Pain Management Using Narcotics In/near Exeter Rhode Island
UpdatedHi! I have severe diabetic neuropathy, several amputations on both feet, and an ulcer on my one remaining big toe. I have been thinking of moving in with friends in Rhode Island. I am disabled, so I have Medicaid. Looking for a pain management doctor that takes Medicaid or one that is reasonably priced. But mainly I need one who uses pain meds. Shots don't work for osteo neuropathy (or not on me), and Lyrica only helps with the tingles/numbness. HELP! I'm on 2 60mg MS-Contin's two times a day plus 1 10mg oxycodone for breakthrough as well as Lyrica.

Hello, Oneminuszero! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in so much pain.
It might actually be easiest to find someone by setting yourself up with a new PCP, after you move, and then having them refer you to someone.
The FDA lists this medications as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Unfortunately, I have no listing of doctors according to what insurance they accept, or what they will or not prescribe that I can refer to for you.
Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?
