It is 12:55 a.m. in U.S. I'm still awake. This is my second go round with quitting Tramadol. The first was back in May of 2014. I went to a detox facility for 5 days from a 15-20 a day habit. Had taken it for 7-8 yrs but 2012-2014 had slowly upped dosage. Was getting off internet last two yrs. 130$ twice a month or 3x a mnth. I couldn't take it anymore an had gotten sick with heart palpitations an skipped heart beat so went to ER an had to embarrassingly admitt to it. Two days later in detox. Came out ok. Was put on Zoloft two wks later. Then 2 1/2 mnghs later Zoloft was makin me to sick. Lost to much wt, liver enzymes went up to 50's. So had to stop. Then in Nov of 2014 found out I had started menopause couple months earlier. Had developed depression an anxiety. So had to s...

is Norco 10—325 mg stronger than vicodin 7.5-300 mg? My doctor changed my prescription to the Vicodin 7.5-300mg without telling me. Is he trying to get me off the Norco or what? I need my pain pills for my body aches, I have bone cancer on my spine, leg, and hip. ## Hi Sessy, Sorry to hear about your situation. My guess on the stronger medication would probably be the Norco 10/325. I tend to believe the 2.5mg difference in Hydrocodone can provide more pain relief than the 25mg difference in Acetaminophen; but that's just me and I'm not a regular user of the stuff. What are you thoughts on the Vicodin 7.5/300 after taking it? To be honest, I actually didn't know that they still made brand name Vicodin. It's been a while since anyone has mentioned it on here too, so ...

Ive been withdrawing from roxy for past 2 days. I have a very busy day today. If I take one perc 15 will I be starting my withdrawal process all over?y ## It really depends on how much oxycodone you take and how long you have taken it, and it also depends on your state mentally. It has been a few days since your post... How did it work out? ## Thanks for the reply. I had no problems. Was a bit "off" but wasn't sick. ## Same meds so id say yea..try jus a half tab..work off slowly.

How long will it take to get off of 150 mgs. Of oxy daily by useing 10mg. Methadone without withdrawal I've been on the oxy for almost a year any suggestions? ## Wish I could help you man. Never detoxed specifically with methadone, however I have had plenty experiences detoxing cold turkey in between scripts. If you want to go that route it will take 1-3 days and it will not be very pleasant. Best you can do is try to sleep through most of it. I have had to use suboxone to detox before and it was pretty much the same thing except the suboxone really helped me sleep a lot easier. Cold turkey normally I would still wake up, even if I took sleeping meds, in horrible pain and cold sweats. Good luck! ## Thanks I was also wondering if trazadone will kill your oxycodone buzz

Hello, I am currently dependent on Opana and every time I lower it I get very sick. My plan is to decrease daily and I'm not doing well with that. I am severely allergic to Suboxone so my approach would be a Methadone taper however I don't know how much? I plan to switch to Oxycontin tomorrow to see if I can at least to that. I'm scared and broke as well As humiliated. Any suggestions please ## Hi, Susie! Sorry about the problem that you're having. Reducing daily is actually a very bad idea. In order to avoid the severe withdrawal effects that make you so ill, it needs to be tapered very slowly. I understand that it is frustrating, but that's really the only way it will work…..both Methadone and Suboxone are tapered very, very slowly, sometimes over a period of...

Is it possible that I just ordered hydrocodone/acetaminophen illegally? I suffer with lower back problems and have been under chiropractic care, have gotten Xrays, and MRI and back injections. I just finished with my prescription for Lortab (a little early I'm afraid). I saw something at CVS about buying prescriptions online. I did a search and came to an online pharmacy website. The website I went to certainly looked legit. I am a fairly intelligent person, but is it possible that I just did the stupidest thing? It said that a prescription was not required and that it would be shipped from California and arrive tomorrow. What do I do now????? What's going to happen??? Any help is appreciated!!!!! ## What ended up happening? ## I'm curious as well, what ended up happening? D...

I have a toothache and was wondering if I could take two extra strength Tylenol and also take a percocet 5/325? ## Hello, Gayle! How are you? No, that would not be safe due to the excessive amount of Acetaminophen that you'd be ingesting. Each dose of it needs to stay at no more than 1,000mgs per dose and 3,000mgs for a 24 hour period, or you may risk liver failure or damage and/or a fatal overdose. The FDA classifies Percocet as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## You could take 1 extra strength tylenol. BUT Do Not Take another Percocet or Tylenol for at least 6 hours. You can take 650 mg tylenol every 4 hours or 1,0...

