I've been on PAin killers now for around 10 yrs. I started out with loratad 10/500 and they worked pretty good then they stopped making those and couldn't get relief from none of the rest. Finally my Dr.changed me to Percocet 10/325s. Well at first they seem to work then the past few months I can't seem to get relief. He even gave me tramadol to take in between but nothing!! I'm not wanting to go back to PAin clinic ...been there done that..was off in left field for a while but managed to come off all they had me on and was scared of Dr.s for a lil while but the PAin for too much and went to Dr. Which sent me to neurologist in turn has helped me for a lil over 3 yrs now. I have chronic pancreatitis and have been on percocets for over 2 years. I was started on the 5/325 mg ones. My doc increased them to the 7.5/325 and now I am on the 10/325. I have never had burping as a side effect with any of them until now with the 10/325. It's not really bothersome and I am more curious than anything to know what the heck is in these ones that I taste scrambled eggs, or sulfur when I burp. I am curious to know if anyone else has experienced this? I am going to see if I can locate the manufacturer (it's a generic). That might give me an answer :) ## Hello! How are you? What are the markings on them? That would enable me to locate the name of the manufacturer and check the inactive ingredients for you. There's a chance that there is something sulfur based ...
I have Medicaid and they won't pay for percocette,I am in 3rd stage kidney failure and am on SOCIAL SECURITY I get 713 a month I can't afford them the cheapest I could find them was 147.00. A month at SAMs club if they ever have them. After paying rent ,phone electric and food I don't have anything left...they took away all my food stamps but 16 dollars....is there any company or place that can help me ## Hello, Ronnie! How are you? Currently there isn't, due to the fact that it is available as a generic, which is normally cheaper. However, on most pages of this site, towards the lower right, is a prescription drug discount card that may help. It is free to sign up for, you just click the link, enter your email address and print it. Alternatively, you could try asking yo...
Its peach colored with only an L on it. Should be a ten percocet but not sure, help! ## Hello, Rose! How are you? No, this is actually an over the counter product that contains 81mgs of Aspirin, it's the low dose that many use for blood thinning and heart health. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach irritation and increased risk of bleeding. Is there anything else I can help with?
I have had 2 sacral injections, and 6 facet injections with relief lasting 2-3wks with relief. I've had a spine specialist, pain management, and PCP, all 3 saying I had arthritis of the spine. I ended up going off on that pain managements PA, bc she was going to prescribe me percocets until I could have an MRI of my upper spine, and scheduled back in for more injections. I signed the papers saying I wouldn't abuse or sell or share, a and then asked me to pee in a cup. Well, I had marijuana in my system, and I was straight out and upfront about it to the nurse, and she told me to go ahead and pee. Next thing I know, she is back in the room saying they could no longer treat me bc of marijuana. I have it on my bad nights of pain, I insomnia, occasional migraines and nausea.... And ...
Updatedis generic 10/325 percucet just as strong as non generic ## Yes, if you were taking 10/325 non generics then the 10/325 generics are just as strong. Generally generics just use different non-active ingredients, and don't have the brand name. ## In response to what Kitty mentioned about generics and non generics being just as strong, this may be true when you compare 10/325 to 10/325, but in my experience certain inactive ingredients can hinder the bioavailability of the very active ingredients they are mixed with (i.e. not getting properly metabolized). This could theoretically result in one of the 10/325 tablets (usually tends to be the generic version) feeling more like a 7.5/325 or even a 5/325; which is what many patients have come on here complaining about in other related disc...
Need to Know color and shape ## Hello, Theresa! How are you? Watson actually lists this tablet as containing 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, so it is a generic for Lortab or Norco. It should be a yellow, oval tablet, though they are now removing the dyes from their products, so I think most that are currently available are white. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
I took a half of a sub yesterday morning and nothing till today when my bac started killing me, so I took percocet. Will it atleast work for the pain??? ## Hello, Kimmy! How are you? And no, it will not. The Naloxone in the Suboxone neutralizes other narcotics to prevent their abuse, while you're being treated with it. You should ask about what you can take for pain that will work. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I will be traveling to East Coast-Vermont in Sept. and will need to see a pain specialist for numerous spine issues, fibromyalgia, failed operations and a great deal. Can anyone recommend a method...
I am perscribed percocet 7.5 3x a day I take them everyday like I am supposed to never a day went by that I haven't taken them and i have taken 4 in a day insted of 3 but never any less since I've been on them I was on percocet 10 mg 3 x a day a couple months ago and never had a problem with my levels well I went for my appt. this month and they told me that the last couple months (since being on the 7.5 mg ) my levels are too low said they were about 100 this confuses me because as I said I have never missed a dose I depend on this medication to have any quality of life my question is what is my level supposed to be and are there any contributing factors that could cause my levels to come back this way I have been having kidney problems recently kidney stones to be precise I al...
