I am looking for an online consultation that will provide me with a pain med prescription. I have a knee injury with an RI to prove it. ## Old post but I'll answer with todays laws, as I know them. Generally, Narcotics have to be filled AND refilled on a face to face visit. Go to a Dr and do everything above board. Also, it will be scored for breaking in half. You can take this to the bank. ## Keith is correct about the marking, however, that is only true if they are manufactured and/or approved in the U.S. If they have no imprint, they can be ruled out as being a legal U.S. prescription medication. However, the score mark is not actually required on them, or on any other tablets. Question: In a pain management clinic for siatica and other complications from L4 and L5 herniations in the back. I tend to take my meds (norco 10/325) a little too soon than they give me. last had one a week and a half ago but have a couple left over (3). If they choose to give me a urine test to make sure I'm taking them, will I have a problem reaching a threshold they desire? Would It show up enough in my system if I took 2 the night before and another 4 hrs before the test? I'm no junkie, legitimate pain for a decade but my body gets used to them and I run into problems by taking too many from the pain being do darn bad. Since MS Contin is now made by Rhodes, I have heard there is a new brand name ER Morphine. Is anyone familiar with this? ## The Morphine ER is not a new brand, that is actually the generic, it has been available for years. My physician recently prescribed 20mg of Oxymorphone 2X a day with 10mg Oxycodone for breakthrough pain up to 3 a day. My question is what is equivalent strength of the Oxymorphone to the Oxycodone? Dr. Made it seem like it's very strong, which initially was in first month but now 3 months later, not as much. I do have multiple pain issues, not just back pain. I have been to a neurologist and have tried every medicine he has prescribed. One he prescribed makes you feel high for 2 days so you can't sleep. That's no good! Another feels like your having a heart attack. There is a long list of others! The best results I have found are inj's. of nalbuphine/nubain. I can take the inj. and sleep for a couple of hours. Then I can participate with my family life. When I asked my neurologist about Nubain he said I would need to go to the the hospital, which is $1,200 a visit. My mother and I just moved to New Orleans. I cannot believe the difficulty this town is putting g her through, first, to even get in to see a doctor, and then, one that will write her a pain medicine prescription that lasts more than a week and/or a Pain Management doctor that will accept her as a client. She is now in a struggle with the brand new, shiny and huge(privately owned) hospital downtown. The doctor she finally got..she is on disability, under United Healthcare...gave her a small script, then a very short list of PM doctors, some of whom turn out to not accept that insurance, who told her that if she could not find one, to just contact him and he would give her another script. I took a half 10 mg of oxycodone two days ago and that's all. Then I took a swab test today. If contin has codone in it dont they both show up the same in a drug test? or can the test tell the difference? ## Yes, both are Oxycodone and will be detected as the same substance on a drug test. Where a problem usually arises is if the test is one done by a pain clinic, or treating doctor, that also checks the levels of the drug in the person's body. Seven years ago I was put on morphine 100mg twice a day and oxycodone 10-325 for breakthrough pain (up to 2 pills a day). Once I was put on that dosage, I felt normal, not ruled by pain like I had been for the past 7 years where I tried anything I could to just get the pain to a manageable level. I felt like I got my life back. My doctor suddenly retired and his practice was merged into a community health center. His pain patients were told they could stay on the pain medicine and they would be refereed to a pain specialist or they could try to wean off of it. Can you store urine that is positive for percocet for use in a drug screening? I need to test positive and stored urine that would test positive about three weeks ago. I am trying to find the OLD oxycontin SOME WHERE, ANYWHERE they worked, the new ones do not and have alot of side effects could any one give me the answer, can you buy them from Canada or where can I get them at. the doctor will not even raise the medicine for the break through pain.
