The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dry mout...

I have to take a u.a. today for pain management Dr. If I take a 30mg. oxycodone 4hrs. before will it show up on the test? ## Yes, it will show up BUT remember that there are several types of tests, some will show the level of medication that you have and if you are supposed to be taking a certain amount daily but aren't they will be able to tell. I don't always take my pain meds, if I don't need them I don't take them but if I tell my doctor that he will either cut me off or reduce the dosage I get & I don't want that bc it took so long to find a medicine that worked I don't want any changes, I get around the level testing by crushing a small piece of the pill and putting just a few of the tiny powder pieces in the cup before I pee, it melts it & I have n...
Does it work? ## Yes, it does work well for opiates. I have used it in an emergency situation. But be sure to get a test drug strip and test yoruself bfore you go in so you know you are in the clear...but stat flush worked great. I used 1 day prior...( about 6 percocets)..hope this helps ## How do you use stat flush, I have no directions. ## I just want to know, I used heroin yesterday and today I went for my urine test. I followed the instructions of Stat and u followed up on it about an hour and half of my urine test. Do you think I will be in the Ok?? ## Pills or liquid?? And how many times did you urinate before and how long did you use it before going for test and it worked with doing opiates two days before?? ## My brother always smokes weed and buys this stuffs and passes drug te...
Hello..new here but I had asked my dr. To lower my oxcys. N I take oxycodone 30 mg. For break through pain. She may or may not drug test me but I will fail cause I took some 12 mg. Morphones that a friend gave me. No choice scared of w/ds ...what should I tell her.. please help!!! ## Hi ms pain lady! I would just tell her the truth. Honesty is the best policy. ## No worries. When you take a drug test, the test simply looks for "opiates". Both Morphine and Oxy are in the category of opiates, so either way, you would test positive. In other words, you'll be fine, because drug tests don't look specifically for Morphine, or Vicodin, or Percocet, etc, it just looks for "opiates". ## That is what I always have done and you are right but she didnt test me n usually its ...
I was wondering if anyone might help. I have been off my pain meds for 30 days now. I was taking about 320mg of oxycodone and 4-4mg Dilaudid a day. I quit cold turkey and havent had any meds in 30 days. It's been the worst month ever but believe it or not I am feeling much better. Im not having any more withdrawal symptoms. I am hurting very bad today in my neck where the problem is. I am wondering if I take a half or even a half of a half does anyone know if the withdrawal symptoms will come back. I definitely don't want to go through that again. I don't want the meds anymore I am just got to do something for the day to be able to move. Any response would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ## I'm pretty sure once you have a tolerance it stays that way for along time. It did...
I’ve been prescribed Percocet and was told I could take Advil (I imagine any type of ibuprofen) or Alieve to help boost the pain relief. Will I get the same by using Percocet in conjunction with Meloxicam or what would be the best way to boost it?? Other wise I might double up on the Percocet, which I really don’t want to do. ## Hello, Anthony! How are you doing? Have you tried just taking the Percocet by itself? What dosage have you been prescribed? The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache. Did your doctor tell you to take another medication with it? Percocet contains Oxycodone, and Acetaminophen, the latter of which boosts it, so usually another medication isn...
Round white pill. It has an odd symbol on one side that almost looks like pacman lol. On the other side it has a capital "C" with "30" underneath it. It's in an unmarked bottle that I found so I'm really curious as to what it is. Someone please help me identify it as I cannot find anything about it anywhere. ## Just found the exact same pill. The symbol is like a strange retro 9. Did you ever find out what it was? Related posts seems to suggest the C 30 could be for 30mg codeine?
Why did my drug screen at the dr office come back negative for Nucynta 100mg (4x's a day) when i've been on this medication for about 4 years? The looked at me like I was a drug dealer when in fact I take my medicine every single day of my life. ## Do they do a special tic screen for that b/c it wouldn't show up on a normal one. Did you run out of meds early-b/c since its related to ultram, I bet it doesn't stay in your system long but you would think it would be built up after taking it do long.. I know I've not been helpful, sorry. Maybe you can google for answers. ## I was prescribed Nucynta 75 MG 4 times per day for pain. Over a week ago I took a short trip and lost about 2 weeks' worth of meds. I have an appt. with my pain management nurse on Mon. 4/1 (in 3 ...
