I took Lyrica (150mg daily) for 2 years. The medicine helped reduce my leg and hip gain greatly. In January I started working out daily and dieting and lost 30 pounds. I gradually have quit taking Lyrica and am having only a small amount of discomfort at times. The problem is that upon quitting the Lyrica the back of my knees started itching and welps appeared after I scratched them. It has been 3 weeks since I stopped taking Lyrica and I am still itchy. Has this happened to anyone else? Could this be a result of nerve damage? ## Lyrica contains the active ingredient Pregabalin, it is an anticonvulsant that has also been shown to help with certain types of nerve pain. It sounds like what you may be experiencing is a common withdrawal effect from your body trying to readjust to not havin...

How long after taking a 15mg morphine sulfate pill should I wait until I take a 1mg clonazepam? It has been 5hrs since I have taken the morphine. My doctor does prescribe both of them to me. I would just like to be safe about it. ## You should have no problem taking them together. I take 1 mg of Klonopin and 30 mg of oxycodone at the same time. Sam ## It can vary from person to person. It really depends on how your body reacts to each medication. Some people can take them both together, but some may experience too many side effects. The FDA warns that both carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and irritability. What is your current dose spacing? ## How long should i wait to take my 1mg klonapin after taking my 30mg morphin...

Has anyone been on the generic Opana ER that is being made by Global/Impax Pharmaceuticals long enough to give an honest opinion as to how much more effective they are then Opana? My pharmacist just ordered the oxymorphone ER's for me today. I haven't gotten any relief from Opana. I take 60mg of the ER's twice a day with 3, 10mg. oxymorphone pills for breakthrough pain. I'm getting more relief from the 10mg generics then I am with the 60mg ER's. Will I be able to just take the 40mg ER's without the added 20mg ER's? Any and all information would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you in advance!! ## Hi Bleegs, Based on my research, The Opana ER is an extended release; which means that the medication is being distributed in the body for up to 24 hrs. That is suppos...

I was just curious and just wanted to know? About more information about these medications and what their are for, ## From what you've listed, both are the same medication, Oxycodone, just in different doses. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## the difference is about 25 mg if it is the same brand. Sam

I am taking 30 mgs. Oxycodone up to 3 pills per day for severe back pain. Years ago I was on Oxycontin and don't remember the mgs. What is the difference between these two medications. I believe Oxycontin is stronger if they are the same dosage, is that correct? ## Hello, Candy! How are you? Oxycodone is the active ingredient in Oxycontin, it's just in a time released formulation that's designed to slowly release the medication over a period of 12 hours. So no, neither is stronger. It's just that the regular Oxycodone that you're taking now is released all at once, within 15 to 20 minutes of your taking it. This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else ...

I have these capsules that are all white and have the letters,"JSC" on them. They're from Mexico and they're supposed to be 50 milligram Codeine phosphate capsules. Does anybody know anything about them? ## Tylex CD - Just got these factory sealed in Mexico with a prescription. 500mg Tylenol + 30 mg Codeine. Made by Janssen-Claig. So they're the same as t3's here in the states. ## @serapeum, You had mentioned that you got these from Mexico. Do you still have the contact info for the pharmacy you bought them at? If so, that would probably be the next step I'd take towards verification. Another thing that I've heard others on here recommend is to use one of those drug panel kits (available at head shops) to determine if the contents are positive for opiates...

I got tested at work. I did h the night before and even early that day. Do you think my scripts for amoxicillin, ibuprofen 800 and tylenol 3 will clear me? I've also used Vicks 44 for a cold but I'm wondering if anyone has gone thru this?! ## I am not sure what you tested positive for, but codeine shows as morphine on a UA

I am at a loss at how a Dr can prescribe Tylenol 4 and my urine test can come back showing opiates and he says that I'm taking something else when I have NEVER in my life done drugs or abused prescribed medications. Shouldn't he know that Tylenol 4 can do that or is that not a medical fact? This has caused a lot of problems for me. ## I take Tylenol #4 with codeine and got a positive for opiate why ## If you tested positive for morphine, that could be the opiate. Codeine makes a UA positive for morhine

