I think you're confusing Benzatoprine and benzodiazepine. Benzodiazepines are a class of medications that include drugs such as Valium, Xanax and Ativan, which are most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. However, Benzatropine is a drug in the anticholinergic class, it's actually used to treat Parkinson's Disease, Parkinsonism and dystonia. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Just to add to tony's message - the pill being described, white tablet with V on one side and 2326 on the other side is correctly assumed to be Benztropine 1mg, NDC code 0603-2434.

I took a very tiny round off white pill with the no. 84. on it. There were absolutely NO other markings at all on this pill. I was a mess and thought it was an old generic nerve pill. Too many things caused me to do the dumbest thing, which was taking that pill. I was so sick, I desperately was ready to go to the hospital. Everything was spinning, and I couldn't even stand up. I was extremely nauseous and having dry heaves. I'm still just barely able to sit up, stay awake and/or be normal. Thanks for any help! ## @Zina, I have yet to come across any specific details that fit your pill's description. Some come close, but nothing precise. My suggestion (if you're unable to get the pill's contents analyzed by a lab) would probably be to toss it. Please excuse me if I...
I was on the following medication: Syndopa, Premipex and Pacitane. I stopped for a year and a half, then restarted. What is the proper way to take these medications in conjunction with one another and how much of a time gap should be given before each dose?

I was told by a neurologist that Espiride can cause Parkinson's disease. Is this so? ## No, there is no way to definitively say that any medication can cause it. According to U.S. FDA and NIH reports, the exact causes are still unknown and research is ongoing. Some medications may aggravate the symptoms, but predominantly there is an underlying neurological issue that must be in place, in order for other environmental factors, such as lifestyle and medications, to cause it to erupt, or worsen. Most commonly, it is known to be diagnosed in people over 60 years old, but sometimes, it has shown up in people as young as 40. Is there anything else I can help with?
Stalevo side effects.i have Parkinson's and recently got a whole host of problems including off scale Dyskinesia and manic behaviour and rigid jaw and tensions in my neck ... these have together caused huge problems and my health has deteriorated. I wonder how to distinguish what is P Disease symptom from side effect or drug interaction. Many of the new problems started after a change from Madopar to Stalevo which went wrong... and proved to be an overdose. It was also done when I was taking rasagaline... Drug interaction rasagaline clonzapam, links to or causes of Serotonin syndrome.
Updated in StalevoI have been taking mirapex for about 6 years for restless legs - just within the past week I was given samples of mirapex er - so far I have not been able to sleep for the second night in a row - legs are very jumpy ## Is it the same dosage as the one you have already been on? The ER stands for Extended Release, this means that the amount of medication in the tablet is slowly released over a certain period of time, rather than all at once. This means, that if they are the same dosage, you might not be getting enough of the medication, at once, to control your symptoms. Have you reported this to your doctor, yet? ## Mirapex ER is not approved for treatment of RLS. I would recommend calling your Dr and getting back on the regular Mirapex ## I had to change from mirapex .50 mg to extended ...

Does anyone elses body jerk? Did you get put on Requip for anything els besides RLS? He says it's similar but my whole body has it. chest arms legs, face and I am wondering if this will go away? ## Jerking can be a symptom of such conditions, as well as a side effect of this medication, according to FDA reports, and yes, this medication is often used to treat other conditions as deemed appropriate by your doctor. It has a...

This generic mirapex has made me super nauseated each time I have taken it. I do not have this issue when I take Glenmarks 1.5 mg x4 tablets. The tablets that make me sick are dark pink, scored and have E 6 on one side. Has anyone else had this issue? ## I believe the tablet your talking about is actually considered brown by the manufacturer and the marking is actually 9 over 3. It is manufactured by Torrent Pharmaceuticals. There can be fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient from one generic to another, so this one could be a little stronger, which may be why it makes you sick. The inactive ingredients can also be completely different from one manufacturer to another, so there could be one of them that you're sensitive to. The FDA lists its typical side effects as poss...

I have severe RLS now, I have detoxed from Pramipexole (dopamine) over the past 5 weeks with support from my GP. The detox was horrific and the hardest thing I've ever had the go through in my 64 years. Now I'm taking 500mg Gabepentin and 1mg Tramadol. This combination has given me the first nights sleep in 5 weeks. I dont have pain so why do I require Tramadol? I'm scared to take the Tramadol away in case I lose my sleep pattern after going through hell and no sleep during the detox. I belong to RLS forums which give me wonderful support and I'd like some feedback about the two combination dugs that I'm on now. I'm very cautious and wary about getting too dependent on Tramadol. thank you. ## Hello, Katy! How are you? Only your doctor can give you the specific re...
My Neurologist gave me Amantadine for Fibfromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, he said this would give me energy, but I am sleeping 16 hours a day. Is this normal? Can I take an over the counter energy pill to help me give me the energy I need? How long can I expect to wait for the side effects subside and the energy I need to function in life? ## I am not aware of it being used for such, nor is it an approved use listed by the FDA. They actually list its typical side effects as possibly including dizziness, and drowsiness. Looking over the other listed side effects, such as mental depression, fainting, memory loss, stupor, anxiety... well, I really can't see how he expects it to give you energy. Everyone is different, so there is always the possibility it may cause the opposite ...
I have had Parkinsons for the last 6 years. I am using 2x Sinimet 25/100 and 1x Sinimet CR 3x per day and 1x Comtan 200mg per day. I started using Zolnoxs 10mg 1x at 20h00 to help with insomnia. The tremors is bad in my right side when the medication is worked out and I also get withdrawel simptoms in the evenings in my left foot and right hand when the last medication starts to work out. I started relising that the Zolnox dampen the withdrawel symptoms and tremors and that the stiffness in the left side of my body dissapears after an hour or two if I don't go to sleep. On Sunday I used 1x Zolnoxs at 7h00 and 1x at 13h00 and 1x at 20h00. The tremors stopped about 85% and stiffness was completely gone. The withdrawel symptoms was gone and on Monday I was able to cut medication by 1/3...
I have been extremely lightheaded taking sinemet 25/100 3 and 4 times daily. Can it be taken once daily? ## Hello, Judy! How are you feeling? Has there been any change? You should take it according to your doctor's prescribing instructions. Side effects are typically transient and tend to go away, once your body gets used to a medication, but that usually takes about 4 to 5 weeks of taking it at the same consistent dose, as reported by the NIH. Other side effects may include nausea, and headache.
Have had restless legs and arms for years. Take 2 mg of require daily but it's not enough. Tried 600 mg of gabapentin a day that didn't work. Now trying carbidopa-levodopa with the requip. Anybody else get this to work? Also have severe sleep apnea with clap and anemia. ## Requip not require ## Hello, Ritz! How is the new combination working for you? You may experience some common side effects, such as nausea, hypotension, hair loss and auditory hallucinations. ## Have you looked into Iron deficiency? I just started 300 mg gabapentin to see if my periodic limb movement disorder will improve. Just 2 nights in and have had some anxiety open waking. Have you found any relief? I know Iron is a big connection to restless legs but not sure about the testing you need for it. I think yo...
Small round pale yellow pill with 84 imprinted on one side and no markings on the other.
