I have read that Norco and similar meds can raise blood pressure. I was wondering if it is the hydrocodone or the acetaminophen that causes your blood pressure to go up or if it could be the actual pain you are treating? ## In actuality, it could be any, or all. It really depends on the person, according to FDA reports, it would most commonly become elevated due to the pain. Most opiate medication, such as Norco are known to lower it, more often than they will cause it to become elevated. Is the person in question taking any other medications? Do they have any other diagnosed medical conditions? How high were the blood pressure readings?

I have a small, round, grey pill with PF on one side and 100 on the other. Could this be generic Morphine? ## This is a small round light blue pill that has PF on one side, and100 is on the other side ! What is this? ## This tablet is manufactured by Purdue Pharma and they list it as containing 100mgs of Morphine in a time released formulation, this is the name brand product sold under the trade name MS Contin. green pill with the number 30 on one side ## This is not morphine sulfate. ( It would have other numbers on it if it were. ) I think it is oxycodone, 15mg (Percocet 15mg. equivalent to 3 regular 5mg tablets). Are the small round tablets a MINT green? If so then they are definantly the schedule 2 narcotic oxycodone, immediate release. If they are a deep green with other numbers on them please let me know. They would be morphine. what is the length of duration, strength and usage of 30mg morhpine compared to 8mg Dilaudid? ## Everyone's body reacts differently to different types of opiates. For me, 30mgs of Morphine doesn't do much for my pain, buts does make me neauseus. On the other hand, 8mgs of Dilauded helps control my pain well for 3 to 6 hours. ## It can also depend on the specifics of each medication, are either of them time released or are they regular release? Keizer Permanente is huge and corporate and in every city. They throw them at you sometimes with little information. I had an injury and was ok n 165 mg oxycodone and 60 morphine 25 mg. Transfered to Keizer and walked out without a pain magreement and a huge bottle of 250 15 mg . oxycodone.for a copay b of 10 bucks. Every month another refill. Dr eventually left then got a cooler one then a strict one. Be careful. This is my first day on hysingla er. Came off of OxyContin which no longer worked for me. I take hydrocodone 10/325 three times a day along with the hysingla er 30mg but I am hurting a lot. I have been taking Hydrocodone 10/325 four times a day now for over 11 years. Actually, when I started it was Morphine 25mg Extended Tabs twice a day plus Hydrocodone 10/660 four times per day but I cut the Morphine out. Then as the law changed it dropped to 10/500 then to 10/325 and that's where I am now. I always take as prescribed but I want off the pills. I took my last pill 60 hours ago and am experiencing a lot of pain due to my chronic pain and I'm sure withdrawal is making it worse as well. I am prescribed tramadol every 4-6 hours, 1 tablet or as needed. I do take what I am asked plus an extra if needed because of my back pain. I'm currently on my last 3 and am prescribed 60. doc gave 10mg oxycodone ER but can only take 1 every 12 hours and its not working for pain!! wondering if u can take it sooner than the 12 hours? ## You may take one sooner, depending on your tolerance level... how long you've been taking the medication, etc. I wouldn't take it any sooner than 6hrs from your last pill. Time release pills often do not work as well as regular release pain medications I've found. Instead of taking another pill sooner, you might want to talk with your doctor and see if they will put you on a pain medication that isn't time release. ## You should not exceed your doctor's dosing instructions. I took this drug for 4 days only and stopped it because I started to have very bad side effects. My wife has really bad nausea. I would like to know if it is from the Dilaudid or Fentanyl or both. She is on 125 mcg/h Fentanyl per 72 hours and 4-8mg Dilaudid per day. Okay people if you want off these crazy addicting pills and you are being prescribed them by your doctor. Now ask him for a medication called SUBOXONE - I believe not all doctors can prescribe them but ask cause I'm not sure.
