I understand that this is a Percocet, but is it a 5/325 mg dosage? If so, what is the equivalent to a 10 mg hydrocodone? ## Yes, that is correct, it is manufactured by Actavis Elizabeth. Each 5mgs of Oxycodone is listed as being equivalent to 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone, so this is a little bit stronger. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?

i just picked up my new prescription for 15mg oxycodone hcl ir for this month,2/26/15. it is made by rhodes pharmaceuticals and is white and very large for this kind of medication. it has to be the absolute weakest i have gotten and i have been on this pain management drug for over 7 years. over the years i have gotten what i thought to be about every different manufacture there was on this drug . does anyone who is, actually know the best one and who carries it in their pharmacy. this #$@#! is crazy!!! ## Agreed... My question to you is, is the extra cost not worth validity and assurance that you are getting exactly what you are prescribed? I'm prescribed 20mg oxycodone and Xanax and take a standard drug screen to make sure I'm using my meds. I am taking 5mg (blue tablet) twice a day for back discomfort. I’ve been on it for quite s while I would say couple of yrs. I want to know if it can cause me to have a seizure every so often. They can’t find out any cause for them. I have no history of them or no one else in my family has seizures. I never ever had them before. I also get hot flushes through my whole body that last about 5 minutes or so every once in awhile. I want to go off them. How do I go about it. been going to pain managment clinic in tampa florida this entire year the name brand pharmacy;s don't carry the medication so i cant use my insurance. so mom and pop pharmacies carry it but wont take insurance. Did you double check with the doctor and pharmacy? Percocet is an opiate narcotic that is used to treat pain, and guaifenesin is definitely not. The FDA warns that Percocet carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Some people do believe that Guaifenesin helps with Fibromyalgia, but other studies have not proven that.

I tried one of my friend's 5 mg Oxycodone pills for pain. How long will that stay in my urine? I drink lots of water. ## Oxycodone can reportedly be detected in your urine for up to 3-4 days after your last dose. Although, I have heard of some patients getting it out of there urinary system in 2 days time for a drug test, by drinking plenty of water (as oxycodone is excreted through urine). Hello everyone! I had an MRI done in December of 2010 on my lower back and was treated with oxycontin 30mg and muscle relaxants from a clinic in Fort Lauderdale, FL. I did that for one month and the pain in my back was gone but I was afraid to get addicted so I stopped and have since been in progressively worse pain. I was prescribed 270 30 mg oxycodone take one every 2-3 hours as needed for pain. Is this a common dose? It seems extreme to me but my prior dose is not effectve anymore. ## It is not common, but if you are tolerant to Oxycodone and have been using it for a long time, then it is no necessarily dangerous, either. Many doctors will try this when their patient has build up a tolerance to their current dose and dosing schedule. Especially if alternative medications don't work. And have a Dr appointment in a few days is there any way I can get the weed out of my system and still have the oxycodone in my system? ## Hi Kim, To my understanding, oxycodone doesn't stay in your system nearly as long as cannabis does. It should naturally be excreted from your system in a matter of days (usually within 3-5 days); while cannabis can take as long as 30-90 days for the most tolerant of users. Unfortunately, drinking a lot of water will only help the get the oxycodone out of your system faster, since it is excreted through urine. I just gave my husband 600mg ibuprofen 2 hrs ago. Can I give him the 10 mg oxycodone now or do I have to wait 2 more hours? ## Yes, ibuprofen is a different class of drug and can be taken at the same time, though for better pain control they are often staggered. So if he's prescribed oxycodone every 6 hours, you could give a dose, then 3 hrs later give ibuprofen, 3 hrs later give the oxycodone again...and so on. I have a white oblong pill that just has A5 on it. I cant find info on it anywhere. Is it supposed to be oxycodone? ## There are white round Oxycodone (5mg) pills that are marked with A5, but I haven't come across an oblong one yet. For verification, the round ones are manufactured by Actavis and carry a National Drug Code of 00228-2876. You could contact Actavis directly to find out if they switched from round pills to oblong pills... Otherwise, if yours isn't from a licensed pharmacy then I can only assume that it's counterfeit, foreign, or something else altogether. Hope this helps!
