Just got these pills from my pharmacy after getting long white ones with the imprint m523 on it which by the way I love. But these new ones from alvogen are absolutely horrible!! I am still in a lot of pain and the feeling I get from them are next to nothing like the m523. I am wondering if the pharmacy will exchange them for me if they have my old ones in stock? Walgreens won't fill my percription of 180 , 8 mg hydromorphone without contacting doctor to get a code to fill is this true my doctors office was closed so I have to try again tomorrow ## I am also on 8mg of Hydromorphone and have my Rx's filled regularly at Walgreens. The max perscribbed dose of this medication is 4x/day which comes to a monthly script total of 120 tablets. My thoughts are that a special code is needed/required by law for your script due to the fact that your doctor is perscribbing more than the maximum allowed dosage for this medication. ## The maximum prescribed doses per day can actually be 6 doses, since it can be taken every 4 hours, if needed that often. As a way to end a long battle with neuropathic pain from chemotherapy that started with hydrocodone and ended with 100 mcg Duragesic Patch/48 hours, I wanted to get off the patches and so first brought down, slowly, to 50 mcg Duragesic/48 hours and then I wanted to move to a different drug - we switched to hydromorphone, beginning at 8 mg 6 x day for 4 days, then 4 mg a 11 x day for 7 days, then eventually to 4 mg 8 x a day = 32 mgs a day. I am not metabolizing this well and in a lot of pain and discomfort, and so we are switching to a drug I am unfamiliar with, called Lucynta. I am to take 100 mg 4 x a day, and in two weeks go down 1/2 pill every 2 weeks until I'm done. Has anyone used Lucynta for weaning? I started seeing a pm Dr after having major surgery on my shoulder 7 weeks ago. My surgeon listens to some gal in his office and had cut me from dilaudid down to hydrocodone leaving me in a lot of pain especially during 3x week therapy. The pm Dr put me on fentanyl patch 12 with nothing else. I had been taking 4-6 hydrocone 7.5 a day but now only have the patch. I have been feeling wds and the patch is not doing anything for pain and I cannot see pm for a month. I think I made a big mistake. I have a few expired patches that I found in my medicine cabinet that I guess were never used. Has any1 used a patch that is expired for around a year? I think it is kinda like any other opiates that just loose its potency after expires. Please let me know ig any1 else has tried an expired patch. ## Some medications turn to poison and can kill you if they are expired. but the most of them are just going to work less or not at all. I have been on 80 mgs of Percocet for a number of ailments for 9years and now because of some kind of law I only get 22,5 mgs a day. I am 62 years old, got hurt 24 years ago and I continued to work even thought I was in pain untio 2007, now I am on disability. have been able to control pain with Percocet. what I don't understand is the fact that I never asked for pain meds but they were prescribed almost 10 years ago and then they r reduced to 1/4 of the strength. ## They will provide you with FREE treatment options. I am to have back surgery and can't take oral pain meds. What will doctors give me that can be administered intravenously? I have a friend who is an RN that will administer it to me. Or I can take a suppository. What works for back pain that comes in either form? ## Has anyone been prescribed any other method of pain relief besides oral pain medication? Just bought Kirkland acetaminophen & methocarbamol combo bottle. However it now has a 094 on one side of the pill. It never had any imprint before. Is this a change or a mistake? ## Gary, I haven't been able to verify the 094 imprint on the tablet. Is this an over the counter product from the US? Hello. I have been on 25 mcg of fetanyl patch every 48 hours for 9 months and 15mgs of oxycodone 4 times daily for breakthrough pain. I am thinking about getting off of the patch. How much Opana or (Oxymorphone) would be the equivalent of 25mcg of the fentanyl patch? How much Opana or (Oxymorphone ER) would be the best dose to switch to with no withdrawals? ## Hello Gia! Today I was informed by my pain specialist in Knoxville Tn. I am being booted out. I have substantial medical proof of need for chronic pain. 5 yrs. of perfect urine , no missed appts. etc. A nurse practitioner pushed my buttons in the wrong manner. Told me I had 3 warnings for short medicine. Highest shortage was 7 pills. I've never asked for and early refill. 2 failed surgeries in my lower back , spinal cord damage in cervical as my arm is numb 70% of the time. found some large oblong white pills that were cut in half. They were in a pill box with tylenol and advil. These white ones had no marking except for a vertical line down the middle where they were cut in half. Any clues to what they may be? ## I'm sorry, but if there are no markings, it is going to be difficult to narrow down exactly what these tablets may contain. We can rule them out as being a U.S. prescription medication, since they are all required by law to have unique markings to enable their identification.
