Hi, A few months ago I got out of bed and had severe pain down my right leg. The doctor diagnosed it as sciatica prescribed me two 5/500 vicodin ever 6hours and 8 Weeks of physical therapy. The meds had no effect at all. When I went back I told the doc they were not helping so he upped it to 10/325 norco 6x a day. At first they only helped a little bit, he told me to take it 4x a day and my pain got "under control." I went back and saw a different doc at the same practice because my normal one was booked solid. The new doc took one look at my chart and told me that my Rx was too high, so she switched me to 10Mg oxycodone every 6 hours. For a few Weeks it helped as much as the norco but the pain got worse (I have a narrow spinal column, arthritis, and 4 herniated discs). I had a ...

I am afraid to discuss options for pain management with the hand surgeon I see this morning. I am so uncomfortable and have had oxycodone before but was curious if that is normal for severe nerve pain or if the have other options. Just want to be comfortable until surgery ## Oxycodone is commonly the preferred option for severe pain, because it is known to very effective and it can be used in some fairly high dosages. I never knew this could happen to me. here's my story. In 09 I got diagnosed with crohns disease, prior to that I was experiencing a flare up. I had gone to the er plenty of times for this but not once I never asked for something to help the pain. Figured they would just give it to me. I didn't care to ask. one time my bf went with me this time the pain was excruciating. Again I didn't ask for anything. He had asked if there is something to relieve the pain. The nurse said yes. She came with a 5 mg oxycodone. So I took it and it was a miracle I had thought then because shortly after I took it the pain was gone. I had top lung partial removal 2 1/2 weeks ago I am prescribed 2 trimodol and 2 paracetomol 4 times a day Problem is pain about 4/5 o.c in morning Doctor does not want to increas dosages Any ideas ??? To relieve night pain? ## Tramadol isn't really very potent and effective at treating severe pain. so im just curious ive heard about people smoking opana and oxy cottin (not the new ones ) has any one tried smoking opana and if so what was your experience like? I havent tried it because of the cost. ## Tablets contain fillers and not all of them are meant to be broken down by the human body, they are normally just expelled in your waste. However, if you snort them, you are putting these substances directly into your sinuses and lungs, in a manner in which they cannot be processed out. My father recently took Pantop 40 for the treatment of gastritis along with Opidol (tramadol hydrochloride 50 mg) while he was having the red erythematous patches in his extremities. There were some of patches in the lower abdomen. All these persists along with some abdomen pain. ## Has the gastritis improved, at all? My fingers become numb while I am doing any laborious tasks and also at night while I am sleeping. I have been prescribed this drug for the last year. Could Ecospirin be responsible for my condition? ## Ecosprin AV contains Aspirin and Atorvastatin, it is used for its blood thinning properties and to help lower cholesterol. And yes, the Atorvastatin may cause these types of symptoms as side effects. How severe is it? I heard there is a newly formulated opana er, is this true? Do they make you sick like the newly formulated oxycontin? ## For some people, yes it does appear to be as problematic as the new Oxycontin. There have been very similar complaints that range from its not working as well as the old formulation, to its being said to cause odd side effects. Learn more Opana information here. However, what you have to remember is that the people posting on any given website are a very small percentage of the number taking any given medication. And the reason they were looking for the site to post, is because they were having a problem, the people that take it without a problem usually aren't posting. Even the ones provided by the Ethex Corporation are manufactured by Purdue and carry the same marking, they are just an authorized distributor. As to what pharmacies carry it, in any given area, since I am not in those areas, I don't know. feel weak and lathargic all the time. and in the the evenings i always get this uncontrolable, like a twitch. its like in jumping. cant sleep till it eases off ## Have you consulted a doctor? There are various conditions that can cause this, one of which is Restless Leg Syndrome and may require medications to properly treat. However, to get to the root of the problem and find a proper solution, will require your talking to your doctor. ## when im in the hospital and i get dilaudid by iv after a few days and a few doses i to get twitches and jumping of hands. this is weird. after i am home and off the iv form it goes away. i take the pills and i don't have this problem.

I have a long white oblong pill that broke in half and is blank on one side and all I cal make out is L and maybe a number or letter then 84, what could it be? ## Hi Amy, The white oblong pill could have the imprint "L484", which would identify it as Acetaminophen (500 mg). Do you happen to take any other sort of over-the-counter or prescription medication in conjunction with your therapy? I only ask because a lot of these standardized drug tests have a fairly high false-positive response, where it seems as though anything is likely to show up. To my knowledge, false positives are known to occur on them anywhere from 4 to 50% of the time. Have you asked your doctor about getting re-tested? ## Yes i take numerous medications oxycodone imm release tabs,moriphine.clindmiacin.abutral.lovenox the injection shots .and warfarin also.phentanol patches.

Is this amount of medicine dangerouss? ## Is taking a 10/200 Hydrocodone pill dangerous to my body ## The usual adult dosage for Vicodin (Hydrocodone + Acetaminophen) is one or two tablets every four to six hours as needed for pain. The total daily dosage should not exceed 8 tablets according to the dosing and administration guidelines for this medication. If you are taking more than you need, then the Acetaminophen can certainly cause damage to your liver over a period of time. That said, I would strongly suggest sticking to the dosing schedule that your doctor or pharmacist recommended for you. i also have RSD and i been on opanas 40mg and 20 mg twice a day these new ones just dont work they bind me up i had to go to the hospital and have stool removed from my ass not a plesant thing to have to go threw. i called endo and told them about it they said they have had some complaints i think everyone should call them and tell them your pills dont work and im not buying them anymore. it cost me 1200 bucks for those 2 scripts. thier number is 516 247 5701 westbury new york. I have a purple oval pill rph on one side and 30 on the other? what is this ## From what I can find, these tablets contain 30mgs of Morphine, which is a narcotic analgesic.