I was on 60mg of oxycontin 3x a day, and cuz of my insurance company had to switch to 15mg of extended release morphine.. I am very concerned about the pain or withdrawal symptoms. Anyone know if it's the same?? ## Oxycodone is actually one and a half times stronger than Morphine, so to be equivalent in pain relief, you'd need 90mgs of Morphine to match each 60mgs you were taking of Oxycontin. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. If you are taking 15mg doses, then yes, you may experience pain and some withdrawal symptoms, which may include nausea, diarrhea, fever and chills. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Wo...

can someone please let me know what this pill is it has 270 on one side and a half of moon on the other ## Hello, Jack! How are you? This tablet is manufactured by Actavis and they list it as containing 15mgs of Morphine in a time released formulation. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. is this drug related to morphine group of drugs? ## Hello, Stella! How are you? They are both opiate narcotics that are used to treat pain. Thus, they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

The little round pill sits on its side perfectly balanced. They are on both sides. The number 2120 is on the opposite side of where the beautiful V is located! Sorry first time they told me my message wasn't detailed enough. Thank you. ## LOL! No worries! How are you, Greg? Does the tablet also have a 3 on it? There's one manufactured by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals that is white, round and has 2120 V 3 and they list it as containing 30mgs of Codeine and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. Does that match your tablet? If not, can you please double check the imprint and post back? Thank you! The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

i have been taking vicodin for a long time and i have severe pain YOU ONLY BECOME AN ADDICT when you abuse meds,i try ice packs in between ,and it works great ## Hello, Linda! How are you? It's great that you are keeping your narcotic use under control! That's just awesome. And yes, you are correct. Addiction requires abuse, but regular use can result in your body getting used to something, so suddenly stopping could still result in some withdrawal effects, but nothing like the severe withdrawals one could experience from addiction. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. It has a National Drug Code of 0603 4998 21. What percocet is this? Pictures plz. ## Hello, Gata! How are you? According to the NDC database, that is the 5/325 dosage manufactured by the former Vintage Pharmaceuticals. I apologize that I don't have a picture to post for you. However, they describe it as being a pink, elliptical/oval pill with a stylized V on one side and the numbers 4825 on the other side. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. If you cut in half a new oxycontin OP no matter the doses (10, 20, 30, 40 etc.) does it retain the same time release quality? I am dropping down and want to know if 2.5 is just that, a time released 2.5? A drop from 3 mgs will help with my goal to get to zero, asap. I don't want a sudden flood of oxy hitting my system. This is about detoxing..... ## Hello, Gantlope! How are you? No, it still isn't safe to cut them, you may still get too much of the Oxycodone. If you wish to taper off, it would be best to ask your doctor about prescribing the non-time released tablets, which you can cut. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipati...

If you have a headache do you not seek aspirin? Ask the judgmental pharmacists and anti drug warriors this question. Say nothing else. Every once in a while ask again. There is no good answer except the universal law which governs and drives every life form with a nervous system- the avoidance of pain and pursuit of pleasure drives all life with a nervous system. Each individual has their own personal tolerance for pain. Just because my tooth isn't hurting doesn't mean you aren't feeling tooth pain. You are 100% on the right path- get those pills evaluated at a lab which does qualitative analysis. Get both the old yellow hydrocodone and new watson 853's analyzed. Do not submit both to the same lab at same time or it will be apparent what you are doing. Keep the results a...

Do you have to get epidural shots in order to get pain medication from pain management? ## Hello, Laurie! How are you? It depends on what that doctor(s) requires. Many want you to try all other options first, before resorting to prescribing potentially addictive medications. However, if you don't want the shots, you are free to discontinue your treatment there and see a different doctor. The FDA lists epidural side effects as possibly including discomfort, irritation, low blood pressure and dizziness. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Some pain management drs require it in order to get pain meds and some don't. Some pain managements dr won't prescribe pain meds and only do injections. It is up to each dr how they want to treat their patients.

Hi, I'm trying to find out if I can take over the counter Percogesic with my methadone or if there are any drug interactions? I don't want to put myself in withdrawals. It says it's a NSAID. ## Percogesic and Methadone can both cause sedation, so it would best not to take them together, unless your prescriber approves. The FDA warns that Methadone is an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
