I have been taking between 2 and 8 Lenadols every day for more than 5 years... how do I stop? ## HI, Mieke! How are you? One of the ingredients in these is Codeine, which is a narcotic opiate, so it can be addictive and habit forming. If you stop taking it abruptly, there's a very good chance that you will experience withdrawal and rebound effects, which could be dangerous. Learn more Codeine details here. These types of drugs usually have to be stopped via a very slow taper, when you've been taking high doses for a long period of time. Have you consulted your doctor? They should be able to help you with this.

I have recently begun using the Fentanyl patch for back pain control. About a week ago I noticed that my legs and feet have begun to hurt. Is this a Fentanyl side effect? Thank you! ## HI, Katherine! It shouldn't be, since it is a potent narcotic used to relieve pain, but some of them do cause some inflammation in some people that take them, which can lead to pain. Learn more Fentanyl details here. However, there is also a chance that it could be due to some other issue. Have you consulted your doctor about it?

my dr. just switched my vicodins from 5.500 pill#357 to 7.5-325 pill#366 did he up my strength or lower it ## The designation would be 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, so the narcotic has been raised and the augmenting ingredient lowered. Learn more Vicodin details here. There have been a lot of concerns raised about the problems that can occur due to the Acetaminophen. It is associated with both overdose toxicity and the possibility of liver damage, or failure that might occur from long-term use of high amounts. Thus, all of the dosages of Acetaminophen in these medications are being lowered to a maximum of 325mgs per dose. Some manufacturers have already begun to implement the change and the rest are expected to have it completed by January of 2014, so your doctor is...

I found a very small green round pill look like liquid in it. Could it possibly be a dilaudid? ## Hi Nett, Judging from your description, I get the sense that it may be an OTC pill or some sort of dietary supplement; possibly even an illicit or foreign drug. However, there's really no way it could be a legitimate Dilaudid pill, since all U.S. prescription drugs are required by law to have an imprint for verification of substance and dosage. Is there any marking or imprint on the pill that you may have overlooked?

i was given a pill and was told it is nicotanimde. it is white , blank on both sides , is about 1 cm in diameter . on the bottle it says i should take one half of the tablet a day . can someone verify that it is nicotanimide , because it does not look like the pills of nicotanimide i have seen ## There are no regulations in any country, that I'm aware of, that dictate how any product should look and, since it is an over the counter supplement, in most countries it also isn't require to have any markings to enable it's identification. That said, in light of those factors, I really have no way of verifying that it is Nicotinamide for you. Learn more Nicotinamide details here. Who gave it to you? Did waston quit making the green 10/650?this is what my pharmacist told me when I got my last script, gave me a flat white pill that does nothing to relieve my pain. ## HI, Flash! Sorry that you're so miserable, I do understand. There are actually two issues at play here…. The first is that Watson had some issues with customers being sensitive/allergic to the dyes in their products, so they have been changing them to remove the dyes and, while they claim that is the only change that's been made, many people are complaining that they are no longer effective at treating pain. The second issue is that due to concerns over overdose toxicity and the possibility of liver damage from long term use of high amounts, the FDA has requested that all manufacturers lower the amount of Ac...

No, there are no tablets listed with WATSON 357 on them, at all, neither among the Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen tablets, or any others. Where was it found? Can you please double check the imprint? ## There is a Watson with M 357 on one side and the other side is scored, it's a white oblong tablet. It is Hydrocodone 5mg/Acetaminophen 500mg. ## For being a moderator Verwon, you should know that M357 DOES exist. I've tried many Walgreens and their all out of Vicodin 7.5-750 are we experiencing a shortage? ## No, there isn't a general shortage, per se, but there are other factors that may be at play. The first is that there are limits on how much any pharmacy can order in and have in stock each month. Until recently, pharmacies weren't following such guidelines, but the DEA has started cracking down this year to make them abide by the regulations. And the second issue is that the FDA has requested that the Acetaminophen in all of these combination medications be lowered to a maximum of 325mgs per dose, due to the risk of toxicity that can be associated with overdose and the liver/damage or failure that can be caused from long-term use of high amounts.
