what is the proper dosage for this medication? ## Penicillin is an antibiotic, used to treat many different types of infections. It is a white caplet, oval in shape, numbers on both sides, pvk 500 and on the flip side gg 950. There is a line in the middle that indicates the tablet can be broken in half. ## I believe the imprint which you are referring to is actually gg 950 on the other side, because there is a known pill with the imprint PVK500 / GG950 just like what you're describing. This pill is Penicillin V Potassium 500 mg, which is an antibiotic used to treat certain bacterial infections. I HAVE A REALLY BAS SORE THROAT AND MY EARS ARE HURTING, CAN I TAKE PENICILLIAN FOR IT ## Penicillin does help treat bacteria infections , like an ear infection.
