And I live in a very small town in thevery middle of the US . I guess what I'm saying is they got here in new the Boones fast! ## Unfortunately fake pills are continuously being dispersed all across the country and the scary part is that they're pressed to look identical to their real counterparts; potentially containing anything from poisonous substances and illicit drugs to other harmful inactive ingredients. However if you fill your prescription at a licensed pharmacy you shouldn't have to worry about a thing. Personally, I just don't think risking one's life for such a temporary fix is worth it and I truly hope those who really need this medication consult with their doctor for a safe...
how effective is embeda and what pharmacy carries it in lafayette, louisiana ## Hello, Sue! How are you? Embeda contains Morphine coupled with Naltrexone, to prevent the abuse of opiates, while someone is taking it. Morphine, however, is a very effective analgesic. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I do not, however, have any information on which pharmacies carry it. Has it been prescribed for you? ## I take oxycodone 10 and now embeda will the naltrexone. I want to know if is going to make my pain meds not work for my pain anymore I also have severe hypothyroidism is it safe
THE 853 NORCO DOES NOT HELP MY PAIN AS WELL AS THE YELLOW TINTED ONES. PLUS THEY UPED THE PRICE DOUBLE. ## I used CVS for my prescriptions until last month, when I tried Walgreens to fill my script for Norco 10/325. When I saw they were white instead of yellow I thought I was given the 5/500 strength in error, since I knew those are white. I called Walgreens and was assured these Watson 853's were the exact same ingredients as the Norco 10/325. After taking my usual dosage, I was shocked to feel almost no relief....maybe 10% relief. After this happened, i went on the internet and read about others who had the same bad experience. Today when I got my new script I went back to Walgreens and told the pharmacy I wanted the other generic, NOT the Watson 853. They said that's the only...
I have a red unmarked capsule. Was told it's a 15mg hydrocodone. They said they had to be special made. Is this true? Is it a 15mg or could it be more? ## Hello, Rose! How are you? It is possible, but short of testing the contents of the capsule there is no way to be sure. A doctor can order a special formulation of any given prescription medication, which would then need to be made by a compounding pharmacy, but in general, they use plain white or clear, unmarked capsules. The FDA classifies Hydrocodone as a narcotic analgesic and lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there a compounding pharmacy in your area?
Will hydrocodone from 2006 be safe to take? I took some liquid hydrocodone that was from 2006. ## Hello, Crissy! How are you? It doesn't become dangerous, once expired, but liquid medications can turn sour and it may make you nauseous and cause vomiting. It would be best to dispose of the remainder and contact your doctor, if you still need this medication. The FDA classifies Hydrocodone as a narcotic, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nasuea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
My pain mgt MD gives me oxycodone IR 30mg but I cut in two and see if pain goes below 5 of 10 after 1 hr after first dose of half tab, if not I then take the other half. So far since my leg reconstruction surgery 7 weeks ago I have needed the full 30mg every time. Here is my question: Will I get a longer time of pain relief and thus a longer time period of my sense of well being when pain is gone by (1) taking the 30mg at single dose q 4 hrs or by (2)taking 15mg q 2 hrs, of course not taking the 2nd 15mg dose if pain<5? It seems to be cumulative but not in any consistent way that I can get a pattern tracked for optimal benefit? I was an RN for many years prior to CVA a few years ago, so am familiar with some of this but of course individual results vary. Thanks ## If your doctor app...
What color is oxycodone 30 on one side, and M on the other side ## This tablet is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, they list it as being round, blue and having an M in a box on one side, with the number 30 on the other. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
Differences In these two meds ## Hello, Shellie! How are you? Originally, the difference between these brands was the dosage, however, due to the changes which have been made to the amount of Acetaminophen they can use in them, that is no longer true. It is really best to just consider them all to be the same, they contain varying doses of Hydrocodone with 325mgs of Acetaminophen, though there are rare cases where the Acetaminophen may be lower. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
why does taking my hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5-325 TB before I go to sleep at night make me have less pain during the day? ## Apparently, it works very well for you, there's really no other explanation that can be given for this. Medications sometimes work better for some people than for others and it's usually matter of trial and error to find which one works best for you, without causing unwanted side effects. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it may carry the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. I have a new doctor my old doctor left and his partner took over.i have been taking Oxycodone for over 25 years for CRONIC cluster headaches. I was taking 12-13 a day with no brake through.he dropped me down the first new visit to 6 a day or 180 a month, he did a saline test and I have been taking them only when I needed them because I think he's going to dump on me and now days doctors don't give out pain meds so I'm trying to stock up. So my Question is since he did the saliva test I took 90 mg will it show I only have 90 in my system? ## I would tell him that with the drastic cut in the pills it was very hard for you to take them as prescribe. you just did not know what else to do but the pain was unbearable. and you certainly didn't want to do the wrong thing. Then I...
