I am looking into changing pain management doctors. I've been on pain management over 8 yrs. My original one stopped doing pain mgmt last year & it took forever to find one to take my case. Now, i'm starting to question him & would like to know if anyone has any recommendations. I'm taking 40MG of OXYCODONE a day & 100MCG Fentanyl patch, plus Methocarbamol. Those are the "main" ones. Any help would be really appreciated! ## Pow dr dropped me over a U/A for alcohol. I'm so tired of the war over meds or medical marijuana. I just got rocked by my dr. Now I'm in search of a new dr who may help in Colorado Springs; even a cash dr till my referral from my primary care dr gets into the system.

I receive my care at a department of veterans affairs facility. I am prescribed oxycodone to cope with pain relating to degenerative disc disease, hereditary neuropathy with liability to pressure (HNPP), and complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). I provided a urine drug screen and it came back positive for norfentanyl. The night before I took diphenhydramine for allergies/sleep, which I do not normally take. I DID NOT take norfentanyl or fentanyl (fentanyl was NOT found in the sample). Fentanyl is not prescribed to me and I did not take it. I desperately need an explanation to this. Very underdosed, I am in disbelief there is not a recall. I have to take twice the amount to sustain comfort compared to mallincroft brand. These tiny little pills are white with 15 on one side. 4 years ago I finally gave in and starting taking pain medicine for my back. It turned out I have fibromyalgia, sciatica and stenosis. I was put on Vicoden, but after about a month, it did nothing. I though about going back to just bearing the pain, but my Doctor at the Pain Clinic wanted me to try Oxycodone. He started me on a low dose and now I am on 30 mgs. three times a day. Two years later after rarely taking it because I hardly took it because it make me fall asleep a lot and make me feel depressed. I read somewhere that it wouldn't make one tired if it was insufflated. Then I read not to insufflate the coated pills. So now I use 2 or 3 pills, scraping off the coating. I worked my way up to not feeling high. I have an extreme tolerance because I am on 8 psycotropic medications...

I was given Tylenol #5 after I broke my nose... Immediately afterwards they became Vicodin, etc.. My housemate is an old nurse and I'm tired of her always insisting that she knows everything!!! I need to know all the manufacturer's and colors and imprints of oxycodone/acetaminophen 10/325, because of problems with all the changes with the compounds that they are changing within these pain pills, as well as manufacturer's changing hands. OK I am not sure what to do. I have been complaining for months regarding hypersensitive skin on my abdomen. The Doc has been no help and has guessed several different things. Now there are visible lumps, one on the left and one on the right. I've done an Ultrasound which was inconclusive. I have a CT Scan scheduled, but wanted to ask if anyone has ever experienced anything like this? I have been on Morphine & Oxycodone for years relating to back and neck injuries. I had the stomach flu and have been on MS cotin 30mg 3x a day and Percocet 10/325mg as needed and my pain management decided to give me a saliva test. They were aware I was sick but did not advise me to put down I my test that I had not been able to keep anything down and had been sleeping 12hrs a time. I was very ill with the stomach flu. I also let them know I had not taken my drugs in 24hrs. My test came back as a false negative and they discharged me. I have terrible spinal stenosis and a failed back fusion and cannot be off of my meds. I need to a find a doctor in Seminole county florida that will write my prescriptions for Percocet, Xanax and soma... I had a falling out with the doctor I had been seeing for chronic pain for over 2 years and cant go back. I do not have insurance so will have to self pay. I am currently trying to get information on the new released generic Oxycontin 80 milligram tablets .I have heard that by the end of this month there will be a couple of new generic brand Oxycontin 80's made available at a reduced cost here in Ontario Canada .The current cost I have to pay for the dosage of Oxycontin 80 milligram tablets I am taking is $233.oo a week or $932.oo a month ( That though is for the Oxycodone which I found when we changed over from the Oxycontin's was a bit less effective in pain relief) So I for one will be happy to see when the generic brand Oxycontin's are released .If of course their strength is as good as the original Oxycontin's were . I took one, 5mg of Hydrocodone for severe back pain. I had one Sunday night for the first time in 8 years, (I hate narcotics, not worth it to live on daily meds!!) However I took that half of a 10mg pill. I have to see my Doctor at the end of the week (Friday, 12/13), and I cannot have it in my system for the urine test.
