Has your doctor been helping you? Withdrawal may also cause nausea, dizziness and diarrhea. ## I have...
I took Lyrica for about 8 weeks and felt horrible on it. I had pretty much every side effect you could think of. I began having pitting edema in my legs and extreme pain on the solesof my feet. I weaned off of it and now 6 plus weeks later I am still having swelling and foot pain. Has anyone else experienced this? ## Yes I have had the feet problem. I will be sound asleep and awake to what feels like someone stabbing the heals of my feet with an ice pick. I have never felt anything like this before. ## Some people do not do well on Lyrica, however, side effects do not last for that long after the medication has been discontinued. There are also not listed among the normal side effects and should be reported to your doctor, immediately. Common side effects include: nausea, drowsiness, di...
I live in Columbus, IN and I've been taking pain meds since 2001 and my pain doctor is trying to make me wear a pain pump and I have a pacemaker defibrillator and I don't want that. I have heard nothing but bad things about pain pumps. So I am looking for a new Dr... Can anybody help me please? ## I have been on every med available for pain since 1986. I had two passion pumps installed a year apart. 1 St was a morphine pump at max dosage. Didn't work for me. The 2nd was a cocktail pump w/ morph, muscle relaxant and anti-inflammatory meds. Doc removed it in 3 months due to it not achieving desired effect. They suck without something for breakthrough pain. Hope it helps u and good luck. Not recommended by me at all ## I understand there is a pain implant available that takes a...
If you're an amputee, among other things wrong with you, and had a dirty test years ago, but have been on a regimen of opiates that is worked a certain medication, is he going to keep you on that medication? And also, will he still see you due to having a discharge from 8 years ago for a bad UA? Also, can I use Insurance to pay for the medication even though I'm going to pay cash to see him? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Please n thank you in advance. Hes a pain Dr who practices on 118th st in Milwaukee, WI.
UpdatedI have been on Tramadol for about 2 months, have you heard of a metallic taste from taking this? I was taking Gabapentin and thought that it was that, but off over month a still have metallic taste? ## Hello, Frank! How are you? Yes, it can sometimes affect your sense of taste, as a side effect. The FDA warns that it may be habit forming and other side effects to Tramadol may include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. It's a very common thing with most medications, actually. It can also be worsened by the dry mouth, so you may find some relief by sucking on mints, or something, if your doctor approves, to help keep your mouth moist. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I take Tramadol and occasional flurazepam. Suddenly I have been getting a metallic ta...
Is it possible that an ibuprofen-prescription may be more effective if bought at Walgreens rather than from a small pharmacy that's family owned? ## It is possible, if they have been manufactured by different companies, since the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984 does allow them to differ from the name brand, in the amount of the active ingredient by as much as plus. or minus 20%. What are the markings on the tablet in question? If you can post back with this information, I am happy to research more information for you. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Ibuprofen as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach irritation, and increased risk of bleeding.
After 2 years of back pain and doctors not wanting to prescribe narcotics I looked elsewhere. I've ordered from a few places but first time ordering tylex cd from Mexico (white capsule, no markings) I've had explosive diarrehea for 2 days. Can't sleep. Don't know if it's due to recent surgery or is it the meds. Has anyone ordered tylex cd - white capsule from Mexico and had a good result? ## The codiene should do the opposite and constipate you. However, when taken correctly, Tylex-cd is a relatively mild opiate, so you could have diarrhea if you just switched from a stronger opiate pain killer. ## Very tru ....maybe an infection you have cuz tylex cd is quality.
i have been taking oxycodone due to a back injury and i was told that it is morphine based, so i was wondering if that was true? ## its in that family, opiates/pain reliever and highly addictive ## Yes, it is related, just like Lisa has stated. It carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. What dosage has been prescribed? Have you ever taken Morphine? Are you on any other medications?
I am in the process of moving from Virginia to the sewell New Jersey area. I have been dealing with pain management for the last 4 years. I have been on oxycodone hcl 10s the whole time. I am looking for a doctor near the area who will continue my treatment using the pills. I do not like injections. Any recommendations ## Unfortunately, there is really no way to know if any given doctor will prescribe any specific medication, especially a controlled substance. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area that might help?
I have been on pain meds for many years now they are saying u need pain management Dr to write the scripts and i can't find anyone in nj that takes medicaid if anyone can help please i have all my records i really am hurt please ## Contact The New Jersey Medicaid Program and ask for a list of Pain Management Doctors in your area that accept Medicaid and New Patients. The Medicaid Provider that has been writting your pain meds, should be able ot give you a referral. You may or may not need a referral to see a specialist. If you can't find one and your PCP or other drs won't continue to write your pain meds, you will have to pay out of pocket. ## How can I get my medical records from my only treating PM dr of 17 yrs who was closed by DEA? I can’t get a reply from dr ...
Doctor prescribed Tylenol #4 for shingles pain. Can Tylenol #4 be split in half? There is too much codeine in a whole one. It makes me light headed and nauseous. ## To the person asking about splitting Tylenol # 4 in half as it is making you feel nausea. My advice would be to make sure you're not talking it on an empty stomach, as with most pain medications they should be taken with food, however, always read and follow any prescriptions directions and understand their side effects. I would immediately stop taking the medication and consult your Doctor to insure your not taking any conflicting medications; or try a synthetic pain reliever such as Hydrocodone, as many people are allergic to Codeine. Personally however I think Codeine/tylenol # 3 and #4 are junk drugs that's uses ...
