Will Ms Contin And Percocet 5-325 Show Up The Same On A Lab Urine Drug Test

Hello,
I am in pain management due to severe neck pain and shoulder pain on the same side of my body. I have been prescribed MS Contin 30 mg. 2 x day. Ran out a few days early and I am fairly confident of a urine test Friday at my doctor appointment. Found oxycod/apap 5-325 to get me through to my appointment and (hopefully) a refill. Will the urine test be ok or will there be a problem?

No, they don't contain the same narcotics, so they will not show up the same on a drug test.

Ms Contin contains a time released formulation of Morphine, as the active ingredient.

But, as you've noted, the other medication contains Oxycodone with Acetaminophen, it is a generic for Percocet.

I am on a number of drugs each month including percocet, Xanax. Citolopram, Amitriptline, And Atenolol. My doctor wants to give me a urine test I guess to see if I am taking my drugs. It has been a weird month and I will only be able to take the full does the last week. 'will the concentration tell the difference? I have been taking lower doses the rest of the month

I am taking ms contin 30 bid and norco 10/325 qid and anticipate a drug screen at md app on Friday if I take Tylenol 3 will it show on a drug screen?

it's 4.5 hr half life. divide 30mg by 2 until you get to below .01 => hint: it's 12x....then multiply thr 4.5 x 12 = 54hrs MAX that oxycodone metabolites will show up in your urine test. the cut-off is 2000 ng/l no less (raised from 200, 4yrs ago). That is a VERY High cut-off. RELAX and stay off the junk for 3 days and you'llbe fine

Lab test will be able to tell they are 2 different opiated bases and different chemical make up levels. both have a half live of 18-36 hours most lab and panel field tests NG cut off at the half life

Codeine synthesizes to its pure form as is passes through the kidneys it's pure form is morphine.

How did your results come out? I have a herniated disc in my neck. My dr prescribed me 5/325 percocet. They are doing absolutely nothing. So, I took a friend ms cotin 30mg while at work because the pain is unbearable. I want to call my dr and ask for something stronger. I'm nervous that the ms cotin is going to show up differently than the 5/325 percocet on the drug test. Any thoughts? Please, I'm in so much pain

It would takely a higly specialized sophisticated and expensive test to breakdown the metabolites of each opiate individually. You will most likely test positive for opiates only.