having back surgery, don't know if docter will check for oxy but I have no choice but to take a 40 M.G. once in a while, don't want to be dirty afraid he might cancel surgery. ## You need to tell your dr because it could cause problems with the anesthesia. ## BL is correct, this isn't something that you can keep hidden. Anytime you are going to be having anesthesia of any type, your doctor needs to know everything you're taking, even over the counter products. Anesthetics are very touchy and can have dangerous interactions with many medications. By not telling your doctor, you are risking your life, if they use the wrong one and it reacts badly with the Oxycodone. Learn more Oxycodone details here. Are there any other questions or comments? ## I haven't taken one sin...
I filled my Rx at a different pharmacy to save time and received this version of Percocet a333. It's terrible! The regular ones I receive (by a completely different manufacturer than this or Watson) work pretty well. My issue is just worsening so They just aren't effective. Then when I opened this bottle, noticed the texture was different. It was early morning and dark so I took my normal 1/2 so I can go back to sleep. Felt no relief like I normally feel enough to sleep comfortably. Had to double check to make sure I didn't put Tylenol in one of the bottles for travel. Took the other half. Feels as weak as Tylenol in regards to my level of relief (almost none). Took my next full dose at when enough time had passed. Still, very little relief. This isn't the first time this w

Just wondering if this is an RX or an OTC pill. The pill is not coated but doesn't seem to feel powder like either. Please advise... Thx! ## Hello, LK! How are you? I can't be completely certain from your description, but it sounds like you may have found an over the counter Aspirin tablet that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach irritation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## i found a pill that has the numbers 010|010 and on the other side it kind of looks like an arrow
I have been on 20mg of oxycontin and 10mg of oxycodone for pain and I had rotator cuff surgery 5 weeks ago. I thought I'd cut back on the meds and experienced the withdrawals. Now I'm not sure what to do? I need the pain meds for my physical therapy so going off them isn't possible although I think I'm tolerant and it hardly works for my pain after p.t. I'm seeing my pain management Dr. on Wednesday and I'm not sure what I should do? Ask for help cutting back, increase the dose but not 3 times daily? I just don't know? . ## Hello, Robin! How are you? I'd suggest just discussing the problem with your PM doctor and let them present ideas for solutions, such as a dosage increase or medication change. Doing it that way helps prevent them from viewing you as a...
I have been taking 30 mgs a day of percocet. how long do i have to go through withdrawals in order to take another percocet without withdrawing? ## Hello, Anthony! How are you? What are you actually taking? There is no Percocet on the market that contains 30mgs of anything. Percocet contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen and is now only available with 10mgs of the Oxycodone and 325mgs of the Acetaminophen. However, Oxycodone by itself is available in higher doses. And the real fact of relevance is that there is nothing in either that will cause you to go into withdrawal. ## I went to detox and have been clean for 18 days my back really hurts if i take a half of a 10/325 will i have w/d tomorrow I use to take up to 8 pills aday ## Not true, oxycodone will always have a withdrawal even if t...
I'm hoping someone understands what is going on with me. I have chronic pain from fibromyalgia. I've been on Percocet for a year. Approx. 2 1/2 hours after I take a pill, my pain starts to return. Am I building up a tolerance to the dosage I'm on or could this be withdrawal symptoms? I'm on 5/325mg 3X per day. How many hours after your last pill can you develop withdrawal symptoms? ## Hi Bubbles! If u have been taking it 4 a year, u can develop a tolerance. When I was on pain pills, I needed an increase in dosage a few times, throughout the years. R u taking more than prescribed, sometimes? Then your body would b use 2 the increase, and, would experience some withdrawals. ## You need to get off of it, its very dangerous to your liver and kidneys. Anything sooner than 4 h...

Is it ok to take 20 mg of oxy for breakthrough pain while on a daily regimen of tramadol? ## Have they both been prescribed for you? Doubling up on opiates can cause more sedation than usual, which could be too much for some people and may result in overdose, as reported by the FDA. These medications also carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects that may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
