Oxycontin 80mg Op Are Going Back To Oc (Page 10) (Top voted first)
Updatedswitching back to original form
I just now read your post from February and yes, I also get the pain in ruq, I actually had my gallbladder removed with the Doctor thinking this would relieve my pain. Well no it did not do it is obviously the medicine after they changed the formulation, as I have been on medicine for many years and when they changed it is when this started happening to me.
This is all absolutely true.. I hope one day there will be a legal case over this because if a person wants to tamper they can.
I can prove what I'm telling now. I had over 8 Maj, Back Surgerys, and 7 not so Maj, the longest one was 14 hours long in N,Y. I had meaning doctors in the last 24 years and some dr. had me on meds that put me out of my mind when on them. and I been with out pain meds at one time for a year, that was one of my mostly darkest days, not because I did any wrong doing! I have an upstanding History with Meds I've taken and On Now. Since I've been taken OXYCONTIN 80s N 40s OC before the Ops I was able to be my self somewhat and not High or in a drug state of mind like other meds I was Prescriped in the past... Now with the op ist ONLY HALF of the OC can Do for MY CHRONIC PAIN I'm IN 24/7, my dr. gives drug panels to all that get Pain Meds. I never FAIL a Drug panel, or Do I DRINK ALCOHOL, I wish they come back with the OC OxyContin for people who truly need them.. ARE THEY OUT NOW OXYCONTIN OC? Like it's posted that they are back oc.
Exactly what do Suboxonevstrips look like?
They look like thin orange colored rectangles in a blue plastic wrapper. As thin as paper and about and inch long and half an inch wide. The suboxone sublingual films are best cuz cant be tampered with and can easily be segmentized and are 1.5 times stronger than pills (which crumble)
after 5 failed back operations and 2 neck operations along with 3 surgeries on my r. arm the new oxycoinn does nor work. will the will they ever bring back the original oc's?
I have suffered many years with chronic pain from severe neuropathy ,fibromyalgia R.L.S two transplants ,shingles that left with more nerve damage except this was in my face ,I go through 3x a week painful dialysis treatments ,and yet with all the doctors I have including Palliative care doctors ,I can not seem to get through to anyone how awful I have been since they changed Oxycontin .I am just a shell of a person I used to be .I just got home from my pain specialists at Palliative care and informed them that I was giving up and making plans to stop dialysis because I just have absolutely no quality of life anymore . I came home to write this and came across this information about generic Oxycontin 80' s being the same as the original formula .Is this true ? I hope it is but I would appreciate anymore information ,with gods speed .Thanks !
Caggor if you're in America the Sandoz generic 80mg are made by Perdue for Sandoz and it's the exact same crappy pill as the brand name. The only difference is the price.
If you're in Australia the Sandoz generic 80mg are made by Sandoz are comparable to the quality of the original OC Oxycontin
the 30 mg. is for break through pain( roxcicodone) taken every 6 hours.
they help more than the 80 mg. now they have me on 2 50mg. ms cotin because of the price of the oxyicotin cost so much more than the oxy, 80 mg. $45.00 FOR MS. C0TIN. OR OVER 500.. DOLLARS FOR THE MS. COTIN BEFORE I HAD
Walgreens sucks!!! Dr. d*** in savannah will not fill any prescripts that has been written out of the county. Total legal script. I will not go through Walgreens ever again. They look at you as if you are a junkie. I pulled my shirt up and showed him my surgical scars on my back and neck. His reply, I do not care, I will not fill them.
You can get the OC 80S still, not hard, go to Walgreens if you get a script and ask for generic brand. Takes 4-7 days but old ones
LOVED YOUR POST, MARY RICHARDS (or is it Chuckles the Clown).... LOL!!!
Are the originals actually available in the US again? I am confused.
Thank you for your service but seriously man you need to find a new doctor. I feel sorry for you and hope you find relief soon.
Do you know what brand of generic it is that is going back to the original formula? I've been taking pain meds for over 6 years and I can't take morphine any more. It ties my stomach in a knot so tight I can't function. I'd definitely switch to the OC if they went back to the originals
Whats the manufacture name of this new original forula in genric form? It should say right on the bottle. Just curious why you left that part out as it was asked and is vital to the convo and thread?
It depends on the dose. If anaddict is 100 mgs of morphine a day and a person treating pain that is physically dependent but not live ing an addict life, they will go thru the same with drawl.
Both will be miserable.
It's like which weighs more a pound of feathers or a pound of lead.
It's the same. They both weigh a pound.
The addict will prob take what ever they can get their hands on and more than they should until they r good n high
The physically dependent person if they r smart will find anything also and not take more than they should. Hopefully would know enough to just nibble on them to take the edge off and not be so sick.
The physically dependent person will still be just as addicted.
But they aren't living the whole addict life style of having to always get more and take more than they should.
But they would still suffer if they just quit taking them. Just as much as the addict.
Did u get then op the oc? Because sum states are changing there prescription an distributor also there facture and was just curious of state-to-state if they have because the process of change to illumination
Can someone PLEASE CONFIRM WITH 100% CERTAINTY IF THEY'VE RECEIVED "ORIGINAL" LOOKING OXY WITH "OC" (NOT OP PRINT) FROM A PHARMACY OVER LAST YEAR (2016-2017)?
Are there generics being made that look like the old OC's? Are they being made in different countries or by different companies? Or is there old inventory still out there?
REASON I ASK: A friend recently had a pill which had "OC" on one side and "40" on the other. Looked 100% like the old original versions.
However, I don't know where he could have gotten it from so I am SKEPTICAL if it is real? Or a fake he got on the street?
There are a lot of fakes floating around today from bad sources (with fentanyl) which is very scary.
So I am trying to determine if it's still even possible for someone to get the old style OC from a pharmacy or reputable source anymore?
If anyone can confirm; then perhaps my friend does have the real thing (or what some of you have called the new "generic" version of Oxy).
Thoughts? Thanks!
Whatever works for you then take it up with your doctor. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Whatever happened to the real good pain medications like dilaudid or fentanyl? Too many abusers is what happens and sadly it's children that mostly die from getting it off the streets or in their own parent's drawers. If you listen closer to the news we have people dying everyday all over illicit drugs mixed with Fentanyl, so please everyone...be safe with your meds. To answer the main question, is there a oc 80 mg anymore, no. They got done making them since too many people like abusing them. They do have a liquid but that's if your lucky I suppose. I met someone who had the liquid because he was an abuser of his meds. But if you don't want a bad name for yourself with your doctor just take the oxycodone 30 mg. It's the highest generic pill of oxycontin. They last only 3 to 4 hours whereas the oxycontin ER 80 or even 40 mg dosent matter, last for 8 hours. Do the math. There's only 24 hours in a day and the body needs to shut down sometime so that way people sleep.
