Oxycodone Overuse

i have been taking vicodin for a long time and i have severe pain YOU ONLY BECOME AN ADDICT when you abuse meds,i try ice packs in between ,and it works great

Hello, Linda! How are you? It's great that you are keeping your narcotic use under control! That's just awesome.

And yes, you are correct. Addiction requires abuse, but regular use can result in your body getting used to something, so suddenly stopping could still result in some withdrawal effects, but nothing like the severe withdrawals one could experience from addiction.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
