Pantocid Sr 40 Drug Safety

I've been taking Pantocid SR 40 for my gas problem and acidity. Just want to know whether it is safe to use this medication for a longer period of time?

How long have you been taking it?

Pantocid SR contains Pantoprazole in a time released formulation, it is a proton pump inhibitor that helps reduce the amount of acid produced by your stomach.

And it should only be taken for the period of time your doctor has recommended, usually a maximum of 4 months, because taking them for too long of a time period has been shown to increase the risk of hip fractures.
