Compared to other painkillers, how well do these work together - oxycodone and zanaflex? ## It really depends on the person, since everyone is different. The FDA does warn that Oxycodone carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache. Have they both been prescribed for you? The NIH does warn that you may experience more side effects, from combining them, such as more severe dizziness, and drowsiness.

I FOUND A ROUND WHITE PILL WITH A LINE ON ONE SIDE AND PA 917 ON THE OTHER, WONDERING WHAT IT IS. ## Hope this didn't come too late, but that's Torsemide 20mg... generic Demadex, a diuretic. ## Ian is correct, it used to help remove fluid from the body to help treat medical conditions, such as high blood pressure, edema, and congestive heart failure. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, increased urination, hypotension, and headache. I have 3 herniated discs in neck and back and bulging discs. Also arthritis in my whole spine. Also, neuropathy in my feet. I'm almost 70. I have been taking 20mg Percocet 8am and 10 - 15mg at 3-4pm. What should I expect, if I continue as I am? I have tried going without 3 times now and can't do much of anything, but sit on hot packs in a chair all day. ## Some people do require such a medication for the rest of their life, it is nothing to be ashamed of, or worried about, as long as you aren't abusing them. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Are you taking Percocet, or just Oxycodone? My friend got this pill and said it was an OxyContin 20mg, but I don't think so! It was yellowish in color, a small tablet with APO on one side and R20 on the other. I can't find a decent pain doctor in Mesa Arizona. I get prescribed 100 15mg oxycodones a month, but am just dying because they only give me 3 doses a day and 100 doesn't do it for me. I need at least 122-130. If anyone could help me out here with a doctor that would help me with that I would really appreciate it. I'm tired of being sad and in pain. I can't do nothing. My life really sucks. Thank you. ## Have you tried speaking to a doctor about raising the dosage, rather than trying to get them to prescribe more? There are higher doses available. What formulation are you taking, is it the regular release, or the time released? I have really bad rheumatoid arthritis and bad knees had one replaced have been on hydrocodone but now doctor is trying to get me to go off of that or at least go down to three a day this would work during the day but then at night I can’t sleep because of paint so can I take Tylenol p.m. to sleep at night ## If you are taking Hydrocodone that also contains Acetaminophen, it would be best not to add the Tylenol, since it also contains Acetaminophen, which could result in your experiencing Acetaminophen toxicity, and it has been known to be fatal. The FDA warns that Hydrocodone carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache. What has your physician advised to help with your insomnia issues?

Thus, if there is no imprint, it is not a legal U.S. prescription medication, although there could be a chance it is a foreign medication of some type. The FDA warns ...

I was prescribed Tramadol by my primary physician for years. I was in a motor vehicle accident and was rear-ended by a heavy duty truck (cement mixer). It caused severe back pain and sciatica. My pain is constant. I was able to live my life while on tramadol. Then the opioid scare hit and my physician told me she could no longer prescribe them and offered no help to get me of them. Isn't it the obligation of the physician to wean the patient off or offer an alternative? I did not want to take anything stronger because I could not function. My physician gave me the name of a pain clinic but did nothing to assist me in getting an appointment. I called them and the soonest appointment is 2 months out. I have been thru hell going from taking two 50 mg tablets 3 times a day to nothing. I...

I first took Vicodin about 20 years ago and I noticed that it made me fell like I thought I should feel if I was "normal". It wasn't a high or a buzz. It just brought my mood and focus up to a level where I thought it should be. I have brought it up to my doctors in the past and they just kind of shrug their shoulder. I'm 50 years old, taking 60mg Adderall & Citalopram each, day but it doesn't work as well as Vicodin. My inability to focus and lack of energy has affected my life drastically and it's become very serious in terms of finding & keeping a job and my health. Also, I'm aware of the addiction dangers but that is not an issue. I take a Vicodin maybe 2 or 3 times a month for back pain. What I'm trying to find out is if anybody else is aware...

I have been seen by the lexington va for 2 years now with constant back pain. I've had shots and therapy for the pain. The only thin my PCM is giving me is tramadol which I have been on for 2 years and is just not doing anything to help. ## Due to the new regulations that have been put in place, if you're looking outside of the VA, you'll need to see a pain management specialist to possibly have anything stronger prescribed. Have you tried asking your doctor to refer you to someone that can help more? Most VA's have their own pain management clinics. Have you tried that, yet? ## There are no new regulations stating only pain management drs can treat chronic pain. Although many drs prefer not to treat it. You can try another primary care dr or you can ask your primary car...

It should start relieving pain within 15 to 20 minutes of taking it. If it isn't working for you, your doctor should be informed as they may need to prescribe an alternative medication.
