P500 Markings On Walmart Brand Tylenol, Normally Marked L484

Yes I found these in a generic Walmart brand of tylenol, 500 mg. I buy them all the time and they are normally printed with L484. I always check before I take them because I am on a lot of medication and don't want anything mixed up. Of course I just freaked out on my kids and husband thinking somebody had brought narcotics of some kind in to our house.

Sorry to hear about what happened between you and your family. I hope they realize that you meant well and were simply concerned about everyone's safety/well-being.

That said, I too find it very strange that a completely different tablet would be inside another box of medication. It's a shame that there's no easy way to prove it to a pharmacist there at Walmart.

The P500 (oblong / pink) tablet reportedly contains a combination of Acetaminophen (Tylenol) 500mg + Propoxyphene Napsylate 100mg.

NOTE: You had every right to freak out, so don't feel bad - Propoxyphene is in fact classified as a narcotic (opioid analgesic). It's a synthetic drug, chemically related to methadone; and as such should require a prescription to obtain.

No, these are white pills with a p500 on one side. They are not pink nor is the p on the opposite side of the tablet. I got these from walmart the other day as a headache medicine, over the counter. the box said acetaminophen and asprin.
