I was wondering because I took an excedrin for my headache if I can also take two 2063 V pills containing 300mgs of acetaminophen + 30mgs of codeine phosphate? ## Both of these medications contain Acetaminophen, so there is a risk of overdose toxicity if you double up, according to FDA warnings. They state that you should not exceed 1,000mgs in an 8 period, and no more than 3,000mgs in any 24 hour period. Exceeding that risks overdose toxicity, which may include stomach ulceration, liver damage, liver failure, or death. Is there anything else I can help with?

Is it OK to take Oxa B and Aspirin together? The reason for the Aspirin is for thinning the blood after a stroke. The Oxa B is for severe hip pain. ## Has your doctor instructed you take the Oxa B with the Aspirin? Both of them can cause blood thinning, according to the NIH, which creates and increased risk of bleeding, other side effects may include stomach irritation, liver damage, or liver failure. Taking them together could be dangerous, given your medical condition.

I broke my ankle two weeks ago and the doctor started me on 40 - 80 mg a day then after a week I dropped down to 20-30mg a day. It has been almost a total of 2 weeks on this medication and when I wake in the morning I feel sick and sweaty until I take my meds. I'm wondering if a person can go through withdrawal on such a small dosage and if so how long will it take for this to stop ## That's not really a small dosage, even being down to 20 to 30mgs a day is still a pretty high dose and yes, one can experience withdrawal symptoms, whenever your dosage is lowered, or if you stop taking it, according to the NIH. Other withdrawal effects may include rebound pain, fever, chills, and diarrhea. You weren't taking it for too long, so they will most likely subside in a week, or so. I...

Given the protective qualities of the new Oxy OP, if you cut, say a 40mg tab in half, does it still release the drug slowly? I noticed there is no warning label on the bottle saying do not chew. In other words, given the new formulation, if cut in half does it still retain its slow release quality? ## Retaining their time release properties, even if someone tries to cut them in half, crush or chew them is exactly how they are supposed to work. However, it is still not recommended that you alter your dosage, without your doctor's approval. Oxycontin contains the very powerful narcotic Oxycodone. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Learn more: Are there any questions or comments? ## I have taken one 80mg oxycontin and 1/2 of an 80mg (I cut an ...

Here is a piece about a group trying to stop pain medicines from being made generic unless its the way they want it made. By StopOxy A national organization that fights prescription drug abuse is sounding the alarm about the possibility of pain pills without safety features being released to pharmacies across the nation. The nonprofit Center for Lawful Access and Abuse Deterrence (CLAAD) is urging the FDA to prevent the return of crushable versions of OxyContin and Opana. This Org is Raising the Alarm about Abusable Painkillers Under government pressure, the makers of these powerful opioid drugs reformulated their products to prevent abuse. The new versions of the drugs are resistant to crushing, making it impossible to smoke, snort or inject the drugs in order to circumvent their time-...

How often can you take morphine 30mg per day. How many hours apart ## 1x evry 8 hours ## wife had terminal cancer, prescription :morphine sulf ir 30mg tab tab, mfg:ethex corp. direction on script take 1 to 3 tablets every four to six hours as needed ## Morphine should be taken in the exact way your doctor prescribed it to you. Everyone is different, and each person reacts differently to dosage and mg amount. If you did not recieve your prescription from an MD, I would watch out for overdose symtoms. If you start feeling: Drowsiness, pupils change in size, feeling confused, cold and clammy skin, weakened pulse, difficulty breathing, or fainting I would stop taking it right away. I have both M360 and Watson 853 pills. I'm not exactly sure if the are the same of if one is stronger. ## The tablet marked M360 contains 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 750mgs of Acetaminophen and the tablet marked Watson 853 contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. These are both different strengths of the active ingredients in Vicodin, or Lortab, which are narcotic pain relievers. Side effects may include: nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Learn more: Is there anything else I can help you with? ## The 10/325 are way better on your body especially your liver and kidneys! the more acetaminophen you take doors off you are. if I remember correctly a maximum dose of acetaminophen in one day is 4000 milligrams. don't quote me but I'm pretty sure on that. so...

I have been on pain management for 10 years due to severe car wreck. I have taken all of the generic brands in the past and to me the yellow watsons r the best followed by qualitest with the mallins not worth taking. So last month i go to docs get scripts and go to walgreens to get my norcs, i get my pills and notice that they were white, So i take a couple and nothing, i take two more, nothing! So im stuck with them all month and everytime i took them nothing, Watson is now Activis or whatever, All i know is that they r not watson norcos, they might have the name and numbers but they r not the real deal. So this month i went to a different pharmacy that sells the qualitest yellow norcs with the v on them. They r waay better than the white watson/activis norcs. So from now on, i will get...

I'm just trying to get some information on test levels because I'm in a custody suit or if there is any way to dispute it ## 300 is the general cutoff level I believe, so not really that high. Was it urine, hair or blood? ng/ml or pg/ml? ## Hello I have gone threw a custody battle as well and been tested for 2 years people don't understand the cutoff level # determines if your positive if you test above them numbers ## She definitely uses but it is not that high. 500 would be an every day user or above. ## Dispute what? You can ask for a non mro test. It will not allow for prescription drugs to be passed. Will show up positive for everything. ## My ex was prescribed (50) 10mg hydrocodone in October 2016. And he is possible drug addiction. For custody purpose hair test was re...