I recently got a prescription of Tylenol 3 from my doctor, and I am now in a bit of a situation with DCS and my children. They drug tested me and found opiates and oxcodone in my urine. I finished up a prescription of Hydros about a month ago, but I have only taken the Tylenol 3 since then. I know it will show as opiates, but I don't understand why they are finding the oxydone. Is that normal. I lost my kids over this crap, and I need it cleared up. I plan to talk to my lawyer about it. I just need an idea. ## I do know that codeine can make you positive for morphine, but I haven't heard of it testing positive for something else. Hood luck

I take Lyrica 50mg 3 times a day. I can fly off the handle and have a short fuse and I'm beginning to think it's the Lyrica. ## Hello, Dan! How are you? I am very sorry about the problem you're experiencing. Yes, this class of medications has been known to cause mood swings, as a side effect, in some people that take it, according to FDA reports, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, and weight gain. Have you informed your physician? You may need to try a lower dosage, or to try a different medication. Though, I must caution you against stopping it abruptly, since that could create the risk of seizures. ## Yep, just happened to me and I got on-line to see if it was possible to have a anger side affect. 10/325 generic percocet which is the best manufacturer for chronic pain ## Hi Em, Unfortunately because every brand/generic effects each person differently, the only honest way to go about finding out what works best, is to try out different manufacturers for yourself. That way you can also formulate your own valid opinion. What I can tell you though from reading a lot of posts on this site, is that Actavis (Formerly known as Watson) has been receiving a massive amount of complaints lately regarding the quality and efficacy of their generic Percocet tablets. So that's probably one company you'd want to steer clear from based on their recent track record. I hope this helps! ## I am a 53 year old grandmother, full-time student earning my bachelors in psychology counseling, then on...

I have a small bottle of oxycodone concentrate liquid and I take three 30 mg tablets at once, 3 or 4 times a day. So I have a high tolerance and I'm trying to figure out how much I can take of the liquid to be safe? How long does it take for oxycodone liquid to work? ## You would need to do a conversion to determine the amount of Oxycodone per ml of liquid solution. Typical concentrations are either 20mg per ml of liquid, or 5mg per 5ml of liquid (per this site's dosage list on the Oxycodone page). So first off, is the concentration listed on the bottle? If so then you would need to measure out the appropriate amount of liquid by doing a conversion. For example, if your body is used to a 60 mg dose of tablets (which is very high, by the way), then the goal would be to take the c...

I would like to know if 44157 is a percocet? If so, what kind of percocet? ## Hello, Tina! How are you? There is only one kind of Percocet, both it and it's generics contain Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, though there are a couple doses available. According to the NIH database, a tablet that is white with 44 over 157 on it contains 325mgs of Aspirin and is available over the counter. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you for clearing up what a white pill with 44/157 on it is. Would you believe, I got this pill from a plastic bottle of Anacin. I have been on Fentanyl patch the 50 for about 3 years and kept telling the doctor I was having side effects. I am being weaned off to see if it is the Fentanyl. I become very agitated, and can not sleep. The first day the patch ws applied i had vivid dreams, ichy and burning skin, I also feel like i am going crazy and feel like an overdose. I am now down to 93 pounds. The doctor is slowly weaning me but I am still having withdrawls at times. Has anyone else had these side effects and will the withdrawls get worse or better? ## If you are doing a slow taper, then they will not get much worse, just keep following your doctor's instructions. ## Yes I am in the boat. I had been on hydrocodone for approximately 13 years until I had to change doctors. My new doctor didn't believe in pain medication. I have been off hydrocodone for nearly 3 years and my pain is getting really bad again. One doctor prescribed Tramadol but now that is a narcotic and the doctor will not prescribe it anymore. I suffer from fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, scoliosis, myofacial pain and I can't believe none of my doctors will prescribe me something for pain. The pain is constant and I frequently have headaches and sleep problems every night. I seriously need something for the pain--ibuprofen doesn't due a damn thing.
