Hi Ellie,

Is it possible that the number "4" is actually a "1"?

I found what would appear to be an identical match, other than the number being "1" instead of "4":

"A large, orange, oval/oblong, bi-convex, scored tablet marked EC1 on one side and W on the other is a multi-vitamin."

There's not much more info than that in regards to supporting evidence, but this is the only thing that I can find based on your description.