I was on suboxon for 2 months. I just had a kidney stone surgery. I have been taking 7.5 percocet for 6 days. When can I go back to silicon?? ## Hello, Laurie! How are you? Just like when you first start taking it, you should wait until you are in full withdrawal, before restarting your Suboxone, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. Doing otherwise may throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
An oval Percocet 7.5... Want to know if it has aspiran in it ## Hello, Molly! How are you? What are the markings on the tablet? I'm sorry, but I can't provide you with an accurate answer, without this additional information. Can you please post back? Thanks! The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
If not how many 5 325 equal 15mg percocet?? Curious as dr said I could take that much but didn't specify. ## Hello, Linda! How are you? First, there is no 15mg Percocet, so I'm assuming your mean a 15mg Oxycodone tablet. The 5/325 stands for 5mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. Thus, it would take 3 of them to reach 15mgs of the Oxycodone, but factoring in the Acetaminophen, you may do well with just one or two. It's also very important not to take more than your doctor has prescribed, because it is very dangerous to exceed 3,000mgs of Acetaminophen in a day. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there a...
I have been on Percocet for over a year 10 325 I have to take a ua Thursday they are from my doc for me but they cant be in my system how do I get them out ? I really need this job please help ## If they are prescribed by your doctor than there should be no problem. Just explain why you are taking them if they ask. It doesn't mean you can't work...so they shouldn't have an issue with hiring you. ## they will no pass on this drug test even with them being in my bottle and with a fax from my doc . I need this job any help is sooo welcome ## I've been taking percocet 5 325 since Wednesday for first time please tell me what can i do to get a clean urine for Monday? ## How fast can I get Percocet out of my system if I took two on Tuesday and I have a test on friday?
I had a bad opiate addiction but been clean for over a year. I just had wisdom teeth out and hot infection so I was on percocets for about a week. I just took my last one. Am I going to go through withdrawals all over again or no since I was only on them for about a week? ## Hello, Danielle! How are you doing? No, there usually aren't any significant withdrawal effects from taking them for such a short period of time. As listed by the FDA, you may experience some nausea, dizziness and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?
My wife is prescribed (2) 10/325 percocet per day. She had a urine test and it came back negative for percocet. I am 100% sure she takes them as prescribed. Not sure why it was negative. The cutoff range was 100 ng/ml, whereas before the cutoff was only 50 ng/ml (when she was on 4x per day). She was completely kicked out of her pain clinic for this. I think either A) quest diagnostics screwed up or B) the cutoff level was too high for it to show up. The biggest problem is she has a pain pump that is now empty and no one to fill it. Im trying to figure out what her level would read at 10/325 twice a day at 105 lbs, 37 years old. ANY help would be appreciated. This is a nightmare.
Updatedwhite, oval pill. Its a watson 824, percocet. ## I wouldn't recommend crushing up any pill and injecting it. It is in pill form for an obvious reason, and if this drug can be injected, there should be a liquid form available. It would be much safer and wiser to consult your doctor about obtaining a liquid form before attempting any such method. There are obvious dangers to doing this on your own without supervision of a medical professional. ## im sick of people EVERYWHERE posting "oh you shouldnt inject it" that wasnt the question...the question is CAN you. this isn't place for moral lessons. damn ## The question was "can Percocet be INJECTED?" Why is there no talk of the topic? Editor's note: this thread has been locked because it violates our terms of use.
I've been taking percocet for over 5 years never had a drug problem and never got addicted. I've had endometriosis cysts on my ovaries and built up scar tissue for over 12 years. I had my son 6 months ago and my pain was even worse. So they gave me emtec (a type of t3 without caffeine) and percocet. They too on a pee test found morphine in my system. I swear on my life and sons I have never taken morphine, it makes me sick. How in hell did I get it in my system? Dr's red flagged me and called me a drug dealer.
UpdatedI was prescribed 30 percocet and was told to take 1 tablet every 4-6 hours as needed...how many days is that suppose to last if i am taking them every 5 hours for pain? ## Hello, Jona! How are you? How many days supply does your pharmacy list it as being? The issue here is that it's an 'as needed' prescription and not a strict dosing schedule, so apparently your doctor thinks you'll only need to take one occasionally, so they may expect it to last a few weeks, or as long as a month. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. When is your next appointment?
