I am a hospice nurse. We administer clear liquid morphine to our patients and teach the family how to administer it. Many are having trouble seeing how much they are pulling up in the syringe. Is is appropriate to add a very tiny minuscule amount of blue food coloring so that the patients can see the liquid and be safe? Please help. Thanks ## Hello, Pamela! How are you? I'm not sure if it would be safe, since food colorings aren't made to be used in such a manner. There are some dyes that are, so you may want to look into ordering one of them and using it. You wouldn't need a lot, just enough to add a slight tint to make it easier to see. It makes me sick that so many are abusing the pain meds making it difficult for those of us that actually need them. I for one have had 2 Cervical, 10 Lumbar, a Right Reverse Shoulder Replacement and torn cartilage in my right knee.. even on the medications I am still in constant pain..We are treated like Junkies by many which they apparently have no idea what real round the clock pain is. It just irritates The he.. out of me as well as angers me. I know and you know that these doctors know who is in pain and who is not. Yet these that are not in need of them have less problems getting them then we that are in iscrutiong pain.. what's wrong with this picture?

I have been taking percocet 10-325 for the last few years for chronic pain. My pharmacy up and changed to another brand that does not help me at all. The ones I used to take were also generic but they helped so much more, they were the yellow ones. I tried talking to the pharmacist about this and he claimed there should be no difference. I have researched this and it does in fact make a difference. I'm hoping someone out there can please help me find a pharmacy near Ogden, UT that carries the yellow ones. It's been really hard dealing with this pain and even worse now that my pain meds have become worthless. ## Did you ever find anything out? Hi all I'm hoping someone can answer this. My husband has had a life long battle with stomach issues causing him to be in the bathroom constantly. He's been prescribed lortabs in the past for injuries and such and because it causes constipation his battle is nil to none! But of course if you don't have to be, you don't want to stay on a prescription like that. If I knew what the cause of the constipation was in them perhaps he could just take that and be able to have a normal life since the doctors don't seem to be able to find the cause of his bathroom issues. ## Hello, Heather! I am prescribed ms contin 60 mg bid and hydrocodone 5/325 for a long period of time all the my dr ordered a narcotics ua I tested positive for oxycodone and now my dr is trying to take all my medications from me, I would also be violating my probation causing me to go to jail. Please help me with any information that would help me. I only take the medications prescribed to me and I need my meds due to several back injuries. ## Well, since you do take Morphine, which is the active ingredient in the MS Contin and the Hydrocodone, in the Vicodin, it was likely caused by one, or both of them. Back surgery and recently 2 MORE bulged lower lumbar level discs in my back make pain meds almost a must. No pm doctor right now...been on Norco, methadone for 7 yrs., and past 6 months fentanyl powder. Violent vomiting and stomach ache, along with freezing sweats bc I'm withdrawing 1st day. I took (1) 8 mg suboxone at 4.30 pm...it's midnight now...will Fentanyl powder make me sick if I use it? It is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and can aggravate the condition. I need to find a family physician in Burlington County New Jersey that will prescribe oxycodone. Or will refer me to a pain doctor that will prescribe it. I have the MRI's and all the facts needed for the prescription. ## I have one in burl county who's mega incredibly nice. I left pain management to go to her and she's a family dr! No questions asked. Best dr on the planet plus she's hot lol. She's so caring. Also I got so lucky finding her by mistake. Been going to pain management 26 years!!! I am prescribed Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, Elavil, Relafen, Phenergan and take Midol, AZO and Dayquil. I recently got drug tested by my doctor. She said my urine showed Hydromorphone, Morphine and Suboxone but did not show my Hydrocodone and oxycodone. I know it has to be wrong because I did not take the medicine she said was in my urine. I have looked online for answers but am still unclear. It has to be a false positive. Could the medicines I'm taking cause it to show those drugs? ## Morphine, hydrocodone and oxycodone all show as the same drug of they did a urine and the same with the other meds. Even ambien can give false results

No marking whatsoever. Mailed from India.? ## If there are no markings on the tablet, it is impossible to say for certain what these actually are, unless you would pay to have them lab tested. Those are the hazards of ordering online from foreign pharmacies, without a prescription. Does anyone else have more information on these? ## Small orange tablet with 100 on one side an o-m on the other. ## The OM 100 tablet contains 100mgs of Tapentadol, this is an analgesic. I'm presricbed 30 mg opana three times a day. The problem I have is I ran out early on my pills do to being out of town. I decide to take a 30mg of roxicodone that I had from a earlier prescription before I got changed to opanas. I would like to know if I took a drug test would it show that I took roxicodone and opana or would they show up the same? I've looked online and I see there's different levels of test 5,6,9,12 panel test. I'm not sure which test they use but let's just say a 12 panel test. Recently filled a script for oxycodone 30mg. It has a m on one side and 30 on the other.The coating is so hard you can hardly break it in half. Looked up the pill and it appears to be a brighter blue that is thinner in the middle. It does not seem to be as effective in strength as either the A215 or a K9.
