They're so much bigger, I sure hope they do because right now I'm getting no relief from my er opana 20mg. One more question, I heard the generic er oxymorphone is better than er Opana, true or false? ## Hello, Tammy! How are you? Have you tried them, yet? There's really no way to say that any particular one is better than another, because we are all different, so what works for one person may not work for another. It's really a matter of finding which works for you to alleviate your pain. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may ...

Now am on 75mg. every 72 hrs. plus narco's as needed and get good pain relief from that plus twice...
Any of these drugs can make you itch depending on how used to them and how much you take. If you are young, do everything you can to stay away from these drugs, and if you're using them for recreation I beg you to stop. Now that I've said all that, some people need to have them. Even young people ... but they can be as dangerous as they are helpful if you are not very careful to come off them as soon as possible. I am 49 years old. I broke my back when I was 28 years old, and I started taking them. I've had surgeries and I've come off the pills for years at a time, but from the time of my first back surgery my spine developed little holes and massive calcium deposits (scar tissue) so that the bones became brittle and the nerves more and more impinged. After the third bac...

Very curious to know who has encountered these. ## Hello, Kelly! How are you? Yes, they are listed in the FDA databases as containing 15mgs of Oxycodone in a regular release formulation. This medication is classified as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Updated in OxycodoneHi, I moved from Utah to California just recently. I've been stable on Morphine and Roxicodone for the past 15 years, I have Spinabifida and have been to every supposed pain clinic down here that I keep getting referred to. Back home a pain clinic was a pain clinic. If anyone knows of a doctor that would help me, I'd be grateful. ## Hi cmrut33, I may not have a doctor I can refer you to, but I can provide you with a couple links that may be of service to you in so far as locating pain management doctors within your general area. All you have to do is input your city or zip code for narrowed results: {link removed because site no longer exists} You can give this other page a try too if you come up with different results for some reason or another: wellness.com/find/pain%20managem...
I had taken pethidine 100mg after 8th spinal operation. I am in a lot of pain and need relief, are they available over the counter? ## I'm sorry, but this site does not manufacture, prescribe, nor sell any medications, this is an information only website. Pethidine, also referred to as Demerol or Meperidine is a narcotic analgesic. Did you doctor not provide you with anything for pain relief? That is very unusual for having had such major surgery. Since this is a narcotic, it can cause side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Read more: ## I have failed back syndrome I have just had my 12th back op and feel worse than before the op. About 3 years ago I had a morphine pump installed that constantly doses the damaged nerves with morphine via a catheter to...
Had to do a saliva test at pain doc office...already on narcos, i took a quarter of a oxcontin 2 days before a saliva test which didn't get very wet due to dry mouth and I had a tiny amount of marijuana 2 days prior which i never do...will these show up in the saliva test? ## Saliva testing, can it tell the difference between hydrocodone and heroin? ## Yes it can. Heroin shows up as opiods. And hydrocone shows up as opiates AND THEY even have it broke down to tell if it is hydrocodone or oxycodone or heroin. I'm getting drug tested now and on my results I read it