I have herniated discs and sciatica. I was referred to a pain management doctor, who prescribed Lyrica. After reading all of these posts, and finding out the side effects, I'm not sure I want to take this medicine. Has anyone had good results with Lyrica, without these side effects? ## I have been using it for about7-8 months for nerve pain caused by intercostal neuritis and it has worked great for me. Of course I still get pain, but it is greatly reduced in both severity and frequency. The side affects are lethargy at first and forgetfullness, but it goes away in a few weeks and to me was definately worth the wait. Weight gain- I am so overweight to begin with and on so many things that can cause weight gain, it is hard to tell, but on a WW, I lose easily if I take it seriously. An...
Need opinions for hydrocodone, specifically Vicodin 10-300 manufactured by Tris Pharma. I have had bad experiences with several generics of hydrocodone recently, like many people, the terrible headache & NO pain relief - such as white Watson & Mallinckrodt. So I might be trying Tris Pharma and need pain patient's opinions. Thanks. ## I haven't tried this one, so I cannot give you an opinion on that. I hope there are others that will chime in with their experiences. But, I can tell you that it can vary from person to person. What works for me, might not work for you, and vice-versa. The FDA does warn that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and it may cause side effects, such as dizziness, headache, nausea, constipation, and dry mouth. What are the ma...
I got my Percocet rx on March 15th which was actually 7 days early, but the pharmacist let me pay cash for it. Would I be able to run it through my insurance tomorrow, which would be about 32 days I believe? Or will they stop me from getting it filled? What do you think? April 15th will be 32 days if I'm correct on my math. Now that could be questionable. :) Thanks...... ## It depends on the specifics. Is it 32 days from when you had it filled the last time, or just 32 days from when your insurance covered having it filled? I'm sorry, I can't see when you posted this question, so I must ask you for more details. These details are logged in a government database, so both the government, and your insurance will know when you last had it filled. As to the 7 days early, there ca...

Have you had things checked out to check your kidney and liver function? You should also have a cardiac workup, as you may have done some damage to your heart. What types of symptoms are you having, now? ## Lost your memory of that night or of all the years before? ## @Verwon, ...
For many yrs I was prescribed oxymorophone 30 mg 5 pills 2 times a day with hydromorphone as break through med. in last two yrs since my PM dr was closed by uncontrolled DEA I’ve not been able to get my medical records proving a world of alternatives I tried. I’m now only offered all same non opioid alternatives that failed me. I’d rather die than go through my last 20 yrs on that at age 63 than spend those yrs retrying all the non opioid alternatives that I have already tried. All I have are Pharmacy records that pain management dr only see me as a drug abuser. What happened to the relationship of dr/patient? It’s government dr patient. Im a 63 yr old NJ chronic pain patient who has had no opioids for 2 long yrs, no medical records. Hasn’t slept more than ...
I live in North Alabama and have been trying to find a local General Practitioner. I am running into the Dr.’s not accepting me when they find out I have a Pain Management Dr. I also have just been diagnosed with Breast Cancer and it’s important I get in to a Dr. The Doctors all make you fill out an application to become a patient and they decide if they will accept you, even though they advertise in local papers they are accepting new Patients. I feel so alone and discriminated against. ## Dear blueyes, Feel terrible for you. Hope you find a GP soon. A gal battling cancer, and I'm sure other issues, should be at the top of the list. So you think because you've been in pain management, you are being discriminated against? I have been avoiding PM for years. For one th...
I’m taking hydrocodone for sciatica until I get approval for my injection. Now I’m having severe nausea, constipation, dizziness and a bout of Afib. Anyone else face this horrible situation? Thanks. ## It is an opiate, and they are known to raise the risk of someone experiencing Afib, according to FDA reports. The nausea, dizziness, and constipation are also common side effects, along with headache, and dry mouth. It also carries the risk of being habit forming. What injection are you looking into? Can you post back and be more specific? That would enable me to provide you with more information. Are you on any other medications?
I can not find this exact pill anywhere. Does anybody know exactly what it is? It has 44 148 on one side and 500 on the opposite side and is a white round pill. I believe it is pretty old and discontinued maybe and that's why I'm having a hard time. ## This tablet is now manufactured by Teva Pharmaceuticals and they have stopped printing the 500 on the opposite side. Teva lists it as containing 500mgs of Acetaminophen, which is a generic, or store brand of extra strength Tylenol. So yes, the one you've found is old. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, headache, dizziness, and stomach upset. These are also available in some first aid kits. This medication is most commonly used to treat fever, dizziness, and moderate aches/pains. Is there anyth...
