Phentermine Anyone Have Strange Side Effects? (Page 13) (Top voted first)

I just started taking this medicine for weight loss. I am having hot flashes and cold chills, terrible headache and a tingly head. I feel awful. Has anybody taken this and had the same reaction? If so did it pass after a few days? Gotta say this...I am not ever hungry! Like to hear from anyone that has taken this med. Thanks :)

Well at first they were really good, first few months it was falling off me, had no appetite but now I'm hungry all the time and can eat like a horse! I was 10st 8 when I started and now I'm stuck at 9st 3 or 4, it's taken 7 months.I know the lighter u are the harder it is to lose but I'm getting fed up now. I used to take them years ago and they gave me water tablets but they don't give them now, I always thought they helped but ones you can buy don't seem to do anything!

Read thr interactions list, which is very long! No alcohol consumption, acetaminophen, cold meds and many other drugs are highly interactive

I have been on phentermine for 4 days and I have been having a headache all four days but I will not take them nomore I don't feel hungry its seems I'm not getting sleep....and its only 15mg I just don't no what's going on any help on how to get rid of the headache...and I drink plenty of water

I'm taking phendimetrazine 105mg... Under my eyes are very sensitive. Wake up with bags n swollen... Anybody else had this?

Ok, this is concerning to me. Phentermine is noting more than an amphetamine, which has obvious side effects. The fact that I continually read that people are on legal speed for years makes me wonder if it is worth it. I just started it a week ago and have had to cut back to using the 15mg every other day due to the joint pain, increased heart rate, burning eyes and off feeling in my throat. I wish I could control my eating so I didn't have to rely on a drug to do it. This doesn't give us leeway to just eat liekc rap for years and use it as a way to feel good.

My headache went away on day 5. Now I have nausea and diarrhea. If things don't change by Friday I'm done.

I had the same side effect. I went off if it for several months and when I went back on it I started sucking on my tongue again.

I am an RN who has put on too much weight post menopause...tried everything finally gave in to Dr suggestion to lose weight Phentermine 30 mg a day. Massive nightmares, headaches,palpitations and no weight loss.. not one kg in two weeks. I stopped it and Dr said to go back on it even though I said I was having major side effects!
After stopping meds...have had three months of facial sweating and no temperature..its actually only 35.5 C.

I had 30mg daily for two weeks .no wt loss and made me really hungry! .. Stopped it due to major side effects crazy nightmares ... Headaches major stabbing pains in head too.. Facial sweating ..Sleeping only four hours a night and no wt loss. Problems still going on over two months off it!! Mainly facial sweating cold sweats feel like flu hot in face but no temp. Dr thought I should go back on them!!!! I got him to reference to endocrinologist before in now thinking this only started the week I started phentermjne !!! But crazy over two months off them and still problems too with stabbing pain in head don't take it !!

I've been on phentermine for about 3 going on 4 months now and I've lost a little more than 10lbs, which is great. When I started I was taking 15mg and now I'm taking 30mg. The side effects are killing me (not literally). I get hot flashes every single day and they last hours. My face literally drips with sweat. It seems I also have developed a bit of cystic acne around my chin. My face is prone to acne but these are the worst and most embarrassing because they aren't easy to cover with makeup. I have absolutely no libido anymore (being 23 and trying to start a family) it's kind of a problem. And the insomnia is awful, I've literally gotten 3-4 hours of sleep in the last 3 days.

I have been on them for 6 weeks and down 10lbs. Even though its hard to do try to get in at least 1500 calories a day. I use a calorie counter and tracker. I notice on days my calorie count is lower, like 800 to 1000, I feel terrible. Sugar is a really big problem for me on phentermine. I literally feel like crawling out of my skin when I combine too much together. Hopefully you find your right combination.

Shortcakes i took my first pill yesterday morning a half hour after i ate and an half an hour later. i felt strange slight headace all day i cannot sleep im still awake well thats all for right now. I pray all is well with everyone.

That stuff should be way out of your system by now. Perhaps something else is going on? I've been on it over 6 months and have no issues except for the fact that if it's summer and I'm working outside and sweating, my scalp seems to sweat way more than it used to. I also experienced a huge upward flux in my libido. :) I'd like to keep that! lol
