Experiencing severe back pain have already went for MRI and have been prescribed with hydrocodone but doesn't seem to touch it. I have some oxycodone left over from July 2007, why I don't know but wondered if they would still be good, only have 8 of them???? ## This medication does not become dangerous, once expired, but it does lose effectiveness and may not work as well as it did, when fresh and new. I'm so aggravated because I just took a 30mg oxycodone. Not even less than five minutes after taking my pill I ate a few bites of pizza. I must've eaten the pizza too fast because I felt nauseous all of the sudden ( which is totally normal for me sometimes ) note: i'm not nauseous because of the pill. After taking my pill I immediately threw up a few bites of the pizza I had JUST EATEN! I did not notice the blue pill in my vomit. My question is how long does it take for the pill to start to disintegrate in your stomach? Did I lose the whole pill even if it was broken down and already started to disintegrate or would it have just gotten thrown up with the food? Hello my question is, is there a combination of two otc pain relievers that when taken together gives approximately the same relief from pain as that of a 500mg vicodan? I have been taking hydrocodone + acetaminophen 10/325 for several months (BEFORE and AFTER spinal surgery three months ago). I now am facing another surgery for a torn rotator cuff; so while my back pain was relieved by the surgery, I'm still on the pain med for a very painful arm and shoulder. I have developed contact dermatitis on my scalp and back and blame the med for causing this side effect. I need to try an alternative pain med. Suggestions? ## There are several others you can try, such as Oxycodone with Acetaminophen, or both of them by themselves without the Acetaminophen, you could also try Morphine, Dilaudid, or Opana. I have severe chronic pain in my back, hip, right buttock, thigh, knee, calf, foot. Much like Siatica but much worse as all nerves below injury site in mid to lower back are effected. I used to partake in marijuana regularly for years. I stopped on December 22, 2015. I have taken percocet off and on since then 30mg. My husband had taken 2 vicodin (unsure strength) on a late thursday night (1am ish) for pain, and needed a surprise drug test at 7:30am the following Thursday with his work. He had a script from physical therapy and a shoulder surgery, but unsure of if it was outdated because he tossed the bottle after those 2 left.
