my doctor switched me to Oxycod/apap 5-325 from Hydroco/apap 5-325. My Dr. switched me from the pain patch 75's changing it every three days. To Embeda 50 mg once a day. Now I am about to die from withdrawal effects. I don't understand because they are both opiate meds why switching from one to the other should matter. Please help !!! ## Hello, Mark! How are you feeling? Did he have you just directly switch from one to the other, with no break in between? If so, that's likely what's created the problem. Does anyone have problems with the new Colorado "Recommendations" Laws that limits non-cancer patients to 120mg. per day? I have had 4 different doctors quit because it's become ridiculous for them in helping actual patients. I have been disabled since 1996 and have undergone 11 abdominal surgeries. I have never abused pain medication, nor filled one early. I understand trying to stop the illicit drug and Script abuse, but they are hurting myself and other legitimate patients. I wish there was a group who had the ability to bring a legal case against these policies, or something to help. I have been addicted to percocets for years, and i just got a job offer and im needing to take a saliva test. How many days should i put this off before i know ill be clean? i know its defferent for cronic users than a occasional user. I have prescription for oxycodone and I have been taking hydrocodone. I got drug tested and it was the kind they send to a lab to get results. I used to get oxycodone 5mg in a green and white capsule. It worked within 1/2 hour and the effects lasted for hours and were very pleasant. One day, when I needed a refill, Walmart was closed, so I went to Walgreens. The pill is different (a round, orange tablet) and had the suffix IMM REL in the title. Not only does the pill not have the same pleasant effect (it makes me nauseous and dizzy) but it takes almost two hours to work. What does IMM REL mean, and does this have anything to do with its effects? ## IMM REL stands for Immediate Release, meaning the medication is released very soon after you take it, as opposed to a regular tablet which can take over 20 minutes. I have been taking the generic version of Opana er and the short active but at one location. Well I have now lost my medical insurance so I have to pay cash. I can not afford that but was checking out some of these discount cards and they have listed some of the normal pharmacy like CVS, Walgreen etc., but none off them will carry it. How can I find help to get them without paying such a high price. ## You can actually call 211 and ask for information on prescription help. I an starting a new pain Dr. i have been without meds for over a month now. Yesterday (Sunday) about 10 pm my mom accidentally gave me a vicodin instead of the aspirin i asked for. I do my first drug screen tomorrow (Tuesday) will it show up? I'm 5"9 200lbs and diabetic. Need to know please,!! ## Yes, more than likely. But hydrocodone, like most opiates, is easily flushed out with water if u have some time. My advise Would be drink water till you are pissing clear, and 4-5 hours before your test take a few b complex vitamins with some creotine suppliment to avoid a diluted looking sample. Its basically pissing water made to pass for piss. This Works on most piss tests. ## I took a half of Percocet on Sunday at one. I have a test tomorrow at nine. Will I pass?

Little yellow tablet one side has the numbers 445 and the other side has ETH ## Taking 100 mcg Fentanyl for chronic pain with 15 mg oxycodone imm rel 3x for btp. I have somewhat better attitude but with low or no pain relief. 15 mg oxy just isn't enough for the btp. I'll see if Dr. will increase dosage. I've taken Hydrocodone 10/325 for years for chronic back pain. With it being moved to a class 2 from class 3 I cannot get my med. Filled. I ask my doctor to change/rewrite script For 7.5 hydrocodone,why does the 7.5 script seem stronger than the 10/325. Has the formulas changed. I was going to run out of my medication for ms contin and had a urine test so I stored it for days before the test but forgot to refrigerate it. Will the ms contin still show up at the right level or does it get weaker from being left out? ## I have two days before Dr appt I ran out of my oxys 5 MG so I went and put urine in plastic bottle with the oxy in it what will happen when it's tested and what do I need to do to store it? ## Unfortunately if you put the oxy directly in the urine you will most likely fail. They are testing for the metabolites of the medication after it has passed through your body. I think you would need to pee when you have the required amount of medication in your system and then immediately freeze it for later use.

I'm 55 and have chronic back and neck pain. I'm also worn out dealing with these state/gov doctors who feel they have to re-invent the wheel where my pain relief is concerned. I have had all MRI'S/diagnostics when I saw a pain management Doctor for over 12 years. However this was back when I was a real person w/ private insurance. Now I'm old broken and unemployed living at the states mercy. I have fibromyalgia. Has anyone ever taken tramadol when they were on gabapentin, zoloft, and lorazepam? ## Hi, Yellowrose. The only thing with the meds you listed is taking the tramadol with Zoloft as they both work on the serotonin receptors and they may cause a serotonin reaction....or toxicity. I can't remember the exact name for it.....my brain froze on that one.....look it up though. The side effects of this include confusion, anxiety and some other aspects of this combo in which you should visit your ER if any of the side effects appear....especially the confusion. They will need to stop your medications and give you other meds to combat the reaction. You would probably need to spend the night in the hospital for them to do this so you are safe.