I have a bottle of hydrocodone/acetaminophen 7.5-325 15ml. I am use to taking a high dose of tablets at once because my body is so used to it. If i take the liquid, how much would I take for it to work? ## Hello, Lilly! How are you? You really can't keep taking such high amounts, at once, you're far exceeding the dosage limits for the Acetaminophen, which is only 1,000mgs maximum per dose. 6 tablets would be 1,950mgs per dose. It's also not safe to exceed 3,000mgs of Acetaminophen a day, due to the risk of liver damage, liver failure or fatal toxicity. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Thus, for your own safety, ...
wanting to get an eye opener on medication that contains opids i want to be a tech. ## Did you mean opioids, such as Oxycodone, and Morphine? The FDA lists them as carrying the risk of being habit forming, and they may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. There are quite a few, such as Codeine, Fentanyl, Hydrocodone, and Hydromorphone, and I know that's really not all. What type of tech are you wanting to become, a pharmacy tech?
White round tablet with an M on one side and a T7 on the other side ## I have a white oblong that's supposed to be Xanax. What should the markings be? ## A tablet with the marking M T7 is manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals, and they list it as containing 50mgs of Tramadol, which is an opioid that is used to relieve pain. NDC: 51079-991 Size: 8mm Inactive Ingredients -Silicon Dioxide -Croscarmellose Sodium -Triacetin -Hypromelloses -Magnesium Stearate -Mannitol -Cellulose, Microcrystalline -Polydextrose -Polyethylene Glycols -Sodium Lauryl Sulfate -Titanium Dioxide The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. PG, there are many different markings, since Xanax is also ava...
I seem to be having the same issue as some in this forum. I had been on another brand until this refill & well this Rhodes brand doesn't seem as effective. One of the main reasons I'm here, I thought it odd that I wasn't getting the same relief as the other brand. I'm going to contact my pharmacy and see if they can do anything, I may call my PM doctor as well to see if they have any suggestions. ## The last two months have been hard on me since Rite aid switched from really good working oxycodone 10/325 to this RHODES pharmacy GARBAGE and it’s not only that but all my meds aren’t working like they used to. I loved my old ones (oblong) Easily cut/snap in half. With this maker of these meds my eyes burn and water, nose constantly runs and I’m in so m...
Does this come in a extended release pill form? ## I would ask a pharmasist, or look it up on google, but I am pretty sure it only comes in patchs and lollipops Pat ## Good Morning I have been on fentany patches for about 2 years, and have recently had major reaction at site causing bliistering, scabbing, some bleeding, and feeling up and down regarding pain.I have spinal injuries in neck, and back.I have also had neck and back surgery, but have since fallen on ice very hard and have damaged neck and back.I need to know if there is a pill form in controlled release to replace patch?.Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.Thank you so much for your response. Found some pills in my sons bag (P500 oblong pill). I asked what it is and he says oxycodone 10/325, but I can not find it anywhere. Is it what he thinks it is? ## No, it is not. This tablet is manufactured by Pack Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 500mgs of Ciprofloxacin, which is an antibiotic. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Yes this is what it says; always check with your pharmacist! I hope that helps!! ## Found it on the floor. My parents were over today and it may be one of there's? It's white oblong and imprinted P500. ## Trying to find out what a white oblong p500 pill is ## The P 500 white oblong pill in question is indee...
Why do so many people want to abuse OxyContin leaving those of us who actually prescribed it for pain on the edge? ## I KNOW ITS SO UNFAIR PEOPLE THAT ABUSE OXYCONTIN MAKE IT HARD FOR PEOPLE THAT HONESTLY NEED IT FOR CHRONIC PAIN. I HAVE TAKEN 4 80MG OXYS FOR 10 YEARS AND MY DOC LOST HIS LICENSE & I NEED DOCTOR WILLING 2 TREAT MY PAIN WITH IT IN MONTGOMERY OR BIRMINGHAM AREA. ## Sorry to point this out but stefanie, your approach to pain management is largely a reason for this. I am sure you are a chronic pain sufferer but the problem is that now you are looking for a doctor to specifically prescribe this drug to you - you came into this thread and instead of answering Thomas' question you posted how you are looking for a doctor for this drug. Thomas, as you can see, this medica...
How many ibuprofen and acetaminophen equal 1 Vicodin ## Vicodin doesn't contain any Ibuprofen, so you honestly can't really compare it with this medication. Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, whilst Hydrocodone is a semi-synthetic opioid derived from codeine. Since neither of these are in the same drug class, it would be like comparing apples to bananas. You can learn more about each drug on the page for Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone Details and Ibuprofen Details From my own personal experience, it shouldn't be hard to get a prescription for Vicodin/Norco if your doctor can see that you really need it for pain management. I hope this info helps! ## I certainly didn't think that combining ibuprofen and acetaminophen would magically give me the drug Vicodin...
My mother was given a fentanyl patch (25mg/hr) after receiving radiation treatment for a cancerous tumour in her spine. When I discovered what a strong drug it was and that she was experiencing vertigo, I removed it immediately. I took this decision myself as I was unable to reach her doctor. She had worn the patch for just 36 hours. She had a peaceful night but has been shivering this morning. Could 36 hours of wearing a fentanyl patch be enough to give withdrawal symptoms? Is it okay for the withdrawal symptoms to die out on their own? I am still unable to reach her doctor. That is why I am posting these questions. I would be grateful for any advice. ## It is a very potent medication, over 80 times stronger than Morphine. However, I think taking it upon yourself to remove it may not h...