What dose a lortab look like? I had some when I had surgery last year and I still have three left. Are they still good? ## What is the expiration date listed on the bottle? Typically, tablets are good for one year from the date they are dispensed to you by your pharmacy. They do not become dangerous once expired, but they can start to lose efficacy. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

I take 2 Percocet tablets every 6 hours. I got 30 prescribed to me. How many days should they last? ## Hello, Mana! How are you? What are the prescribing instructions on the label? Do they state that you are supposed to take one every 6 hours, or do they instruct you to take one every 6 hours, as needed? The answer will depend upon the precise details. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. If you are to take one every 6 hours regularly, then 30 tablets would only be a supply for 7 and a half days. However, if the directions instruct you to take them only as needed, then your doctor may expect them to last for a longer period of time.

i was using tramadol(37.5) but i asked my doc to' up it 'and then he prescribed 50 mg. i have tried this new tablet but i am getting terrible headaches.i usually have to take 4 tylenols before the headache goes away. i am also using leflunomide for pain also. should i break the new tramadol n try to get an average of more than 37.5? ## Headaches are a normal side effect of this medication, according to FDA reports, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, and constipation. Tramadol also carries the risk of being habit forming. Have you discussed this issue with your doctor? In this case, you really need to inform your doctor and have yourself checked out, that is a dangerous amount of Tylenol (Acetaminophen) to take at once. Taking more than 1,000mgs of it in any 8 ...

I have been on 5mg oxycodone for about 4 years. My doc switched me to the 10mg oxycodone tablet. I took one 10mg tab and NOTHING. It was as if I swallowed air. 4 hours later I took another one 10mg tab...Again NOTHING. I don't understand this. When I was on 5mg, I took 2 of them and it worked. I live in Indiana and the laws here are the 2nd most strict laws in the country. So he did this so he could give me the same amount. My medical history is this: I have severe fibromyalgia, RA, severe restless arm/leg syndrome, sjogrens syndrome, interstitial cystitis, sarcoidosis (it's been in remission for about 10 years but had done damage to my lungs, submandibular glands, and lymph nodes), meralgia paresthesia on my right thigh, occipitial neuralgia, hasimotto's syndrome, sciatica,...

How long does it take for op 20 to take effect? It's time released but 3 hrs later I felt nothing. What's wrong? ## Since it is time released, it is slowly released into your body over a 12 hour period to help achieve longer periods of better pain relief. What were you expecting to feel? Is it helping your pain, at all? The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

My 50-year old brother started taking dilaudid 14 months ago. At this point he takes about 48 mg daily. He originally started on it due to "mild" tennis elbow. I put the "mild" in quotation marks because I accompanied him to the radiologist and that is what they read out from the MRI. He has since claimed that both elbows are affected (very rare) and now he has pain in both hips. He has only had arthroscopic surgery - no major surgery requiring serious pain medication. Yet he continues to take dilaudid and even claims he still has serious, chronic pain. He has not worked in 14 months, he spends most of his time in bed and has stopped doing all he enjoys. When challenged, my brother claims I don't understand what it's like to have chronic pain. Yet I can't hel...

I've been taking 15mg of Percocet with Tylenol in them for a year. My dr just gave me a 20mg dose without the Tylenol, but it doesn't seem to be working as well. Why is that? ## The ONLY difference in the two pills is the Tylenol, and 1 of the pills (oxy 20) has 5 mgs more than the Percocet 15? I put the ? Because I NEVER heard of a Percocet 15; only 10, 20 and Percocet 30. Never the less, oxycodone is the narcotic in both pills, and oxycodone is oxycodone. IT'S THE SAME THING BABY! ## The Acetaminophen does enhance the action of the narcotic in some people that take it, so you might be one of those people who get better pain relief if it accompanies the opiate. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nau...

Is there a good pain management doctor in Olympia, WA that will prescribe pills? ## Hello, Earnest! How are you? There are plenty of great pain management specialists in WA, but I can't say whether or not they will prescribe you anything. It depends on your condition, health, medical history and etc. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly that could refer you to someone? If so, that might be the quickest and easiest way of finding the help you need. Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area? Due to the new regulations that were put in place, doctors have to be careful about prescribing such medications and usually prefer to do so only as a last resort, after other options have failed. ## An 85 yr old lady in the Perth area of WA has pain in the knee and is looking fo...

AM I GONNA BE OK IM MORE AFRAID OF OVER DOING IT .IM ALSO SUPPOSE TO BE ON 15 MG of roxy every 4 hrs as well but i haven't gotten them filled yet. My main question is am i takin to much 60 ms cotin with 50MCG OF FENTAYL?? I hope i could get some simple feedback on this.thank you. ## Whether or not such dosages are too much is entirely relative to the person taking them. It may be too much for some people, but not for others. If you are really concerned about overdose, you could speak to your doctor about starting small, then working up to taking more, if you need to do so.
