should feel the energy. At least that is how it worked for me.

I took the Qysmia which is the Phen/Top mix. It didn't work at ALL. I prefer the 37.5 tab. Not the capsules

Hi, Wow Thank you for sharing the information. I am experiencing the same bad habit like yours. It is involuntary and makes me sore my tongue. What can be the solution?? I am taking 37.5 daily for about 6 months. Yesterday I cut in half. So I am taking half daily. Is there another solution and for how long will be on?? Thank you.

I have been in Phentermine now for what will now be a my final cycle of a years worth of "3 month on/ 1 month off" (2016:Sept,Oct.,Nov. - 2017:Jan.,Feb.,Mar. -May,June,July - Sept.,Oct.,Nov). As of my last weigh in 8/27/17, I had lost over 50lbs, with my only setback being an 8lb gain between my 7/17 and 8/17 visit (to much vacation). Side effects stopped after 1st cycle. No real issues other than I find that capsules seem to stimulate more than tablets, making the need to watch caffeine and other potential interactions more important. Need to be careful if you take any Seratonin enhancing medication, prescribed or OTC. I read it is because less of the drug his "lost" during absorption with a capsule. It can cause you to get a mild "syndromic" effect. I take 37.5mg
