Pain Management Doctors In And Around The Baton Rouge Area That Prescribe Meds To People Who Really Need Them & Accepts Medicaid (Page 5)
UpdatedDoes anyone know of a doctor in and around the Baton Rouge Louisiana area that will prescribe pain meds that takes Medicaid? I'm seeing a doctor now in Maryland but I really need to move back to Louisiana very sad that your pain keeps you from moving. I have a sister that is terminally ill and sad to say dying...and meds are keeping me from going to take care of her in her final days. Please help
I am. being told that now by United Healthcare if u keep receipts thru will reimburse u bc my family had to pay to see Podiatrist 125.00 he told me it was put his scope I needed custom made orthotics and neuropathy treatment they do it was so expensive I can't walk still trying to find a cash pay
I need just a doctor that will listen to me and if he or she can't fix my problem or issue medicate me until a solution is available. I'm 31 and I sh a way better quality of life. I've had chronic nerve damage in my shoulder and neck since I was 19 and also have none epileptic seizures and as a result of these starting out of nowhere I suffe chronic migraines. My doctor finally after two years of visits and me researching different medications put me on Tylenol 3 for both my back and head. With other meds. He retired almost 2 years ago and I can't find a doctor that isn't aft of standing behind the oath they take and treat people and heal them above anything else. I'm a RN and I get frustrated and will tell the doc on duty to change professions if they are to much of a coward to do their jobs God granted them the God given talent of having and fix the ailment or help manage it the best way possible. it's sad, I know more government official and police officers, lawyers, firemen, school teachers that sell drugs, make drugs, and take drugs illegally and nothing happens to them. It's not right and someone has to take a stand someone has to scream pain isn't pain let the medical professionals do their jobs without harassment and prosecution from the law. Let us individuals sign waivers relieving the doctors not responsible if we get hurt. im in denham springs Louisiana and I have Medicaid and ameri-health. Can anyone let me know which doctor to check out?
If you were an RN, why are you on Medicaid? It will be very difficult to find a Dr that accepts Louisiana Medicaid that will rx you pain meds. You need to see a Pain Management Dr and they don't accept Louisiana
Medicaid. So you will have to pay out of pocket. A new Dr is under no obligation to continue you on meds from a previous Dr. Matter of fact, a current Dr is under no obligation to continue meds they have prescribed in the past. You problem is you're seeing Louisiana Medicaid Drs.
Try Dr Paul Kramm. ONLY IF YOU DO NOT ABUSE OR SELL YOUR MEDS. He tests and you'll be gone fast like Mach 7
I am so sorry for what you and many legitimate patients are going through. Dr Kramm. Make sure your taking your meds as he will test you. Good luck my friend.
Go read my post I just typed. It should help the genuine person in pain. The Dr is no dummy so keep EVERYTHING TRUTHFUL. Good luck
Does he accept self pay patients ?
Yes,Shana,he does. His cash payment was $215. I think it's still the same. Call the office as soon as you can. Again, I'm sorry for the long wait and all you've been through. Good luck and please tell me if all work out.
No he's only taking insurance now :(
I called last week Bc my dr in New Orleans was arrested in that Big DEA bust "OperationPilluded " so I called Dr Kramm to see if he's taking new patients & they asked what insurance I had & I said none & they said they are not seeing patients wo health insurance. Soooo I had to call around & they have a few in New Orleans & 1 in lafayette called Ace pain management. Right now PM Drs are scared Bc the DEA is all over them & want to shut down all PM clinics! They think strong opioids should be for cancer patients only! Sad!
Try Dr.Erich Ehlenberger in Kenner La. It's $200 month.
He must accept you 1st. But he should. And he tests etc. Very detailed dr. And long waits but good.
I'm sorry to hear that. I was a self pay patient years ago. Well, I had insurance when I started going but die to a job change lost the insurance. He let me self pay. His practice is changing drastically since I first saw him.
I don't know where Dr Jeff Adair is but he is a good Dr. He test but he is a good Dr.
I don't believe Dr Adsorption can prescribe controlled substances ant longer. Go to the Louisiana Board Of Medical Examiners website and chose the Discipline Action link and put his name in. I believe he is at University Hospital now in Shreveport.
Suboxone can also be used to treat pain. Recently there was a documentary done on Military personnel returning from serving overseas, with injuries and severe pain, due to these injuries. Suboxone was first used to treat those that had become addicted, due to treatment, while injured. Suboxone was starting to be recognized and used, for treatment of pain. It's not the usual treatment and is commonly known, as being used for the treatment of drug addiction/dependency. Actually it does work for pain. I know. I've been in pm, for years and have tried suboxone myself, after seeing this documentary, to see if there is anything substantial to it being used for pain. It does help pain.
I meant Dr Jeffrey Adair.
If you take a Med that is used for the treatment of drug addiction, you may not be able to find another Dr that will treat your pain with opiates.
Alexis B. if there is some way you can route me elsewhere I will gladly give you the name of a wonderful PM Dr. He is in Slidell and is strictly legit. He takes Medicare, not Medicaid, but will let you self pay. As long as you have your records that you need, to verify your injuries, or disease. First you have to fax all the information to his office, along with a 1year print out, of your RX. He will then go over the records and his office will notify you, with an appointment. He is an awesome Dr. He is NOT for drug seekers and is strictly professional, but a wonderful, caring Dr. and does the best, to his ability to keep you as pain free, as possible. His appointment is $300 each visit and yes he does give a U/A on the first visit, as well as random U/A's. However, if you have nothing to hide there is nothing to fear.
