i am now taking morphine sulfate 30 mg er tabs, and oxycodone 30 mg ir tabs morphine1 tablet every 8 hours and 1 tablet of oxycodone every 8 hours.but when waking up in the morning i have these terrible bad headache. i almost have to vomit. is that to happen? thanks sharon ## Hi Sharon, To answer your first question, Oxycodone is said to be approximately 1.5x as potent on a milligram to milligram basis. So for each 30mg Oxycodone, you'd need 45mgs of Morphine. However because everyone reacts to these medications differently, it's almost like comparing apples and bananas here. Can I take tylenol extra strength 500mg and the anxiety tablet clonazepam 1mg together? Please reply. Does anyone experience itching of the throat when taking this medication. Just my throat itches, I do not have an itching sensation anywhere else. Nor do I have a rash or hives. I am prescribed 2 5/325 pills every 4-6 hours for pain caused by ovarian cysts. I have taken this medication in the past without any issues. Is it possible that I have developed an allergy to codeine? ## Have you consulted your doctor? It contains Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen, not Codeine. I am on ms contin. I was give a nucynta because I feel and was in a lot of pain. Will it show up differently on my drug test or will it be just an opioid. ## I need this question answered also. Preemployment test. Don't need them thinking I take 2 different meds because of recent change to Nucynta from Oct co done HCl.

There are some basic tests that just show the presence of opiates, however, there are others that can show the specific opiate that was taken. If the latter test is used, then they will be able to tell them apart and know you took Hydrocodone. My name is Chris. I moved back to southern Michigan, near the Ann Arbor-Detroit area. I was in pain mgmt. for 7 years being prescribed oxycodone 30mg and SR Opana in the state I moved from. Im on Medicaid here now. I really need someones help in finding a doctor that will give me some kind of continuity of care. I just had 3 surgeries, need one more for my C6-C7, have the worst head pain ever I guess from occipital neurology. I cant sleep, and when I can get to sleep pain wakes me up. Today is Monday and I have took some hydrocodone. I just found out i have a drug test Wednesday morning and I need to cleanse my system and only have oxycodone in it. My Dr has given me the option to switch from Opana ER 45mg to msCottin ER! How many MG of MSCottin ER will it take to equale the Opana ER 45mg?? ## Hello, Sharon! How are you? Opana is actually much stronger than Morphine, so you'd need 135mgs of the MS Contin to equal each 45mgs of the Opana. That's quite a lot to take. Is the Opana no longer working for you? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I took a half of a 5/500 hydrocodone Sunday night and half Monday morning. I took a drug screening this morning (thursday). Will they be able to detect it? I accidentally took a Hydrocodone because I didn't read the label of the bottle, and thought it was an over the counter pain reliever. I tested positive on a random drug test, is there any way to differentiate the levels in my urine from someone who is taking it regularly? ## A perscription botpas nothing like an over the counter bottle. ## Don't be a jerk. I have chronic lower bak pan and have for 20 years. MRI's show buldging discs,stenosis&Degenerative Disc Disease. Been on the same pain meds for 8 years now-MS Contin 30mg 2Xday and Vicodin 7.5/750mg 2-3 X day. Now, Primary Doctor suddeny is recommending weening me off ad has started the process aainst my will. I am moving back to Las Vegas from Utah (where they have about stripped me of all my meds) and I really need a doctor who will prescribe my meds. I am currently on Percocet 15, Morphine 45, and Soma. My amounts have been cut in half and I used to get morphine 60mg. My next visit they are cutting me off the soma. That is the only muscle relaxer that has ever worked for me. I have been prescribed Roxicodone for the last 5 years and the price has always stayed the same,now for the last 2 months everyone I know that gets them has complained that the price has doubled and that in January they are going to gel.Does anyone know the reason for this.I live in Tennessee,and is the gel true? ## This is just my opinion, but I believe one of a few possible reasons behind the significant price increase and change in formulation is somewhat due to the increasingly large number of people buying the drug just to abuse it.
