&I have been on hydrocodone 10 /325 : 4 to 5 times a day taken 1 every 6 hours. I've taken it for 6 years. In the beginning it worked great for my breakthrough pain but eventually it stopped being as effective, so my doctor switched me to 10 milligrams of oxycodone hcl 3 times a day Just recently but 10 milligrams did not seem to be enough,So I began taking 20 milligrams in the morning and 20 milligrams in the evening sometimes needing 10 milligrams during the night if I wake up in pain. Is the oxycodone hcl that I'm taking comparable to the hydrocodone 10/325 that I was taking, or is the dosage of oxycodone hcl seem excessive & much stronger Because although the 20 mg Dosage works better than the hydrocodone did, It still seems that I may need 10 mg more for the pain to...

My Pharmacy just gave me the blue pill with the U23 on it and so far it seems to be working the same if not somewhat better than the smaller blue pills that I had prior. Seems lately that whatever type of Oxycodone I take is having an adverse effect on me and making me very tired after a few hours. I never had that problem before. ## I believe the U23 are manufactured by Aurobindo. I've had that manufacturer in percocet form and it wasn't the worst. It's acceptable and works for the pain but has more side effects than it should. It seems like all of the generics as of late are really lacking in efficacy. My mother is 74 yrs old. Had rotator cuff surgery 4 days ago. Had to take her to the ER on day two. There they gave her an IM Dilaudid shot and sent her home. Called the doctor on call the next day and ask if they could admit her for pain management, he proceeded to tell me that the insurance would not pay for it. Post-op surgery they gave her Percocet 7.5/325 1-2 every 4-6 hours for pain. To make a long story short. Two was too strong so she had the 5-325 and took two every four hours and that would help her pain level which would be tolerable at 5. This is 3900mg of tylenol. Too much in only 24 hours. Hi my name is Andrew. i suffer from 2 bulging discs in my lower back and degenerate disc disease. i presently have kaiser but i done having them screw with me and i am switching to the ppo offered through my work. So swim recently was in a injuring car accident. He has relived his pain very aggressively. He has taken 23 roxi 30’s and 2 op80’s in 4 days. He was not dependent on opiates prior to this but has taken them a couple times before with each time spaced out a couple months. He naturally has a high tolerance for opiates. I take Percocet all the time every 6 hours. This time i noticed the pill was round instead of oblong and has 230 on one side. This pill is worthless, I feel absolutely nothing. NO PAIN RELIEF AT ALL. i usually take 1 blue 30mg oxycodone pill but right now, i have 6 5mg oxycodone pills-is it ok to take all 6 at once if im use to taking 1 30mg oxycodone pill? ## Good question,.....on one hand I would say ther shouldn't be any problem taking six 5mg tables. However, when combined and taken together this may seem like an increase to your body. To be safe, I would say don't take more than 3 at a time. ## It also depends on the type of Oxycodone, were you taking the time released that is the generic for Oxycontin, the immediate release or the regular release formulation? And are the 5mg pills the same formulation? If they are, then it would be the same as taking 30mgs, but if they are not, it will not work the same.
