Ive been taking the oxycontin for 10 yrs. best drug I ever had till the ops just came out. I only swallow them as directed. It used to take 30 min for me to feel them. Now its 3 hrs. and then it just slowly releases. A lortab is even better now. used to take a 40mg at 5 am-11am-and 5 pm. they worked great. some people I know couldnt take them for i made them drowsy or sick at their stomach. not for Me, it kept Me motivated and was perfect for my arthritis. [which is 24/7] my wrists are the size of baseballs. I need to find a substitute medication that will motivate me and not make Me sleepy. Can anyone help? Hi. I was wondering if anyone out there has been able to get Acetaminophen in IV form for everyday aches and pains or to take with oxycodone to make it more effective? Also, what is Toradol? I was taking hydrocodon 10-325 and now my dr switched me to Percocet 10-325 and when I take it it puts me to sleep for hours and keeps me drowsy all day is this what it is suppose to do when my other hydrocodone didn't do this to me I was able to stay active and alert and do my daily duties. ## Hello, Ricky! I am in the marine corp and was prescribed Oxycodone 5mg for an injury and on a drug test I tested positive for Morphine. I have never taken or been given Morphine. I have done research and have documents saying that Oxycodone can make a false positive for Morphine.
