why would percocet show up in my urine test if i am taking 30mg ms contin and 50mg ultram ## It is probably due to the quality, or lack thereof, of the test being used. Very few places are required to use the more expensive certified tests, so they generally use the test provided by whomever is the cheapest bidder. The problem with that is that when someone is taking one narcotic, these tests can often give false positives for others. Are there any other questions or comments?

Ok... I'm taking 6mg of suboxone everyday (prescribed, hate it, but oh well). This past Friday I ended up going out and I took two "blues"(at 10pm) (30's perc).... And then remembered I need to pass a urine tomorrow (Monday) ...... I haven't taken any perks for over a month. I've been trying to drink more water.... Drinking detox tea . How can I safely titrate off Percocet? ## Have you discussed it with your doctor? And how much have you been taking and how often? Since it does contain Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, it can cause withdrawal symptoms, if you stop abruptly, so it is usually a good idea to taper slowly to prevent the worst of them and, it may sometimes require some supportive therapy, because you may experience rebound pain, diarrhea, anxiety and trouble sleeping.

how effective is the pink pill 10 mg percoset ## Prescription pain medication effects every individual differently; and more or less in this situation because Oxycodone is a semi-synthetic opioid that is made chemically. That is just my theory anyway. There is really no way a doctor can know ahead of time how any medication can affect anyone. They can only assume that it will be effective based on medical records, current health, age, what the condition is, whether or not any other medications are being taken at the same time, etc. Any of these factors as well as others can affect how you respond to this drug.

Im very confused with my urine test at my pain managment doctor (been seeing for 4 years). Im on Percocets 4 times a day & oxycodone 20 mg (different than Endocet 10-325). Last month I had taking a couple hydrocodone..was at a soccer tournament..forgot my meds & my daughter had these so i took some, NOT knowing that was a "no no" & showed up "morphine" in my urine test...When i came in to get my refills & had to take my urine, morphine showed up again!! I had NOT taking anything but what my doctor has me on after being explained I'm NOT to take anything else..i DID NOT do that again!! I've been addicted to percs a little over a year now, they have never been prescribed to me. I don't have insurance and have had a lot of problems with my teeth, by the time I go in I'm usually in a lot of pain and due for an extraction. I have been prescribed vicodin quite a few times and occasionally bought it on the street til I could get treated. Last year I had a particularly bad abbess so my friend offered me a perc. Anyone know where I can find some info on the timescale of tolerance for Ocycocet / percocet? I know the effect diminishes over time (as I very much feel it) but would like to do some research and my beloved google is disappointing me. ## The reason you aren't finding it is because there isn't one. There is no way to establish a time frame for such things, because it is always going to differ from person to person. Everyone's body is different, meaning that any given medication may work longer for one person than for another. It will also vary depending on what is causing their pain and their own sensitivity to such pain. Where one injury may not really bother one person, another person may be in excruciating pain with it. There are just far too many individualizing factors ...

I have been taking percocet for over a year and it is prescribed by a doctor for the several major back surguries I have had. I am going back to work which requires a UA. Quitting cold turkey though is very painfull. If I were to sniff a 5/325 percocet rather than take orally would I be clear by monday. Up until two days ago I took 2 a day. yesterday i took one and today I havent taken any, but the pain is extreme. any help is appreciated ## No, sniffing it is not going to clear it out of your system any faster than swallowing it and can actually be quite dangerous. WHAT COLOR ARE PERCACETS ## The color of the pills largely depend on the dosage, and the manufacturers that makes the pills. I've seen Percocets that are white, pink, blue, yellow, and orange. It is important to know that the way a pill looks is entirely up to the whit and whim of the company making it. The color or shape of a pill can change overnight by the manufacturer and you wouldn't get a written notification telling you when or why it happened. If you want to narrow down your search, I think it is best to identify the pill(s) in question by looking up their imprint on the manufacturer's webpage, where you can find all the info you need on each pill they make. This is the name brand product. It contains 5mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, it is a narcotic analgesic.
