Wife had prescription for Percocet which was substituted by CVS with a small white oblong pill with A 333 on one side and no identification and no "line" for breaking in two on the other side, but identified on bottle and circular as "10-325". After root canal, pill has been relatively ineffective only overriding pain for about an hour and caused nausea and vomiting when second pill taken 4 very long hours later. After a day of suffering, switched to hydrocodone 7.5-300 at 10am when ineffectiveness of 6am oxycodone 10-325 on second day had wife in tears again. Hello, I am in pain management due to severe neck pain and shoulder pain on the same side of my body. I have been prescribed MS Contin 30 mg. 2 x day. Ran out a few days early and I am fairly confident of a urine test Friday at my doctor appointment. Found oxycod/apap 5-325 to get me through to my appointment and (hopefully) a refill. Will the urine test be ok or will there be a problem? ## No, they don't contain the same narcotics, so they will not show up the same on a drug test. Ms Contin contains a time released formulation of Morphine, as the active ingredient. But, as you've noted, the other medication contains Oxycodone with Acetaminophen, it is a generic for Percocet. What manufacturer currently makes the best generic Percocet 10's? My pharmacy carries Mallinckrodt and I had a huge issue with their Norco years ago so I would like to ask if they'll order a different one for me but I don't know which would be good. Need excellent pain relief plus not that super tired feeling. No, this tablet is manufactured by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 500mgs of Methocarbamol. The FDA classifies this medication as a muscle relaxant and lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. I took 3 pills accidental because I read the label wrong. I'm so worried to even go to sleep ugh. Can anything happen to me? Can I still take my sleeping pills, muscle relaxers and my pain pill wish is percocet 20mg... please help! I've never been so worried.:-( ## You'll be fine. 60 MG is still a starting dose. Percocet contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen. Where do I need to go to be prescribed Percocet, vicodin, anything along the lines of that? I suffer from endometriosis severe, intense pain and swelling in my sacrum and coccyx which puts pressure on my sciatic nerve sending pain down my legs. I understand that 8 percocet a day is the maximum dosage. My problem is that it actually takes that much to keep my pain under control and allow me to live a functional life, yet any time I even hint to my Dr that 3 a day just isn't working well enough I get drug panels, accused of being an addict and so forth (my drug panels always come up clear as I don't abuse any drugs). My question is what are my options? Tried fentanyl, oxycontin, etc (all nightmares). Can't change Dr's as he has said he will put me in databases as an addict. I don't need to be told the dangers..I already know. I have chronic pain and am prescribed 10mg percocet 1 every 6 hours. But 2 months ago they stopped working for my pain. My doctor would not give me anything stronger SOOOOO I started taking them through other means and received relief quicker. I took two 10mg percocet last night at 2am. I have a Dr appointment tomorrow at 3pm where I know they will drug test me (they do anonymous testing on all, but on average it is every 3 months ..which it has been). Will my urine drug test be able to tell how these were taken??? Please NO preaching... I just need to know the answer to my question.

I heard oxy hcl was stronger than oxycodone acetaminophen but oxy does NOT work for me however oxy with acetaminophen works like a wonder drug on my second degree burn ## Hello, Julie! How are you? These are definitely weaker for me. They say binders could be the blame. I was taking a quarter of the first orange generics, those were weaker than the name brand, but the 54/325's r horrible. I've had to take a whole pill and that was not even 24 hours ago and I woke up in sweats and complete withdrawals. They suck. I'm going to make sure I go to Walgreens, not CVS! NOW, what am I supposed to do for 10 more days? I only have two and a quarter left. My Dr won't help. I may have to find opiates which is easier, my first relapse in three years cause these pills are not as strong. Great. ## I agree!!!! They are nothing they are claimed to be! My pain clinic closed and I have taken Vicodin HP on and off as well as Fioricet 40 mgs whenever I can get any. The Fioricet has been taken, lately, several times a day. How can I have a clean urine test? It will be a week or so before I have to test at a possible new clinic. ## If I were to suggest anything that may be of help to you, it would be to to clean out and detox your system with fresh fruits and vegetables; namely dark leafy greens and wheat grass shots. I would also focus your attention on staying hydrated (consistently pee clear) and exercising at least an hour a day to get your lymphatic system flowing. Your lymphatic system is what cleans out much of the rest of your body, so making sure it's in good health assures you a clean urine test in the shortest amount of time...

I have been using (snort)perc 30s for almost a year. Doing 6-10 a day (180-300mg). 6'1 210 pounds. I was prescribed percocet 5mg as a post surgery medication. It is labeled to take 1-2 every 4-6 hours as needed for pain, 60ct. How long should it last? ## Hmmm, I'll try doing the math two ways. First, I'll assume that you are taking the lowest possible dose, which is 1 every 6 hours. And then I'll run the numbers assuming you are taking the highest possible dose, which is 2 every 4 hours. Here we go: 1 tablet every 6 hours = 4 tablets per day. 60 tablets divided by 4 = 15 days. 2 tablets every 4 hours = 12 tablets per day. 60 tabs / 12 = 5 days. So your answer is between 5 and 15 days depending on how high and how frequent your dose is. Can someone please check my math?? (LOL) Hope you have a quick recovery! Is your doctor or nurse recommending anything specific?

What gives? They jacked price to $999. I only use 2 a day for breakthrough pain but can't take generic. Then I read they were going to discontinue Percocet & their stocks aren't doing well. Maybe if they lowered their prices, more people could afford. I take Oxycontin 20mg every 8 for chronic bladder pain. I try to stay away from more than one Advil a day because I'm anemic & it makes me worse. I haven't increased Oxycontin in 2 years. I also have severe fibromyalgia.
