Oxycontin Op And Oc What's The Difference (Page 8)
UpdatedI've been taking the oxycontin oc for years now. I want to know what exactly is in the new oxycontin op? PLEASE HELP
That's it..I'm sick of this..It has been a month now and I can't get rid of this nausea...I just threw up yet again..I go see the doc in two weeks and this stuff is going bye-bye..Perdue will hear again and monday I am going to the FDA and FILE a complaint until I get an answer..And If I can't get anything to stabilize this pain, I'm filing for disability noone cares so why should I..I'm not working in pain so some four eyed idiot who has complaints about things completely overblown is satisfied...Screw this country...And I hate to say that I am a veteran who use to love it...
Same price for BS..Mess up things for people doing the right thing by a few just wanting a few quick jollies..This country is run by crooks so therefore only crooked solutions will be found..Pat pays paul and so forth and so on...
I am a post accident and TBI patient for the last 3 1/2 years or so I've done so many injections in my spine I feel like a pin cushion! I went to a new pain spec. and we discussed long term opioid treatment. If this new Oxycontin has a side effect of headache's it's the last thing I need. I am at Maximum medical improvement and have been told the pain will only get worse. Maybe I should talk to my new Doc about this.
Oh and Anna here is what BHT is:
Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT), also known as butylhydroxytoluene, is a lipophilic (fat-soluble) organic compound that is primarily used as an antioxidant food additive (E number E321) as well as an antioxidant additive in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, jet fuels, rubber, petroleum products, electrical transformer oil,[2] and embalming fluid.
Just something we all want in our Bodies.. I have a friend Boyd that is a chemist maybe I'll have him explain all of the inert ingredients to Me.
Perdue might as well close up shop because the new pills are just dreadful. Pain level is SUPER HIGH now. Drug users are gonna abuse anything, the people that are really in pain and its helped throughout the years are the ones that are gonna pay for it. Purdue...You pretty much changed my life from bad to worse. You put the drug users demands before ours. I want my old meds back! LISTEN TO US ALL!
i also am very upset about the change but for those who feel like ending yourself i have the answer that will get u the old ones!!!!!! i have a friend in the pharm. and heres what u do when u bring in you prescription tell them the op's give you very serious stomach pain the law is if they have a generic they have to give it to u unless u ask for brand this is why everyone wasnt able to find the oc's for like a month or 2 so the flooded the op's in so we think thats all they have when really they stopped making them so we thought they were no longer making them all u have to do is say u have a bad reaction and you cannot take that brand and they will give you the old ones they still make them but they wanted us to think they didnt u just gotta kno ppl to get answers makes sence right!!! so i hope this helps try a few pharmacys if the 1st one doesnt work but i promise there out there my best friend works for walgreens and she showed me all the info just make sure you tell them u CANT take the op's they make you sick give u stomach cramps and also are not affective and they will give u the others they just didnt want us to kno!!!! i hope this helps cuz the new ones are horrible 30mg roxys work better i had to take 3 op's to feel anything or get relief i hope this helps and works in ur area it does in tampa bay area contact me if u live in st.petersburg fl ill tell u where to go god bless you all i hope this helps feel free if ur in my area ill send u in the right direction ok good luck all
I have also heard of all the problems of the new op's and decided not even to try them. I have had no problem getting generics. They are instock and will continue in the following years.
1–800–FDA–1088 is the number to call to complain/notify the FDA of the inefficiency of the OP formula that does not work for me either
Marilyn, I am in the Tampa-Clwtr. area and I would be so pleased for where to go and my wife needs too. Pre-rotator cuff surgery. PLEASE ADVISE
Marylin, please advise locations, I am in Pasadena/st. pete
who ever is saying there are generics for years to come is not right, they no longer make them and whats on the shelf is all thats left
do your research not one company makes them Not One
You can get the oc's if your Doctor rights No Substitute on your script.
Just read this and I did recieve Do Not Substitue for 80mg OC at the time while Purdue was still making them without the Oxy Posion-Plastic or Puddy named for their product now. All products are in the making for NO tampering. All pain medications. Unless you can name the product in the exact form for me to tell my doctor I will have to be content with the 30mg IR Oxycodone I do recieve now. My next problem is to get added tablets to round out when these fad and the pain is high. But if you have info to better my life please foward in complete detail. And I will bring this up with my doctor. thank you
The doctor can write what ever he wants you will be getting the OP
Everyone has to accept the OC are gone and will not be seen unless they can get Purdue to release others to produce generic forms again or unless the plastic substance causes some deaths
It would be best if they just pulled them as they have the Darvon and Darvocett which after 40 years plus Darvon has been the cause of heart problems and many deaths and they are now just pulling it off the market
I have also been on oxycontin oc since 2003 they have worked well until they changed them. First I thought it was me or my illness getting worse but now I know its not. I need to take alot more of these to feel like I felt with my regular dose of oc. They do not last no where near as long as the oc. I never woke in pain in the middle of the night with oc now I take my second dose earlier because I need it and end up waking in terrible pain because they dont last. Not to mention the upset stomach and dry heaves that I never had with the original oc.Wondering if anybody else feels the same way?
I TOO LIKE EVERYONE ELSE SUFFER WITH BAD BAD BACK AND KNEES PLUS NOW FYBERMYALGER. THE OC WHERE SO MUCH BETTER I FIND I NEED TO TAKE 4 INSTEAD OF 3 AND MY OCYCODON IS NOW 6 I CRY EVERY DAY IN PAIN I HAVE BEEN ON OTHER DRUGS BUT OXY NOW FOR 5 OR YEARS CAUSE THEY DID HELP
Please help us all that need for real pain
Then 2 pharmcists are lying to me. I can't get anything BUT generic. My insurance won't pay name brand. I get apotex. There are generics on the way.
Honey u r not alone i want to know what all this jell is doing to r insides they will not change them back because theFDA won't let them they won't even tell u what is in the new pills for fear people will crack how to abuse them quicker (so they say)
I am so angry over our lack of moral's in this country! It appear's it's ok to lie if conveniet. We have and are being lied to by our doctors and our pharmacy's. Purdue lied about old formula and now is lying about new. My understanding is this formula was not even tested on PEOPLE. As long as the new formula deals with pain..great but darn it..what wil BHT do to my kidney and liver. Tests done on rats with BHT ruined their kidneys. By the time they find us dying of kidney failure it's too late. And with Obamacare we will be on our own. Obamacare isn't about providing healthcare..it's about money.I have heard too often pharmacists being told to lie to patients so as to sell their new op's. But yes one can get the generics.
" Coming from a medical background I was very reluctint to start this drug."
What kind of medical background can someone who can't spell really have?
I had a 1 month adjustment, they weren't exactly the same, but they work just fine. All of your complaints are just making your doctors suspicious of you. There is NO poison in them, the ingredient list IS available and there is NOTHING toxic. You people are going to end up killing those of us who don't abuse our meds by getting them the feds to eliminate their use altogether. I hope you will be happy then. Maybe medicaid should stop paying for them and see how many people still need them.
I would love to beleive you..but BHT is toxic..very toxic. And if one can't in anyway break down the op's as lovely as the idea is..what makes you think you can break them down in your digestive system. Ppl. are not complaining over the anti abuse aspect..thats great but just don't kill the patient while your at it. Bht will damage one's kidney. Also suspect is liver damage and brain. Look up the side effects of BHT poisioning..you will be alarmed.