I am in a foreign country. I ran out of my Zubsolv. I took my last dose yesterday, over 24 hours ago. Since then, I received a prescription for paracetamol / codeine. How long do I need to wait to take it before it is safe and will work? ## It usually takes about 3 days, before opiates will become effective for you, again, though it can vary from person to person. However, this medication will not match the potency of Zubsolv. Have you started taking it, yet? How are you feeling?
My Dr, has changed me from 1 to 2 Oxycodone 5/325 per dose 4 x's a day instead of 1 dose of Oxycodone 10/325 4 x's a day. Been taking Oxycodone 5/325 for year's and has not been giving the relief it use too. I have DDD and 4 vertebrae's fused in my lower back. Was wondering why, so I'm not having as much apap in my system, which taken only 4 times a day is still below 3000, but not much. Will it give me more relief this way instead of taking 1 10/325? ## It can really vary from person to person, so the only way to find out how it will work for you is by trying it. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. I took a total of 12 milligrams of subutex. Insufflating a quarter at a time. My last dose was 16 hours ago. Can i go ahead and take percocet? ## Hello, Kriket! How are you? You'll just be wasting the Percocet. The Buprenorphine in Subutex has a stronger hold on your opiate receptors than the Oxycodone would, though it has a weaker opiate effect, so it's basically going to cling there and prevent the Oxycodone from having any effect, until it fully processes out of your body. The FDA lists these medications as being narcotic analgesics, which carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I accidentally grabbed one of my premaid pill bottles I grabbed th...
I was in an an auto accident 2 yrs ago and both knees made impact with dash. At first not much pain but now pain is chronic because of loss of cartlidge.Should I be taking something to help rebuild the cartlidge? And as the pain goes after working all day it's so bad I dont sleep at night and have tried Alieve, Advil, etc. but it wont help. Any advice? ## Unfortunately nothing rebuilds cartilage that the regular person can afford. Stem cell therapy is being experimented with. I used hyaluronic acid shots in my knee for years before I got it replaced. It is awesome. Don't use cortisone shots. Cortisone shots tend to deteriorate the remainder of the joint space. Orthovisc is a series of 3 inj's. Expensive but what a relief!!! ## Hello Fisherguy I am in the same situation no ca...
I take Oxycodone 5 mg 3 times daily , any better ideas? Is this addictive or will it harm me more? I have PAD and angio 2 times. Ache so bad I never sleep. Been on current med 2 years. ## Oxycodone is a narcotic opiate, so yes, it does have the potential of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, constipation and dry mouth. There are risks associated with taking any medication, there's no way to avoid that. It's really a matter of finding which one works best for you, without causing you a lot of problems or side effects. What other treatment options have you tried? ## See a Neurologist and IF your dx is RLS ASK about MIRAPEX OR MIRAPEX ER. Get off the opiates asap,
I was given a five panel drug test at work on Monday. I took a 10 milligram Percocet on Sunday. It had been 24 hours since I took the Percocet. I drank four bottles of water right before the test. Please tell me if I passed? I'm worrying myself to death. ## Don't take drugs tour nit prescribed. People like that are the reason the rest of us with Real Pain have problems getting scripts filled. Do yourself a favor and stop now or see a proper docotr if you have a issue. ## Nope you fail. The least amount of time is 3 to 4 days ## i took 20 mg. oxycodone on sat at 2 pm will it show up 24 hours later in a urin test
I live in Portland Indiana. I just can't get a break with these doctors here. My old doctor was in Michigan but I could no longer make the trip up. Doctors here give things my doctor has tried for years only to have them fail for my pain. Norco was only thing that actually worked. I have been pain free till I moved to Indiana. Now I can't get pain management to fill norco, but they offer morphine which I refused, so they refused to see me. Can anyone help here? It's bad enough I have hard time getting out of bed. I just want to live life and function. ## I hope a doctor from Portland see's this. I'm sick of the bureaucrat. To get relief from pain. I'm no way an abuser of norco but all these other meds don't work at all. So any doctor reading this comment, I l...
Hi. I've been on lyrica for about a year. I started having zaps in my head, dizzy spells, blacking out, pressure in head, buzzing in my ear, memory loss, loss of balance and more. I've had many tests, ct, mri, eeg, 2x spinal taps. I thought I had ms and have been so scared not knowing what's wrong. In july I got into a bad accident and took out a telephone poll in my jetta. By the grace of god I survived with minor injury. It cut through the engine and stopped at my windshield. My symptoms have been getting worse. A few weeks ago I fell asleep, well passed out and my daughter couldn't wake me up, slapping me and I still didn't move. My balance and loss of memory is severe. My neuro dr has checked me for seizures although I found out it's actually a seizure medici...
